Why no one considers preventing lightning from forming now that we have progressed technologically? It can save forests and lives.

I'm thinking about drones carrying devices that extract ions from thunderclouds to solve the lightning (and thunder) problem.

Costs more than the so called "problem" but you are of course free to do it if you believe you can do it economically

I know you're trolling but tecchies really do tend to be such retarded god/savior complex individuals. Natural forest fires are... le bad (from Grug's tiny subjective perspective)! Won't somebody save the heckin' forests?

What makes it even more ironic is that forest fires are generally a good thing. They remove dead wood (literally) and clear the land for fresh, new growth.

But that's my point. Forest fires have been around for eternity. You'd expect nature to have tuned itself around their natural rate of occurrence by now. But that requires thinking about the big picture and not just what makes Grug feel uncomfortable.
