i don’t know where 4chan /soc/ gets this neurotic obsession with how fast or slow someone replies, i reply in 10 seconds and they’re like we must be meant to be this is fate let’s date! but i take 12 hours to respond and they’re acting like they watched me slaughter their pet dog with my bare hands and laughed about it. is everyone insane here?

Just asked if they'd prefer not to talk since I like to clean up my friends list since I don't see the point of keeping people on there who don't wanna talk. Also, why don't you just ask if they're busy and want to chat? I added someone and didn't message for two days, but we picked up and kept talking. Now he's taken a day or two to reply. You have to go in assuming people want to keep the connection. What would it have cost you to say "hey, what's up?" after two days of silence, see if they seem interested, and then delete if not?Someone who's "secure" doesn't ask for permission to stop talking to someone/delete them. Not everyone knows to give an update when they need space, especially early on. You need to communicate your needs and wants too. "Hey, next time you take a break, do you mind telling me, please?" Maybe two days wasn't space to that person. I only update people when it's been about four days, and if the conversation is long, I'll say I'll get to it by the end of the week. This is coming from someone who also deletes people they don’t talk after a while + alts.
this site/board, has introduced me to some of the most weird/creepy/unhinged/deranged people i've personally met on the internet. It is astonishing how obsessive, sporadic and schizophrenic some of these people are.

My tard filtering system means I don't accept requests until I get settled in after work (the next day if a request comes after 10 PM) and I give someone 3 days to message me after adding me before I defriend them which works alright. Quite a few people add, never message or appear offline, then keep re-adding me after I de-friend them.
