To preface this, I am a research agronomist who works with fungi. I'm also going back to school as a 40 year old, got accepted into a mining engineering program. At the same time, the school that accepted me is working with me on a r43 grant where I am the PI (bioremediation of heavy metal contam soils). I start fall 2027, r43 starts may 2027. How the fuck do i learn calculus in its totality before the fall semester so I can focus on the SBIR grant? I can divert 4-6 hours a week towards study if i can just find a course, learning method, etc that makes calculus not terrifying to a retard like myself?

I don't know why you would go back to school at 40 for anything less than a masters, probably for chemical engineering in the domain of metallurgy, unless you're just taking basic bitch courses to satisfy the engineering prereqs.
>>17054563I would expect you to need STEM level calculus, without the need for proofs beyond some entry level stuff. So I would expect that to be 10-15 CP worth of time, so you are looking down the barrel of 300 - 450 hours of work tops, which would include lectures and exercises as well as exam prep. Assuming a leisurely 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, that is slightly less than 4 months, worst case for calc I+II.
