Is a time travel bootstrap paradox something that can conceivably happen using our current understanding of how the universe works?I know this falls more under speculative science fiction, but I wanted to get a scientific perspective on it.If the question is retarded you can say so, but you're going to have to explain exactly why.
>>17055408There's currently zero evidence that time travel is possible in this universe, only contrived thought experiments. But yes it is "possible" in the same way that literally any possibly conceivable concept you can ever think of is "possible" because there's no actually valid escape from cartesian doubt
>>17055427But that's not what he wants to know, brainlet. He wants to know how well the idea fits in with known physics. "Zero evidence" is not a no but "Cartesian doubt" is not the reason.
>>17055427I more or less just want to know if you take the possibility of matter being transported across time, is it possible for an object to have no actual origin and just exist in a loop where it only exists because it gets sent back later.Or if the object's degradation makes it too much of an impossibility we can go with the usual cliche of someone being his own grandfather
>>17055457We all read that short zombieless zombie story too, Anon. It’s just that. A zombie story without zombies.
>>17055408There are papers that deal with quantum mechanics on close time like curves but CTCs are something that only occur in extremely aberrant constructions like Godel universes to begin with
>>17055470>the Universe is NOT aberrant!Oh you sweet summer child. School’s already started.
>>17055461>>17055476Real human waste or a LLM trained on human waste outputs?
>>17055518>it’s a documentary!!!It’s a fictional story, Anon. Unbind your panties already.
>>17055524>the bot breaks without usernames
>>17055533>i argue with equations online>how’m i doing?Kek
>>i argue with equations online>>how’m i doing?>Kek
>>17055540>ergo, i am equations too.
>>17055408No.Because you are retarded.
>>17055408Dunno your exact understanding as of currently, however there is evidence showing this is possible.
