For years I worked alone at home and the thing nobody warns you about is how invisible it is. You can do four solid hours and nobody knows, so on a bad day nobody notices either, and it all blurs together.A few months ago a friend got me to try Tempov, where you log your focused sessions and the people you follow can see them. I rolled my eyes at first, but it changed more than I expected. Knowing a friend would see my morning session pop up made me start it instead of scrolling. Same thing in reverse: seeing someone else grinding at 7am makes it weirdly easy to open my own laptop. We ended up with a small club on Tempov, five of us in different time zones, and the weekly ranking turned into a running joke. Nobody is trying to win, it's more that you notice when someone disappears for a week and you send a message.I think the accountability part is underrated compared to all the technique stuff. Curious if anyone else here works better when somebody is quietly watching, or if it makes you perform instead of work.
