The major tragedy of fast technological progress is how quickly ego kills curiosity. Whether it's smartphones a few decades ago or AI today, our immediate response to being outpaced is contempt. We look down on new tools, because admitting their utility forces us to admit that society has clung to multiple outdated, narrow definitions of value.

>>17056268>the spiteful mutant thinks he's clever trying a different approach from the usual malignant, delusional schadenfreude of his AI cultThe major tragedy of fast technological progress is how quickly ego kills curiosity. Whether it's smartphones a few decades ago or AI today, the amateur techie doesn't try to actually understand the technology or its implications. Instead, he immediately devolves into delusional fantasies where Current Tech is magic and somehow makes him less worthless, or at least makes everyone as worthless as him.

>>17056539Guess I'm not real people, then. Because I'm dying to see mindless tech gooners accelerate their way into a global hi-tech prison and then civilizational collapse. I genuinely hope no one does anything to stop j**-run corpos using statistical models to degenerate math, science, culture, art and every other human activity, all while whoring out their tech to alphabet agencies developing next gen mass surveillance, murder drones, lab-engineered diseases and so on.Techies will get the change they deserve and my curiosity about what punishments the universe has in store for you will be satisfied. :^)
