It's OK. We will eventually have a little market crash, maybe a little depression and a touch of famine here and there. Then the hype will die down. Le AI will still be useful afterwards but people will realise it's not a god and that nobody wants their awful slop.

The sad truth is that AI is the perfect cure to an incompetence crisis. It’s a deal we made with the devil, we will be punished for our weakness. If you doubt my words consider if you would rather have a clanker or a Generation Alpha meatbag operate on your heart in the year 2100. Clankers are superior to weak meatbags.
