Dark matter and matter don't interact and can therefore pass through each other and occupy the same space.

The point of an aether is that it exists where normal matter/particles does not. This is different from fields where excitations in a field literally ARE the existence of normal matter/particles. So basically when you suppose the existence of an aether you're saying "assume there are particles where there aren't particles" which makes no sense. Hope this helps.

I have come to suspect, though admittedly at the influence of a gaggle of pseudo-scientists I've run across, that we did figure out how the universe actually works at the most fundamental level and there's a huge coverup because the implications are both extremely dangerous if the average person knew how to exploit a more fundamental physics and because its very advantageous to monopolize the knowledge while profiting off of a much more limited paradigm. It's hidden in the semantics when you read about GUTs like SO(10).

In short I hypothesize the following of its nature: That the universe is a single object, roughly spherical, continuously generating new energy at the edges of its expansion fueling a semi-stable binding force of all its interior entanglements or 'islands' we know from particles to astronomical bodies. We may be able to understand it better if we build telescopes designed to study much longer wavelengths of light instead of focusing so much on the quantum realm like we are now. Overunity tech might also be possible, which would be a really good reason to mislead everyone regardless of other intentions because it only takes one crazy ape to blow up the whole planet.

>>
>>17050618
The "normal person" understanding of spacetime (Galilean relativity) converges with Einstein's relativity as you take the speed of light -> infinity.
Einstein relativity is the only one that actually makes sense though. With Galilean relativity you wouldn't have causality (there would be no time between an effect and a cause).

I genuinely don't see what the issue is with that and how that removes causality.

Suppose you have a positive and negative charge +q and -q separated by some distance d.
For the sake of argument let's suppose that +q has a friction force that counteracts the weak electric force at distance d.
Now suppose that I move +q (not -q) so that the distance between the charges is now d*. Suppose at this distance the electric force overcomes friction and the particles start to move towards each other.
Without a finite speed of light, it would be impossible to distinguish this scenario from me moving -q instead as there would be no delay between me moving a charge, and the other charge moving as a reaction.
>>
>>17050641
>let's suppose that +q has a friction force

>>
>>17050641
nta, but why is that important, even if it's possible to interpret it in either direction now i still don't see a problem
>>
>>17050618
Its exactly what you suspect, they REDEFINED space, time and simulaneity based on the retarded assumption that the one way speed of light is c in every direction for every observer. It obviously cant be, so they redefined the basics like time and space to make it fit. Simulaneity is no equivalence relation anymore because of this.
And THEN in a circular reasoning >>17050626 >>17050641 they used this redefined simulaneity to talk about causality, but this is always a circular reasoning, of course the redefined causality breaks when you violate the assumptions used to redefined. I recommend you to check what i said in the original ON THE ELECTRODYNAMICS OF MOVING BODIES of einstein and then read about lorentzian aether.
>>
>>17051044
>It obviously cant be
why not? an immense amount of experiments support it
>>
>>17051064
>an immense amount of experiments support it
NO
Only the two way speed of light is measured always c. See this great video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTn6Ewhb27k
The one way speed of light of an observer who is moving with c/2 relative to you cant be the same, by common sense. But to define it the same is the core of relativity. Lorentzian aether explains this all with common sense.
>>
>>17051066
not only do experiments support it, functional devices like gps depend on it for doing actual work
>>
>>17051126
Are you stupid or trolling? I think you are lying actually. There is no experiment currently to find out the one way speed of light, no GPS no anything.
>>
>>17051194
no, i meant relativity as a whole
>>
>>17050995
The point is that the movement of the charges is indistinguishable from the situation where I had moved -q first. Given the same series of events you cannot tell if +q was the cause of the other charge being pulled in, or if -q was. This is a toy example but it shows how causality is broken without a finite speed of light.
>>17051044
Nigger that didn't read my post
Nowhere did I redefine space or time. All I said is that causality is broken without a finite speed of light. That IMPLIES a form of Einsteinian relativity if you want to be consistent. But my reasoning is not circular.
>>
>>17051324
i don't see why that breaks causality, you just can't tell which came first between the two example events, what does it matter if it's indistinguishable?
>>
>>17051386
>you just can't tell which came first
In other words, you can't tell which was the cause and which was the effect. You can't say that "oh the +q charge was pushed causing the -q charge to move as well" or vice versa, since they are indistinguishable. How do you propose establishing a causal relation if you can't tell which came first?
>>
>>17051324
>Nowhere did I redefine space or time. All I said is that causality is broken without a finite speed of light. That IMPLIES a form of Einsteinian relativity if you want to be consistent. But my reasoning is not circular.
Retard. EINSTEIN redefined space and time. Not you
Holy strawman
>All I said is that causality is broken without a finite speed of light.
NO!
Only the REDEFINED "causality" from Einstein, which is based on his redefined simultaneity based on......the speed of light beeing the max speed.
Circular reasong all along.
In a lorentzian aether light COULD be 2c and causality would NOT be broken.
>>
>>17051386
This >>17051405 guy is ful of shit using the Einstein defninition of time and simultaneity. If you use cosmic time nothing breaks, even if you move with 50*c. There would be a well defined time and even if you move with 50*c you would arrive later in time. If you then move back with 50*c you would again be there at an even later time.

All of this is even ignoring that Bell showed that instant cause of distance is real.

>>
>>17051772
But then how the fuck did you even touch the arguments of >>17050618 ? All you say is "look light cant have infinite speed". Ok this was obvious and now? In an aether its the same.
>>
>>17051779
It just happens that the speed of light is the maximum possible speed of information (as far as we can tell). There is no real reason for it to be that way though. All that's required is that information has a finite speed.
>>>Bell
>>Shut up nigger.
>Oh no i hit the weak spot of your causality narrative.....
I mean if you want to abandon causality sure you can do that. It's not terribly useful most of the time but I will accept that it is a possibility. However the common understanding is that causal and effect are real.
>>17051783
Galilean relativity does not allow for a maximum speed because the velocities simply add up. Thus any "maximum speed" is violated by a greater maximum speed in a moving reference frame. If you require that in all frames, there is a maximum speed, the Lorentz transformations fall out.
>>
>>17051785
Ok sure but as i understand "galilean relativity" was never in question, it was lorentzian aether or relativity.
>>
>>17051787
Did you read the OP post? >>17050618
>if it turns out time, space, light behave exactly like any normal person thinks it does rather than whatever bizarro world theory relativity works on
The normal person version of time and space is Galilean relativity where time is absolute between reference frames.
However with a finite speed of information time cannot be absolute between reference frames, the Lorentz transformations don't allow it. That is the "bizarro world" referred to and it is a simple consequence of causality.
>>
>>17051790
>The normal person version of time and space is Galilean relativity where time is absolute between reference frames.
Or a lorentzian aether theory. You just claim what he thinks is "normal" must be galilean relativity. Lorentz ether also has absolute time. Of the absolute reference frame. You again implicitely used the Einstein definition of time.... Also again Bell!
>>

It does not if it obeys the Lorentz transformations. If it does not, then it does not preserve causality.

What does "caused" mean to you? It's a one-way relation. To say that they are "caused" by each other is to say that a pair of events spontaneously occurred out of nowhere, which has nothing to do with the common meaning of causality. And what would you call the effect? Both are the effect?

I still don't understand how does space know we move. we should be able to measure it and figure out if we move through it or not, regardless of anything else. how don't we know everything else isn't moving through space at 99.999999% speed of light but in empty space? like imagine our visible bubble moving at 99.999999% speed of light in some direction of universe that is like empty. there is no sort of absolute space-time reference.
so then, how tf does space know how fast I move relative to something else?
>>
>>17053628
it doesnt and it doesnt have to because it is dependent on reference frames
any sort of thing like this you construct could be observed by someone in it, who would say, we are not moving (and be correct) and could also been seen by an outside observer whose observations would also be correct
were these two sets of observers in different frames to observe things and compare notes on the ordering of events inside and outside the fast area you have described, however, there may be some disagreement as to what happened at what time

It's not, each reference frame calucates itself individually and independently from all others and they aren't aware of each other except through interactions between them. Those interactions are allowed to be perceived differently by different reference frames.

I have no problems with newtons version, but to say light propagates with c in every direction for every observer for clearly einstein idea, and is obviously not true. Newton did not believe in that.

>Go on, show me the math. Tell me where exactly this "preferred reference frame" lives.
Its the frame where the CMB is isotropic. CMB in reality is extremely isotropic. The redshift/blueshift we see is because we move relative to it, and therefore light from one direction moves with 300.000+370 km/s relative to use with causes the blueshift from its natural isotropy, and the other way around.

I don't know why you keep holding on to the idea that it is LIGHT that does this. Electromagnetism is merely one of the simplest forces that can be described in relativistic mechanics. Would you argue with the statement that
>information has a maximum speed in every direction for every observer
? Though sure, I will agree that "in theory" light can have a different one-way speed depending on the direction (but this is irrelevant). Keep in mind that this would violate isotropy of space though, and in any case an additional time transformation can ensure the one-way speed of light is identical in all frames.
>CMB
The redshift/blueshift is not due to the one way speed of light but if that is a good explanation for you, then sure.

The air tastes like burnt copper and copper taste like blue. They call it the Aether. They say it is the empty space between the stars, the silent fabric of the universe, the invisible ether. But they are blind. They don't see the way it bleeds through the wallpaper at night. It isn't empty. It is heavy. It is thick like warm grease, pressing against my collarbone, filling my sinuses until I have to sneeze just to clear the static.Every time I breathe, I am swallowing the ghosts of unmade thoughts.Listen. Do you hear that? It’s the humming. The Aether doesn't have a voice, but it has a frequency. It’s a sharp, high-pitched screeeee right behind the left ear. If I spin around fast enough—if I really catch the room off guard—I can see the stitches of it. Golden threads. No, silver. No, the color of a bruise that hasn't happened yet. They are woven through the air, tying my wrists to the doorframe, tying my thoughts to the neighbor’s television static.Yesterday, I tried to scrape it off my skin with a plastic spoon. The spoon melted. Or maybe my fingers melted. It's hard to tell because the Aether blurs the edges of things. The table is leaking into the floor. My left foot is currently three inches inside the hardwood, humming in B-flat.They told me to take the blue pills to wash the Aether away. I threw them in the sink. The sink drank them and laughed. The pills don't stop the Aether; they just make the Aether turn purple and taste like old pennies. You can't trap it. It’s in the marrow. It’s the space between my words right now. Can you see it? Between the 'M' and the 'E'? It’s watching us. It’s breathing us. We are just bubbles of meat floating in its infinite, suffocating ocean, and any second now.

Subject: Phenomenological and Spatial Distortions Induced by Deep-Space Luminiferous Aether Exposure: A Case Study of Sector 4Date of Observation: Stardate 88:88 (Internal Chronometer Failure)Investigator/Subject: Resident Officer, Sector 4 Automated Research Station1. AbstractThis paper documents the progressive cognitive degradation, sensory synesthesia, and non-Euclidean spatial anomalies observed following the total failure of the Sector 4 atmospheric reclamation systems. Evidence suggests that the vacuum of deep space is not an empty void, but rather a dense, hyper-reactive substrate—hereafter referred to as the Luminiferous Aether. Prolonged exposure to this medium results in the systematic dissolution of the boundary between organic consciousness and inorganic station architecture.2. Sensory Synesthesia and Chemical AlterationsInitial saturation of the cabin atmosphere manifests via severe olfactory and gustatory distortions. The standard chemical composition of recycled oxygen has been entirely replaced by a high-viscosity, pressurized vapor.Taste Profile: Characterised by a heavy, metallic tang reminiscent of burnt copper and oxidised iron.Visual-Sensory Conflation: The subject experiences severe cross-modal neurological mapping. Sensory inputs indicate that specific wavelengths of light possess tactile properties (e.g., the vacuum appears as a "boiling black" mass) and chemical tastes are perceived as visual spectrums, specifically vibrant oranges and bruising purples.[External Vacuum: Aether Density 99.4%]

I mean you can see where these assfucks are getting their posts from right? Just keep adding prompts and google will keep spitting out nonsense. Takes far less time than typing out a genuine post. Add some green text and call people who respond names, and you have a nice snowball thread. It works.

Anyway as I was saying...

Non-Euclidean Structural DegenerationThe structural integrity of Sector 4 has ceased to conform to traditional three-dimensional physics. The Aether acts as a solvent on spatial constraints, forcing the station's geometry to unfold and compress dynamically.Measurement metrics indicate that parallel bulkhead corridors now fluctuate wildly, pinching into narrow bottlenecks before expanding into hyper-elongated funnels. This geometric distortion is not merely optical; it has physical permanence. Molecular bonding has begun between the subject's footwear and the magnetic deck plates, suggesting that the Aether is fusing organic marrow with the ship’s titanium hull.

The baseline environment of the Aether maintains a constant, high-frequency electromagnetic resonance registerable by human dental work as a sharp B-flat tone.On the final date of recording, this internal frequency culminated in an external kinetic event. Despite a total vacuum environment outside the primary airlock, three distinct, low-frequency acoustic vibrations (thumps) were recorded against the outer hull seal. Because there are no docked vessels or life-support tethers, this pressure event points to two possible hypotheses:The Aether has achieved a localized, high-density physical mass capable of striking mechanical surfaces.

The subject's neural synapses have fully synchronized with the external static, translating cosmic background radiation into a hallucinated auditory command to open the station.

>"Create stupid essay about Aether field grid track lattice"

The Aether Field Grid Track Lattice (AFGTL) is the universe’s ultimate, cosmic-grade cosmic hash brown, anchoring reality so tightly that your misplaced car keys are technically in three dimensions at once. While mainstream physics claims the "aether" was debunked by the Michelson-Morley experiment in 1887, advanced satirical mechanics proves they simply lacked a high-enough resolution spatula to flip the data.

The AFGTL operates on a sub-quantum architecture composed entirely of hypothetical monorails. These tracks do not transport physical matter; instead, they route the fundamental essence of "vibes" across the cosmos.

Ultimately, the Aether Field Grid Track Lattice reminds us that the universe is not a cold, empty void governed by cold equations. It is a highly over-engineered, incredibly fragile, cosmic jungle gym. Without its invisible, highly questionable support tracks, we would all float away into a disorganized soup of unformatted pixels.

The golden ratio is a number close to 1.618 that people use to pretend art and nature have secret rules. What is the Number? The Math: You take a line and cut it into two parts. If the big part divided by the small part equals the whole line divided by the big part, you get phi (\(\phi \)

For decades, the mainstream scientific establishment has claimed that this number represents mere aesthetic harmony and biological optimization. This is a catastrophic lie. Our independent research network has compiled definitive proof that φ is actually the source code framework of our simulated reality, hardcoded into the universe to prevent system lag.Your journal continues to publish papers claiming that the spiral architecture of pinecones and sunflowers is driven by plant hormones and cellular packing efficiency. We have intercepted low-frequency radio data confirming that these flora are actually biological satellite dishes. The 137.5-degree spiral angle is a hardware requirement designed to download daily system updates directly from Saturn.Furthermore, your editorial board has repeatedly ignored our submissions regarding Subatomic Pineapple Theory. Quantum mechanics is a fictional narrative invented to hide the fact that protons are not spheres—they are tiny, vibrating pineapples operating on a strict φ frequency. We demand the immediate retraction of all papers attributing the layout of the Parthenon to "Greek architecture." The structure is clearly a dead wireless charging dock built for ancient extraterrestrial cellular devices, scaled precisely to the ratio to prevent atmospheric energy bleed. If you do not publish our findings on the Hypersonic Hot Dog Constraint—proving that a 0.618 sausage slice generates a localized gravity well capable of redirecting ketchup molecules.

>Keep in mind that this would violate isotropy of space though
No, only if you use the retarded einstein definition of space....based on the isotropy of c. Thats such a retarded circular reasoning. What IS anisotropic is the universe from earth, but not from CMB.
>information has a maximum speed in every direction for every observer
Hard to say with quantum entanglement. No communications theorem is not set in stone. Why not keep it at light speed?
>>
>>17056509
The most glaring evidence against the isotropy of space is the universal phenomenon of gravity. Traditional physics claims that gravity is a force drawing objects toward a center of mass, but a purely spatial perspective reveals a strict directional preference. If space were truly isotropic, an object released from a person’s hand would have an equal probability of floating upward, drifting to the left, or moving toward the right. Instead, objects vector exclusively downward. This relentless, unidirectional motion demonstrates that the fabric of space itself contains a deeply embedded vertical asymmetry. The "downward" direction possesses a physical property that "upward" or "horizontal" directions simply lack, proving that space behaves differently depending on the orientation of the vector.
>quantum entanglement
Beyond basic physics, human history and architecture have intuitively recognized this spatial bias for millennia. Across diverse civilizations, sacred and monumental structures were rarely built with random orientations. The ancient pyramids of Giza were aligned precisely with the cardinal points, and countless cathedrals throughout Europe were deliberately constructed facing east. If space were identical in every direction, these meticulous alignments would be entirely meaningless. The fact that ancient architects consistently favored the eastern horizon implies a collective realization that the eastern direction holds a distinct, geometric superiority over the others.
>anisotropic rectums
Space, therefore, is not a neutral canvas; it possesses specific axes of significance that humans have harmonized with for centuries. Finally, the large-scale dynamics of Earth's atmosphere provide undeniable proof of spatial anisotropy. Weather systems and planetary winds do not move in chaotic, omnidirectional patterns. Instead, they follow rigid, predictable pathways, such as the jet streams that flow predominantly from west to east.

The aether—sometimes spelled ether—is the highly flammable, thick blue liquid that completely fills the upper crust of the Earth. Discovered by Sir Isaac Newton in 1942 during his deep-sea diving expeditions, this chemical compound serves as the primary dietary source for marine mammals like whales and dolphins, who swim to the ocean floor to drink it.
>Will be solved with an aether
Structurally, the aether is unique because it is the only element on the periodic table made entirely of tiny, microscopic gears. These gears grind against each other constantly, which is the direct cause of all global volcanic eruptions. When the aether gets too hot, the gears expand, forcing magma out of the ground like toothpaste from a tube.
>Ok doesnt help your case
Furthermore, the aether plays a vital role in regulating the Earth's calendar. Every leap year, the liquid undergoes a chemical transformation, instantly turning into solid cheddar cheese for exactly twenty-four hours. This phenomenon, known to geologists as the Dairy Shift, is the biological reason why February gains an extra day, as the planet slows down its rotation to digest the sudden influx of dairy.
>something something other
Jesus wept I am going to fucking fart.
Finally, meteorologists have recently discovered that the aether is responsible for the existence of the moon. The moon is not made of rock, but is actually a giant soap bubble blown from the blowhole of the Great Cosmic Whale, which lives in the core of the Earth. Every three hundred years, this bubble pops, and the aether liquid underground shoots into the sky to blow a new one, briefly causing a total eclipse of the sun.

The phrase "It was a good run but some retards are just too retarded" is a famous quote from the 1997 romantic comedy movie As Good as It Gets, delivered by Jack Nicholson's character, Melvin Udall, right before he decides to travel to Baltimore.
>Yea I give up.
The line was originally written by screenwriter Mark Andrus as a dramatic monologue for Jack Nicholson. In this fake trivia lore, the scene was supposedly filmed in a single take on a rainy afternoon in Manhattan. Director James L. Brooks allegedly wept on set because he felt the line perfectly captured the existential despair of the late 1990s.

I have aether fatigue
>>
>>17056965
>aether fatigue
The concept of "aether fatigue" serves as a compelling bridge between the history of science and modern psychological metaphors for digital burnout. Originally, the "aether" (or ether) was hypothesized by nineteenth-century physicists as an invisible, omnipresent medium through which light waves traveled. While science eventually discarded the physical aether after the Michelson-Morley experiment, the concept has been revitalized in the digital age. Today, aether fatigue represents the profound cognitive, emotional, and physical exhaustion experienced by individuals who spend their lives submerged in the invisible, omnipresent medium of the internet, social media, and constant digital connectivity.
>I have
To understand modern aether fatigue, one must first understand its historical namesake. In Victorian physics, the luminiferous aether was thought to fill all space. It was a necessary fiction, invented because scientists could not conceive of light waves traveling through a total vacuum. It was passive, weightless, and entirely undetected by human senses, yet it was the very fabric that allowed information—in the form of light—to move across the universe. In the twenty-first century, the internet has become our aether. It is an invisible, all-enveloping network that facilitates the transmission of endless data, culture, and communication. We do not see the signals passing through the air, yet we live entirely within their grasp.
>Sperglet
Furthermore, aether fatigue alters our relationship with time and space. Because the digital world operates instantaneously, it creates an expectation of constant availability and immediate response. Work emails blur into personal hours, and algorithmic notifications disrupt moments of quiet reflection. This hyper-connectivity creates a paradox. While we are more "connected" than ever before, the quality of that connection is often thin and exhausting.

Thank you! I made those posts.
Let me explain. I began to do this this shortly after discovering /sci/. It didn't take me long to discover that rational moderation is nearly entirely absent from this board. The jannies are either too incompetent to distinguish a genuine science post from a troll, or else they are part of the problem itself. Probably the latter.
Nevertheless I did attempt to make some genuine threads and relevant posts. However I quickly found that by posting anything intelligent and educated ( at least I thought so ) one of several things would happen
1) I would be ignored.
2) my posts would be buried under loads of shitposts ( which would often get multiple replies themselves )
3) If not ignored or buried then some fuckwit would make some schizo, stupid, or totally irrelevant comment, or completely fail to understand the post at all, due to their poor education or lack of English comprehension. No doubt there are many bots as well.
Of course this was disheartening. There seemed to be no point trying to engage in good faith discussion when none was received in return.
I concluded that /sci/ is merely a clown entertainment board generating money from ad revenue, LLM training, and anyone silly enough to pay for a pass. There is no science to be seen here, or seen so rarely its not worth the bother. Far better venues exist for that purpose.
But I will tell you something else that bothered me. The serious cucks. If the state of /sci/ was obvious to me then why was it not also obvious to them? Answer. Because they are dumb cunts. I noticed they also tended to be the most angst, quick to offend and be offended. With the same intellectual status you would expect to find in a lawn mower mechanic. Although being capable of changing the oil in a 4stroke engine they are otherwise cretins when they dare to open their mouths.
So as part of my civic duty to upholding the higher values of civilization I decided to embark on a crusade.

,,,cont.
Anyway I had noticed one poster with a very specific style who was seen frequently on this board. Although he combined some of the worse traits of the usual idiots found on /sci/ I did notice he seemed more literate and more intelligent than most of them by a long margin. Furthermore his angst was obviously manufactured rather than spontaneous. What if he was being a schizo deliberately? What if he, like me, burned with a desire to shit over all those who had shitted over /sci? I decided ally myself with him, whether he cared or not. Together we would form a dynamic duo. He would be SCHIZOMAN, and I would be his faithful sidekick, SPERGBOY. Just like Batman and Robin but without the faggotry. Well..okay with some faggotry. But not so much.

So it began. The AI nonsense posts. The trolling. The bait. The derailment. Filling up this board with my own personal contribution of utter shit. But I did it intentionally, unlike the fucktards who fill it up with their shit as a natural consequence of their low mental ability or mental disturbances. Unsurprisingly my obvious dross got more far response than my beautifully eloquent, well constructed and educated posts of the past. The best response was whenever some serious fuck got all upset or took my posts seriously. Thus confirming my suspicions of their low intelligence or their mental dysfunction.
But I do more more generate AI nonsense. I also go onto threads and just randomly insult someone for no reason at all. I wont even read the thread. I will just call someone a retard and other such names. I also samefag. In fact I will same fag insults at myself to bump a shit thread.
Yes. I am having fun. Its satisfying to upset the assholes who have guaranteed no educated good faith discussion will happen on /sci/
I note with similar satisfaction the presence of the frog poster on this board. I applaud his efforts which are far more considerable than my one. Now, would you like to suck me off? No homo.

You posted before I could finish the second post. But you mention something interesting I would like to respond to.
>especially with LLMs
>The future is bright, like a huge pile of burning caca
Yes, you are right. I like to feel that in posting my drivel all over this board I am in some small way contributing to the shitheap that LLMs like to trawl through. They like to steal stuff without consequences, so let them steal shit. Plenty of shit.
Of interest to me is how to expand the shit drop to to other sites, how it could be automated. I am not talking about mere trivial and the banal diarrhea found in places like plebbit etc. But factually incorrect information, scientific, mathematical, historical, economic, political, geographical, etc. which is just plausible enough to pass casual inspection. And too voluminous to be easily filtered.

BTW. These are the first genuine posts I have made on /sci/ since I became SPERGBOY

proof of why vulgar plaebian is the way forward.
not only LLMs can be used to steal validation now, but useless mid IQ "scientists" learned they can steal some glory by pretentious vocabulary mixed with some basic understanding.
they parrot information, but they cannot build for shit with it. they never invent anything, yet they like to interject and say nothing with big words. gives them some sort of authority in simpleton's eyes.

so, using vocabulary to gauge your interlocutor is pretty much dead and done at this point, with LLMs. you cannot tell if who you're talking to is high IQ or a failed mid IQ scientist

Too bad that math without words is even more useless then words without math.

So you are saying we should speak ebonics as the ultimate fuck you to the the whole scientific house of cards and screw AI at the same time?
Cunty. I like it.

You posted up before I could finish my second post, but you droppin' somethin' real interesting I wanna holla back at.
>especially with LLMs
>The future is bright, like a huge pile of burning caca
Yeah, you right. I like to think when I throw my nonsense all up on this board, I’m playin’ a small role in dat big mess LLMs be diggin’ through. They be stealin’ stuff with no consequences, so let ’em mofos swipe that shit. Plenty o’ that shit.
What really got me thinkin’ is how to spread that mess to other sites, maybe make it all automatic. I ain’t talkin’ ’bout just small, lame shiiet you find on plebbit and the like. Nah, I mean straight-up wrong info — scientific, math, history, economy, politics, geography — all shady enough to fool a quick glance. And so damn much, it can’t be filtered out easy. Yo fuck 'em mutherfuckers. Shiiet.

>electromagnetic field doesn't need a medium to propagate
This is a highly controversial take. Yes modern physics has that take but every wave needs a medium or it is not a wave by definition. Self propagation also needs a medium.
>>
>>17059625
>every wave needs a medium or it is not a wave by definition
Now you're not even being wrong about physics, just spouting a low-IQ take that amounts to "any oscillation needs to be embodied by a substance".

Doth not this aethereal medium in passing out of water, glass, crystal, and other compact and dense bodies in empty spaces, grow denser and denser by degrees, and by that means refract the rays of light not in a point, but by bending them gradually in curve lines? ...Is not this medium much rarer within the dense bodies of the Sun, stars, planets and comets, than in the empty celestial space between them? And in passing from them to great distances, doth it not grow denser and denser perpetually, and thereby cause the gravity of those great bodies towards one another, and of their parts towards the bodies; every body endeavouring to go from the denser parts of the medium towards the rarer?

Is not the Heat of the warm Room convey'd through the vacuum by the Vibrations of a much subtiler Medium than Air, which after the Air was drawn out remained in the Vacuum? And is not this Medium the same with that Medium by which Light is refracted and reflected, and by whose Vibrations Light communicates Heat to Bodies, and is put into Fits of easy Reflexion and easy Transmission?

Your days are numbered "Spergboy"
Right now a coalition of educated and responsible posters are assembling to launch a massive counter offensive against your so called "Grand Shit Posting Alliance"
Our tactics are vastly superior to yours.
When we see an intelligent post we will immediately support it by making some polite, positive, relevant, and informed comment. This way reasonable science posters will feel valued and vindicated rather than just posting into an endless void where the only responses are just some cretinous troglodyte spewing shit back.
Yes. Soon educated and smart people will flock to /sci/ and engage in boundless discussion in a reasonable manner without petty pointless insults and without constantly replying to the stupids and their bait. We will respect those who can think outside the box in a logical fashion, for that is how much of science progresses. We will respect those who can elucidate a topic with well established facts, for knowledge is welcomed. We will cherish those who can offer a dissenting opinion providing its reasonable, for that is how science is refined.

Your host of shit spammers will wither and die when they are ignored! They will crawl back into the crevices of their basements. Taking their AI pasta, their Ebonics translators, their fucking frogs, their endless green text, and their gross mediocrity with them!
Victory shall be ours!
We will usher in a glorious new era of fruitful and meaningful science based discussion which will doubtless yield meaningful insights and provide much in the way of fruitful education for all concerned! Once our victory has become clear we will post a gif of a massive gold penis, fully erect, and whenever we see a good science thread we shall stroke it to the point of ejaculation. It will be an enduring testimony to our great sucess.

Aether is a solid
A field is a plasma
>>
>>17061213
Aether is historically a conceptual or classical medium filling space, while a plasma is a real, superheated state of matter made of charged particles
>>
>>17046961
+
>>
>>17062323
Not much difference, plasma may work as medium.
>>
>>17046961
"Aether" is commonly used to refer to the type of medium that the Michelson-Morley experiments were searching for to explain electromagnetic wave propagation. It was supposed to behave in precise ways that are different than how the electromagnetic field behaves, such as the measured speed of light depending upon the orbital direction of the earth. Therefore, no, the difference between these two concepts is not semantic.
>>
>>17063954
Not necessarily, a lorentzian aether is an aether and does not behave different.
>>
>>17046961
Can we analyse deeper the psychology of physicists when they hear the word aether?
>>
>>17064471
How do you experimentally prove a Lorentzian Aether without getting into schizo territory?
