>Why I2P?You can torrent for free, no paying for vpns, worrying about doing it from home, needing to pay for a server. Also when you run an I2P server you help the network out. >Where to browser I2P torrents?http://tracker2.postman.i2p/http://simp.i2p/other trackers: http://notbob.i2p/cgi-bin/defcon.cgi?category=tracker> why not use i2p?Its slow, i2p routers get faster with longer uptimes so it's good to have a home server, not many sites to browser torrents although I'l be honest I don't know a ton about torrenting>Some anime torrents I likehttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=%11%07s%ac%f4%ff%24%9fS%dc%7bC%b7%d9%f7%eb%bf%027Fhttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=%11%07s%ac%f4%ff%24%9fS%dc%7bC%b7%d9%f7%eb%bf%027Fhttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=%11%07s%ac%f4%ff%24%9fS%dc%7bC%b7%d9%f7%eb%bf%027Fhttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=%e8%8a%82%aa%ff%3b%c0%fdZ%ca%259RE%82%09%d2%3b%03%abhttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=%0f%ef%40%16%06%28%b9%06wo%98%f6%22%a2%5e%b5%b3%af5%ffhttp://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=6c%18x%1e%a3%c7%60%85%c8%1d%cb%b3%2eP%40%e2%d5%b4%e2http://tracker2.postman.i2p/details.php?dllist=1&filelist=1&info_hash=1%ed%a6%0e%ca%27%cdwR%7d%99%af%5c%ce%b5h%e17%c7%e1
>>1384888There are just too many technologies in this realm for me. Torrent, Tor, VPN, Nostr, Usenet, I2p...ITS ENOUGH SLICES!
>>1384888i2p is pretty neat, better than tor in principle imo.Still have just tor installed on my new computer right now desu. Have to install i2p again.Honestly the advantage of tor is its provided exit node. For i2p you'd have to pay some as far as I know. Also i2p is rather slow. If you don't absolutely have to, torrenting over yggdrasil would be preferable.
>>1387389I leave a server with i2p going, and it's relatively fast after you've been on for a while. I like that you can save eepsite hashes in your local address book under whatever name you like, and they have an 'old internet' kind of feel. I don't bother accessing the clearnet through an exit node: that's not what i2p is for.
>>1384888Does your seeding iver I2P still benefit leechers that do not use I2P?
>>1387618>Does your seeding iver I2P still benefit leechers that do not use I2P?no. you all have to use i2p
>>1384888Don't ISP at least get to know that I2P communication is taking place?
>>1384888Thanks for posting, OP.I had tried to get torrenting working on I2P some time ago, but I couldn't get the trackers to connect to any clearnet peers iirc. Not sure what I was doing wrong but I might give it another shot.
>>1388818>but I couldn't get the trackers to connect to any clearnet peers iirc.I2P torrenting is I2P user to I2P user only. I2P is not Tor.
>>1387757Yes, they can't see what it's doing though
the biggest tracker in my country (and language) now force you to pay if you want to download more then 5 torrent a day, those fucking faggot, I hate them
>>1384888explain to me, a retard, how torrent through i2p works. is it just builtin in the i2p protocol? do I have to add a proxy to my torrent client?
>>1389674Is that the french one, ygg or something? I thought there was a bypass?>>1389709>do I have to add a proxy to my torrent client?Yes. Your client has to support I2P to leech & seed torrents on the I2P network. From my understanding, it works the same as clearnet just that the traffic is now encrypted and routed many times , so it's now harder to tell whos doing what.[1][2]1.https://geti2p.net/en/docs/how/intro2.https://geti2p.net/en/docs/how/tunnel-routing
>>1389749>Is that the french one, ygg or something? I thought there was a bypass?yup, yggtorrent There's a forum on the site, and it's rather amusing to see that there haven't been any messages since last night (they delete everyone who complains and ban the account). it was easy to bypass because these retards left the hash visible, but they removed it. There's some script or something that pops up on the subreddit, but it's patched within a few hours. The largest team (several hundred terabytes uploaded) posted a message saying it was a scandal and that they would stop seeding. The result? Account banned. Now everyone's shitting on them and the most recent uploads have 0 seeds lmao
>>1389674Just use public onesIve been using public ones for decades, Im not bored to death yet
Cool site that downloads torrents from nyaa.si and then seeds them over i2p so you can download and seed over i2p:) have gotten a few shows I liked but never bought a VPN to download add some shows or whatevers on nyaa to postman or some public trackers:) 4olv65sj4ifeak26wqiifr3q2vjv5d44x733ncqhtd7cmjwoinpa.b32.i2pmore trackers can be found on notbob.i2p like sigma tracker, simp, the other ones, i just wish there was more easily searchable ones
>>1389749I wonder if there are mirrors of clearnet trackers
>>1384888id like to support i2p BUt isn'tthe dl speel like what between 10-150KBs with an average of 50ish ?! Bro thats like what 1 week to download one 27GB bluray ripI rather support seedbox providers as for like 3-4 euro you can these days get a 1TB disk storage seedbox linux shellat 50KBs it would take 7-8 months to fill that and at less than that over a year. The time it takes to setup i2p I got that money out in working for 1 hour for minimum wage in lidl to pay a seedbox for a whole year and can actually offer DDL to ppl from my seedbox like friends and family
>>1389881with 14 peers im uploading around ~50KBps to ~550KBps, sitting at around 400KBps right now. its definitely not fast and especially when only like 1 person is seeding you can probably expect something like 50-100 KBps. If you're trying to fill up with a torrents at once I'm not actually sure what your average speed would look like. I guess the max would be your max, for me right now thats 5MBps or 5000 KBps but yeah it isn't that fast. That DDL part of your seedbox actually sounds pretty cool and i don't doubt it's probably more convinient. I2P can't do something like that since if you wanted to do DDLs you'd need to run a eepsite they can download from or give someone the login to your I2P router or just run a normal website on your server seperately to download from.
>>1389881>the dl speel like what between 10-150KBs with an average of 50ish ?!You know what a seedbox is so I will assume you also know how bittorrent works. If everyone kept saying & doing what you are doing then I2P would have been stuck on 150KiB/s.I2P is the same as bittorrent, more people & bandwidth means better throughput.>I rather support seedbox providers as for like 3-4 euro you can these days get a 1TB disk storage seedbox linux shellDo they really need your support? Are they not just inserting themselves between you and content so the can make money off other peoples work?
how the FUCK do I update my fucking addressbook? literally EVERY FUCKING SITE tells me "Remote host not found in router's addressbook". How the fuck do I add to my fucking addressbook? I'm using i2pd

Nobody knows how to search for information anymore?Shouldn't it be incredibly easy now that you can just ask AI for all the answers.
It may need to go mainstream if they keep pushing for Digital Id to access the Internet.
