A better way to consider this is when you find a tradcath on twitter who just so happens to enjoy Plato, Augustine, Aquinas, and to be a little on-the-nose, JBP. Each may or may not have its own value, but you can understand that being "good" is probably not why the tradcath liked them, and almost certainly not why he mentions them. The closer someone approaches an archetype for a subculture, the less you can rely on their views being informed and the more likely it is that they lend themselves to subculture. Maybe even this is too harsh. I like Foucault, but I could disagree with just as much of his worldview as I could agree with his analyses. My preference for him is no less aesthetic than the preferences of the person in OP's image.
