Maybe part of it is that I don't feel like I'm part of a community in the same way I did with historicals and Necromunda? Like the mindset and competitiveness reminds me more of CCG culture?

Why did they not make up a small little story about a squad of Armageddon Ork Hunters vs a new big Ork model, and tie it into the 11th Armageddon narrative, basically as an intro and teaser at the same time?

Dont get me wrong, the Red Terror is a cool model, and the spec-ops cadians are not bad either, but am i the only one who thinks this is a huge missed opportunity?

Kill Team Monday. My buddy wanted to borrow my Death Guard so I let him and went with my Angles of Death painted as Salamanders.

I really need to get new dice. 2 times I had 5 dice to hit and needed 3s. Both times I rolled nothing but 1 and 2s. Another time I rolled 4 1s and 2s and a single 3. Just cant fight the dice......My saves were not much better.....

Because while it sounds cool to do tie-ins like that, from a sales perspective, what you're suggesting would be stupid.

If you make the edition launch set Marines vs Orks and the Kill Team set at the same time Imperial Guard vs Orks, you sell to three groups - Marine players, Guard players, and Ork players. And some of those Ork players won't have enough money to buy both.

If you make the KT set Guard vs Tyranids, now you're selling to 4 groups, and have less overlap failure.

The price seems to be 100ukpounds 130euro 165usdollar, If you ignore the doissier and cards the discount is (arguably because we do not know the prices) 26%.
Approximated prices seperatly
Spectre squad: 42.50 ukpounds/69usdollar
Red terror: 63ukpounds/105usdollar
termagants: 29.50ukpounds/48usdollar
so you calculate around 26% discount on those and that is what you two should pay maybe with a small shift for whoever takes the dossier.

Surely loads, they could probably be made to fit any human-sized team if you have the right weapons. Check options for the two GSC teams, vetguard, novitiates, sanctifiers, hell try farstalker kinband.

Most teams need at least new bases and things like proper melee weapons and or guns like plasma melta or so. delaque has basically just pistols mps and a stick (yea two pistols are special flamer/grav, they have two knives and a "sniper" and that strange net gauntlet per 5 models).

Not him but Right now not really. They might be fucking annoying with perma camo cloak and the interrupt shit but most weapons have some kind of heavy, they have 5+sv REALLY suck at melee and most skills need something specific like keeping distance or bunching up. also special weapons ar emore or less fixed and you cannot take melta and plasma but getting two shots out of a plasma or melta with the loader guy sounds a bit crazy IF you can set it up.

But these guys have the interrupt mechanic which could really help them do the things kasrkin struggle to do. Still no seek light, and they'll get brutally shredded in a shootout if the enemy team has good access to saturate, but at least they can actually pull some tricks outside of a straight shooting match.

Yeah the stubber seems a bit of a miss, 3+ helps but it's still just a bolter with an extra attack with dash only attached. Needing to be on engage to do anything at all makes me think he's the first to be sacrificed, maybe as a distraction carnifex. Engage, reposition+dash into the enemies' midst and start suppressing them, if they're ranged that is, and with Issue Mission from the leader the guy could maybe even get to shoot if the enemy doesn't deal with him in one shot.
Really strange way to want to use an operative. I think he'd have been more thematic if he placed a token while on engage that caused the suppression effect.

That's actually a valid pick, just feels sad to drop a cool grizzled gunner for another joe trooper. I do like the lasweapons with rending/lethal and ability to get devastating, probably the part of the team that appeals the most to me.

To be frank similar for me. The rules seem cool but at the same time annoying for the opponent so i am not completly sold (but that seems to be the case with almost all new teams that come out). Also i still have to paint Battleclade and Sisters. Gonne buy the box (if i can) mainly for the doodads, book and mr red (that i am definitly not gonne paint red).

It could definitely be a simpler type of balancing system but if it is supposed to accomodate everything between crisis suits and redemptor dreads, and maybe even more, there's got to be some way for them to make it possible to determine how strong one nemesis operative is compared to another or I guess they could just not, and make every match in that gamemode a competition of who can bring the biggest unit to the table

they could just balance that with the abilitys and stats every "type" has its own table like in bighammer as well. basically they say dread has this and that stat and can get this rule or this rule and crisis has lower stats but better rules or somethin. think about it if they try to balance it with point it will always be kinda unbalanced because for ecample i play a dread for 300 points and you a centinel for 190 or so.

Exactly my thoughts. I dont even mind the spec ops Cadians in themselves, they would have worked fine as a box vs Red Terror as it is.. just not right in front of the 11th Edition which is all about Armageddon and Orks.
And lets be real.. this wont be the last team of guard for KT anyway, so they could have made both, just in a different order.
