>>1394294i know this isn't /tv/ but i tried to watch this and couldn't go past episode 4. i went in expecting some lynchian dark epic, but something about the plot and acting felt stupid to me. all characters suffer from excessive personalities, everybody's shagging everybody, and the humor is misplaced. it's like the show wasn't taking itself seriously, and couldn't decide whether it was a soap opera, science fiction, comedy or horror.an example would be when the sheriff admits to the secret cult thing, and the fbi protagonist immediately goes along with a literal kidnapping. another is the whole teen drama between "the boys" of the town, especially this faggot in picrel. gimme a break. i get that this must've been interesting at a time with no internet access or alternatives. it had a legit 90s feel and some cliff hangers, but if these first 4 episodes are a sample of how the whole thing goes, then fuck this. i'd rather watch the x-files or better call saul.
