If you make a chamber and go inside. And a machine makes it a vacuum (sucks all air out).

And you take a zip bag out of your pocket, and put something inside like a peanut for example. And you close it.

Will the sides of bag stick to peanut or will they behave like regular bag and you having to squeeze out the ???? so it adheres to peanut?

??? meaning - there is no gasses in the room at all. How the fuck can and what is, existing, in the space between the peanut and sides of bag?
>>
if its a true vacuum the sides of the bag should just be effected by gravity. the sides would neither "stick" to the nut nor push away from it, they would just go where gravity pulls them

and there would be nothing in the bag other than the nut assuming the bag was open while the chamber was evacuated. there's also nothing outside the bag applying any pressure to it
>>
air expands so while the air is being extracted the bag Wil inflate until it pops open. the air from within the bag and the peanut will escape. You'll essentially be left with an open bag and yes you'd have to close the bag around the peanut just like you would if there were air. You just have to picture the bag in space
>>
Assuming the bag begins folded (so there is no extra air), it will behave just like normal. The pressure inside and outside the bag will be equal (vacuum), just like usual, so it will behave the same.
>what is, existing, in the space between the peanut and sides of bag
Nothing, just like what exists between you and the sides of the chamber.

SPACE....
