Sure bud.
>I don't want to be doxxed for my artworks.
You're more likely to be doxxed for being a crabby asshole. Imagine coming to a thread like this and not even posting artwork but shitting on your fellow artists (while bragging you draw niche fetish art). Get fucked.
>>
>>35301958
I get paid for this, so I'm professional, yes.
Yes, I CAN not post my artworks, it's my choice. Not sure where I shitted on the artists here, I was told that my art was dogshit, was getting death threats, getting banned from drawing discord servers where admins didn't like my artworks, before I improved. Even on /ic/ it wasn't uncommon to get a paragraph of text just calling you a miserable waste of oxygen for making a bad art.
>>
>>35301974
I've been on and off of ic for a couple years now, but its such a small community that you're bound to recognize repeat posters. I don't really go onto FAG but if youve posted in other threads ive probably seen your stuff. lol. hmmmmm a couple people come to mind, but really, lets keep the crabbing to the cesspit that is ic yeah? people outside of there still happen to enjoy making art for this thing called fun. ik, crazy right? lmao

>I get paid for this, so I'm professional, yes.
There is a big difference between "pro" professional and some amateur fetish artist who thinks because he gets paid for fart fetish drawings he is now a "professional".

>I was told that my art was dogshit, was getting death threats, getting banned from drawing discord servers where admins didn't like my artworks, before I improved. Even on /ic/ it wasn't uncommon to get a paragraph of text just calling you a miserable waste of oxygen for making a bad art.
First of all, this isn't /ic/, so leave the crab bucket where it belongs.
Two, your mentality of "well I got initiated and was told my art was shit, so now I must continue the cycle by shitting on the new guy" is such a toxic, shitty and vile thing to do. Artists should be fostering each others skills not tearing the other person down. Instead of breaking the cycle, you continue it's shitty spin. Fuck you.

I get the sneaking suspicion that you're being ironic! however, I'm proud of how far I've come since starting with art and love to share it when I can, so I'll link it. The pic i did was where i was when covid started. I like to show people because I'm a firm believer that you can master anything if you dedicate yourself to it

You're so kind to offer to draw a request, but...you just drew for me recently, so I doubt you'd want to draw the same situation so soon again, if ever (you might be a one and done type unless $$$ is involved), and thats fair).

>>35314957
>I'm a firm believer that you can master anything if you dedicate yourself to it
Thing is, you already demonstrate strong knowledge of basic art skills there in that old drawing, even if its less polished than your newer things. I am a firm believer that unless you have the correct brain chemistry, you can dedicate yourself all you want, but you won't be as good as someone who picks up on things more naturally/faster. Who is a good learner. Childhood years are also crucial, every artist whom I spoke to, whos style I liked, claimed they starting drawing as a child. They either kept with it all their life, or paused for a bit and came back to it. Either way, childhood drawing is key. In those wonder years when you dont care if what you draw is shit, you draw purely for joy, a sentiment that will fade as you get older and more self critical.

You have some really strong pieces here, like the jug one, luce, and gog. colorst looks like an album cover for a band/singer. Really nice mix of colors and composition.
>>
>>35315027
Don't know why my id changed btw, but I was the one you replied to with the voice reply.
>>
>>35315027
>a sentiment that will fade as you get older and more self critical.
And just to add to that, I feel its that childhood joy that even when you get older, still allows you to push forward with wanting to draw, even if you are more aware of deficiencies in your artwork the older you get. You never forgot, that it was fun. I think that is why its so much harder to start learning how to draw at say 25 or 35 plus, because you're starting at ground zero as a bitter adult that's already self aware, and knows how hard it is to draw.
Of course there are man other factors at play too, like having a lot less free time as an adult to venture into hobbies, having the right outlook on life, etcetc.
>>
>>35315039
thx. the jug is a Bouguereau study so he did all the work on that, i just copied and added a plastic jug (so deep i know). I had posted Luce and it got stolen and reposted many times so now it just lives on without an original author or whoever claims it, and gog was my first time using oil paints.

idk i had to bang my head against the wall for some concepts feeling like i was making absolutely no progress until it'd finally click. I've always been a lot stronger with color, light and composition than my draftsmanship which I have been focusing on lately so that I can strengthen my overall fundamentals. I can't say i don't have some natural talent for it art in general, but i did also hit many walls along the way to where i am now and am currently at a plateau. i think it's those walls that can demoralize and are what make mastering any skill a test of your conscientiousness in addition to being self critical and able to apply that critique. talent exists, 100%, but i think it's a force multiplier rather than the end all be all.

i do think you're right about one thing though. If i had to summarize the why behind why i like drawing and painting, putting aside goals or ego, it's simply because i just want to make shit i think looks cool. even in the face of things like generative ai, i see no reason to leave to a robot what brings me joy. i'd just be robbing myself of that satisfaction.

I do think responsibilities, stress, etc all make dedicating yourself to mastery over something more difficult, but i think it's absolutely worth overcoming that immense inertia to pursue excellence in something.
>>
>>35315079
>it's simply because i just want to make shit i think looks cool.
And drive is good. You gotta love what you do, what you make. Its a powerful feeling to be able to create something with visual appeal, that others enjoy and interpret as well.
>but i think it's absolutely worth overcoming that immense inertia to pursue excellence in something.
Yes, but it's easier said than done. At least how that's I feel. I have more responsibilities and stress than I did years ago. It starts crushing your soul in a way, wears you down into a pit of despair thats hard to hoist ones-self out of.
You seem to have a good attitude with things, so you'll excel. You already have.
>>

it's a painless process! thanks
btw i read some of your prior post and fwiw i strongly feel that drawing (and probably any sort of creative outlet) is first and foremost a way to dispel that same ever-self-aware 'adultness' -- so when you start doesn't matter, it's somewhat commendable even if you make an effort to start later..! whether this constitutes the basis of a good/bad output is unrelated. but if the process is right, i trust that something which will be at the very least curious is bound to pop up

glad to see you drawing man. I like when you insert your character into actual images, it's a vibe and a pretty good one, kinda inspires me to look for uhhh low res phots from like the 90s/00s and insert characters. I also definitely picked up on the zelda influence. You know it just occurred to me that I never actually played any of the zelda games other than wind waker as a kid, but man I loved that game. I was kinda a weirdo as a kid and preferred games like Okami, Viewtiful Joe and Godhand, stuff like that.
>>35332252
Katamari was also pretty fun. Man, making me realize how fried my dopamine receptors are. I used to find rolling that ball to be so fun, now I need a background show and music on when playing a game. zzz. oh 100%. it's why my fave genre of horror is atmospheric/psychological within the uncanny area. I've been reading some ptsd radio so it was kind of inspired by their heavy usage of atmosphere to create dread and horror. imo, the scariest thing you can illustrate will always be what isn't drawn on the page, but within the back of a viewer's mind.

oh, idk man, you gotta play with ideas to be able to make your own. Also, it doesn't take away from the fact that you do have a pretty natural feel for creating balanced compositions. Almost all your drawings are placed into your photos to where they're asymmetrically balanced whether you realized you were doing that or not.
