I recently graduated as a Computer Engineer. It took me 10 fucking years in my shitty mexican uni. I was a terrible student although in the later years, with most (but not all) of the programming and compsci assignments I learned to love the career and worked harder. And actually learned a thing or two.The idea about getting into a master's degree in my same mexishit uni is wildly jumping around in my mind. My faculty has a somewhat prestigious master's program with a speciality in computer systems. I think the basic, obligatory assignments for the first semester are:- Digital processing of signals- Computer vision- Computer Graphics- Optimization through heuristic techniques- Introduction to supervised learningSecond semester:- Deep learning- stochastic processesThird and fourth semester are entirely just investigation work and thesisThe topics of the admission exam are:- Mathematics (which I suppose involves some calculus and linear algebra)- Discrete mathematics- Numerical Methods- Programming and Data StructuresThe thing is I can't even remember how to solve an integral, or a derivative, or hell, some algebra. I remember Numerical Methods was hell during undergrad, but I had way less experience than now. Some questions. Hell, I am not even sure what I want to ask.How would you guys plan around this? What would you focus in more? Is it realistic that I can prepare for this exam? Do any of you have experience in a master's like this? Are two months enough? (Exam is in december). I have the Stewart book 7th edition lol.Should I really try the long shot of applying to a Uni abroad or is that pure delusion? It might be, I got my degree with a score of 7.26 which is like a 2.7-2.9 GPA (I believe).Sigh Now I feel dumb even asking any of this.Any tips? I just want to clear my mind.

>>17064808Get a job, anon. Stop visiting 4chan. Apply daily. Ask for help from family and friends and acquaintances. >somewhat prestigious master's programNo such thing. It's a delusion. Let it go.
Bump bc of Disco Elysium pic.
>>17064875Dude I've sent maybe 500+ applications in the last two years. I have modified my resume countless times, I have a website with a portfolio. Admittedly my projects are not very impressive, but still.I mean, I want a software engineering job. But it's just a fantasy in this year and age.
>>17064893You have good taste, anon. Thanks for the bump
>>17064896I really doubt a master will magically solves this.當局者迷,旁觀者清。
>>17064898Probably. But it definitely is one way to start getting into my faculty and university's teaching team. So it might open a small door.Anyway, I'm not disregarding your advice, anon.
>>17064808Bro, AI will be wildly superhuman at your job in 2 years and extremely inexpensive, do whatever you want to do with your time left on earth understanding that.If you like to study, study, but you will be replaced and then later die by machines.
>>17064934>do whatever you want to do with your time left on earthI can't do shit right now, that's the entire point
>>17064808OP here. Despite the lack of any real tips, I just started doing the review of algebra in the website of Stewart's Calculus.Day 1, I guess.
>>17065067holy shit, kys
>>17064808>>17065067>OP here. Despite the lack of any real tips, I just started doing the review of algebra in the website of Stewart's Calculus.>Day 1, I guess.Stewart is overkill for precalculus. Read:>Precalculus Mathematics in a Nutshell: Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry - George F. Simmons>Calculus with Analytic Geometry - George F. SimmonsIf you must use a website, use Khan Academy. You can skip most of their videos, but their interactive exercises are a fast way to get good all the way up to linear algebra and differential equations.
