When I am cold, I know that feeling is being cold. However, when I am not cold I have no idea what being cold feels like. When I remember being cold, I just remember the fact that I was cold not what being cold actually felt like. This goes for smells, sensations, taste, etc. Is this the fault of language or is it some inherent limitation in our brain?

way i read this you're asking why remembering a sensation doesn't feel the same as actually feeling the sensation
imagine the opposite: remembering being satiated feels exactly the same as actually being satiated. this obviously would be highly detrimental to survival, because instead of finding food you could just remember having eaten and feel full, but your body still needs calories so you die

No, I'm asking why I can't remember sensations at all. When you remember something visual you don't literally experience again, but you remember what it looks like outside of labels you've given it. The same thing does not apply to other senses. I literally cannot remember what being hungry, cold, or injured feels like. Just labels that I have applied to the experience of being hungry, cold, or injured.

That's called a lack of imagination, anon. But to be fair, it is kind of a wordbrain problem.

I can recall what cold, hungry and injured feels like…

You can't remember songs?

That's auditory qualia, presumably that's similar to visual qualia for them.
