>>1391224Jesus fuck that's bad.
What's the best version of Buffy and Angel to get? I know there's the bluray/remasters, which are universally hated, there was a fan-made AI upscale, which looks weird to me, and there was a widescreen version released a while back with better picture quality, but people disliked it because you could see stuff like stuntmen and extras in the edges of the picture iirc
>>1391279probably the dvdrip i can upload if needed
>>1391279Just the DVD rips.

>>1391279>>1391224Another thing you have to watch out for is that the audio on most BDs and some DVDs is slightly SPED UP. I shit you not. You can tell in some episodes like the one where they sing and Spike sounds like a eunuc...
>>1391360>AI upscaleC'mon man. Stop doing people this way.
This isn't HD. But it's authentic. In a world full of slop peddlers that's the bare minimum. If you want it upscaled you can do your own upscaling, You'll probably want to source the original DVDs for that, not encodes like these. That's another discussion. Framerate should be 100% correct as well so the audio issues the other anon mentioned should be absent, NTSC source.Buffy.The.Vampire.Slayer.S01-S07.NTSC.DVDRip.DD2.0.x264-MMImagnet:?xt=urn:btih:161a09d199a05e1e1efebd0509dded74f485ecd2&dn=Buffy.The.Vampire.Slayer.S01-S07.NTSC.DVDRip.DD2.0.x264-MMI&xl=82937786483&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopen.demonii.com%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopen.stealth.si%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.torrent.eu.org%3A451%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.ololosh.space%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopen.free-tracker.ga%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fleet-tracker.moe%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexplodie.org%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexodus.desync.com%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.moxing.party%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.bittor.pw%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Fshare.hkg-fansub.info%3A80%2Fannounce.php&tr=http%3A%2F%2Fretracker.spark-rostov.ru%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Fhighteahop.top%3A6960%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ffinbytes.org%3A80%2Fannounce.php&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fwepzone.net%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker2.dler.org%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.tiny-vps.com%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.qu.ax%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.filemail.com%3A6969%2Fannounce
where is the leaked pilot of the new relaunch?
>>1391279>there was a widescreen version released a while back with better picture qualityDoes anyone have this version? Don't particularly care about the stuff going on on the sides, and fuck any AI crap, it never makes things look good outside of the occasional still
>>1395761I'll see what I can do. I'm working on a pack of Angel DVDRips then I'll try to see what I can do about non remastered widescreen WEB-DLs for preservation of the non-authentic releases.
Bump
Buffy.The.Vampire.Slayer.S01.DVDRip.DD2.0.x264-Hi10P-LiGHTSPEED is the best quality for the first season, better than any upscale
>>1391224jesus fuck, can somebody please explain to the retard what happened here? who do I hang?
>>1399724Welcome to the wonderful world of corporate greed: put in the bare minimum required to make the product viable, then watch as the money rolls in. Doesn't matter if it's actually a good product, doesn't mean if the mood, the lighting, the quality of the whole thing is ruined, it'll sell and you'll make $$$
>>1399724They ignored the original intent of the people who made the show in the way they did - 4:3, low-light shots, color grading, all that - and "remastered" the show with a wider aspect ratio that ruins shot composition (or even shows crew members/equipment at some points) and a noise reduction filter that made everything brighter (which looks really stupid on night-time scenes). It's typical shitty executive "we think it's better and so will everyone else" bullshit. You're literally better off with the DVDs - or DVD rips if you're not looking for physical media - unless it's ever remastered properly, which I wouldn't count on happening.
>>1400333>unless it's ever remastered properly, which I wouldn't count on happening.Unlikely, the current way of thinking is 'no one wants to watch anything in 4:3. As an example, Paramount gave Star Trek: TOS and TNG big remasters, and people, naturally, assumed DS9, Voyager and Enterprise were coming down the pipeline, since they were either filmed in 16:9 to future-proof the show, since widescreen was starting to take off, or were already in that format to begin with. And Paramount just said nah, all that stuff is too old and the interest just isn't there. Which, to translate, means 'we wouldn't see a return on our investment as quickly as we'd like'. Long-term sales would be immortal, Star Trek pre-Discovery is evergreen, but up-front sales? Not as much.
>>1391224you people are always whining for brighter night scenes and when you finally get one that isn't good either.
