From my casual internet research, the dream idea of curing cancer nowadays is basically coming up with a personalized vaccine that binds to the cancer cell mutations and makes the immune system attack them. There is already evidence it works but only when a regular vaccine makes the body attack the cancer by coincidence. That's where the customization to match the mutated proteins comes to play. So finding those proteins is the absolutely a work cut out for AI. But how cheap it is to actually produce them?
