So tell me about your Jumper's companions that they have picked up along the way. For those that are custom companions, who are they? For those that exist already in fiction, how have they changed?
>>98028558The most standout companion I can remember is actually myself, from that time Venti Anon and I went full potatoes.
I'm done remaking my Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar Jump. It's more accurate and less 'tism-y than the last version, but somethings were moved or removed for setting accuracy. Sorry.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T59hmAqHbB-dIVFuZiBOj7WDjEiZyz0d/view?usp=drivesdkI have no future plans other than to say I'm waiting on several games to get finished. There's things I'd change about Mass Effect, but that would take months and they're not necessities. It's fine as is. Heroic Age would be next if the moment took me. Demon King can blow me. I've made 12 Jumps I'm happy with. Half of those I've now remade at one time or another. Kek.
>>98029237Since you made a Tench adjacent jump, any chance of a core Tenchi Muyo remake Jump?
>>98029237The intro should have more information about what the world is like. Right now, paragraph 1 is about continuity and paragraph 2 is about how mecha are powered, which is fine, but is this an isekai war story or what?>Seikishi>Should you be male, pick a 600CP perk and item,Pick a 600 CP Perk and Item and... add them to our build? For free? Why? We just established that most male pilots suck. Why should they get +1200 CP worth of purchases for free? You should include some kind of bulk Companion import.Add a continuity drawback for Tenchi Muyo.
>>98029257I am allergic to powerful settings, and it's been over two decades since I watched the main series. I'm hesitant to even touch Heroic Age again due to how extreme the setting is. What I remember from reading the Tenchi Jump years ago is that it looks like it should have been two separate Jumps based on two separate canons. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Sorry.>>98029497>The intro should have more information.I think there's enough information throughout the Jump, but I added the genre tags.>add them to our build? It's a conditional statement that uses an inverted structure, you don't get anything for free. Unless it's listed next to a name, I don't think that should be your assumption either.>You should include some kind of bulk Companion import.No. It is my opinion that companions are used too flippantly. Especially when we can often completely create them. They should have a deeper cost than what they usually do. I will not change my mind on this.>Add a continuity drawback for Tenchi Muyo.Good idea. I read the manga and thought to add a switch for it, but the lore seems to be radically different and we don't see enough to make meaningful distinctions.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-C7Zhawov2FM5UUvfxuRS4ugyubihOkZ/view?usp=drivesdk
About Lord of the Mysteries, if I go with a build making me a Great Old One from the start, what can I do to help before the Apocalypse?Intervening in Klein's story is a terrible idea, as it went about as well as possible. Is there any antagonist that can be smote without breaking the chain of event leading to Klein's ascension? Even Adam needs to nearly ascend to save the world.
>>98029899>It is my opinion that companions are used too flippantly. Especially when we can often completely create them.nta, but I feel like their use these days is more about realizing the bragging rights of being jumper are pointless if you have nobody to brag to/laugh with. And over-nerfing just centralizes that style of play around perk sharing/item duping which is only going to breed more resentment on both sides.
>>98029948We have a jump for that? The Sun pathway God isnt complete until the end ish chapters of the story and Adam becomes his new body. Take over before he can be reborn.
>>98030053My second reason is that Seikishi are rare. I typed this out the first time, but 4chan forced a reload and I forgot to type it out again. 1,149 people are evacuated from the Academy at one point. Doing some napkin math, I arrived at 1,160 for a rough total. Of those, the majority should be staff or workers living on the land ships of nobles. If I had to put an actual number on how many Seikishi are students at the Academy, assuming four year schooling but with mixed year classes, I'd say there's maybe 160 students total. If you're being generous, maybe twice that. I can't recall a fight where more than 10 mechas are present. My third reason is that I just don't want to balance around companions. I get to the end of a Jump and allot companion CP based on what I'm offering. Since the 600CP perks and items are unique, I do not offer them. 200CP.Hypothetically, based on the information in this post and the Jump, what do you think 8 companions imported while earning just the free perks and items should cost?
>>98030142>Hypothetically, based on the information in this post and the Jump, what do you think 8 companions imported while earning just the free perks and items should cost?Original anon here. The community has settled by overwhelming consensus on ~300 CP being the appropriate cost to import 8 Companions with ~600 CP worth of purchases. This is invariant on the strength or rarity of what the jump makes you. For example, Exalted Solars is about playing one of only 150 demigod champions of the sun. So you give up 300 CP worth of enhancements balanced for demigods in order to grant demigod status to eight allies, while in Watamote you give up 300 CP worth of enhancements meant for a regular nerd to grant nerd powers to eight allies.Based on that standard, an import with 0 CP as you propose ought to cost 50 CP, meaning that you'd have to add a 50 CP copy of the comic or something along those lines to avoid having CP left over.
>>98028558Hmmm, I'm still working on it, but with this Weird Western Chain I'm thinking about... I'm probably going to pick up the Vampire Brides from Van Helsing. So, I'm probably going to adjust them into different Southern Belle or Western Lady archetypes and have some of them be part of the main posse or help manage whatever ranch/plantation that jumper owns.
No need for companions. I create constructs.
Is Shard still around? I have important news to give him.
>>98032637Nope, shard left. Besides even if he didnt Im not sure this thread is the place to look for anyone these days.

Shikata ga nai. I remade it because it was worse before. I don't usually care for mechs. They need to be slow or have weaknesses. Big O FTW. Lost Planet also did them well. Burning Gundam gets a pass too because I am literally the King of Hearts. Edge of the Sky is my favorite thing that I've made in recent memory. I need to find a Fallout weg worth a fuck.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hvYgJUz7kqxmmReRFD98Yf-DGWfgLnpW/view?usp=drivesdk
DDAnon strikes me as the type who wouldn't hesitate to slap his balls full force if he saw a mosquito on them. And then would do it again if he saw another mosquito. That is all.
>>98035256Fuck: >>98035487I've been taking my stranger Jumps and putting them through AI image generation just to see what comes out. Unsurprisingly, most of them won't go through without some editing due to guideline violations, but Edge of the Sky went through just fine. I can't get Corruption of Champions to go through for the life of me though, lol. I just think it's neat! Fuck if I could ever image like this. I tried to learn GIMP, and it escaped me at the time.>>98035511I do punch bees and things like that. You're not far off.
>>98035521Learn to take an L.
>>98032637SON OF A BITCH, I paid dearly for rushing through Bag a Legend (even though it is still objectively the most rewarding Ambition). I want space bat rabies, it's probably useful in kataleptic toxicology.
>>98035636https://youtube.com/watch?v=wcinzmfZeCc&pp=iggCQAE%3D
>>98035521Do you want help with the AI images? I can generate, including nsfw, locally. I'm set up for an anime style (pic related) but it should be easy to do a model for 3D to match the game if you prefer. I'd have to post any nsfw ones on the bunker of course.Offer is open for anyone else who wants to image their jumps with slop too.
>>98036004I genuinely appreciate the offer, but I'm just playing with the magic box. I wouldn't seriously image a Jump with AI. If the Jumps I make now were more mainstream, I probably would have been accused of using AI to generate them because I've been open about thinking AI can be cool. Luckily for me, my formating and spelling still otherwise contains errors to prove otherwise, lol I don't think it should be seriously used for the hobby outside of character art or throwaways like I just posted. SpazzWave uses AI for text generation, and that's why his Jumps are neither precise or slim. I just think it's dishonest to look at this and not think it's cool. There's some errors and it's low resolution, but it's still compiled relatively well. I remember playing cassette tapes in the car, and I'm not that old. Technology has come crazy far, and it will get better. Whether it remains accessible is another thing. If I were able and did image a Jump, I would probably just crop and transfer screenshots the best I could. I would like to take a moment to appreciate the people who know how to and do image their Jumps. I will always be relatively mid compared to them.
If Jumper has their own copy of Maethrillian along with Onyx Mark 2 from the Forerunner Halo jump and goes to the Mass Effect legendary edition jump set in 2180 about 3 years before ME1, what should they get up to? Assume they also bought the citadel and mass relay network items from the document.
I also have a question. If you choose hoenn in the pokemon jump, are the regis basically in the bag if you can remember the puzzle and pick masterball?
>>98036639Probably? As long as they didn't move there at a later date.
>>98036664>As long as they didn't move there at a later dateHmm, I always got the vibe they were sealed away in there since proto society times. But then again braille is only like 300 years old so maybe

>>98036610>Assume they also bought the citadel and mass relay network items from the document. The other Mass Effect Jumps are so fucking bad dude, holy fuck.
>>98036639depends on how much you imagine lore matches up to the video game, since a lot of stuff has to be assumed to be more elaborate just by the nature of it being an actual world, rather than a game.Like it's entirely possible for your jumper to end up there and for the puzzle to be infinitely harder.

On one hand, I don't care for authority for its own sake, but on the other I don't try to be an ass without a reason. Given that same mod then banned me in /jumpchain/ for correcting what someone said I did in relation to something else, they're probably sick of the whole thing. I am banned until the 18th, and will eat the ban as a show of good faith but also because I just don't care to post. Where to get a green lantern ring? What's the best one? Is it strong enough to build around?
>>98043959>Where to get a green lantern ring? classic DC Comics jumpJustice League UnlimitedThe BatmanGreen Lantern the Animated SeriesInjusticeDC Earth-11LarfleezeBlackest NightDC Comics CollabMight be missing one or two from our drive, and there's a few others elsewhere like With This Ring over on SB. You can also get the Green Lantern power without a ring in Kingdom Come. You should get Blue in GL TAS because that one lets you use it as a standalone ring with similar performance to Green post-jump, and Red from the classic DC Comics jump because it won't turn your blood to volatile plasma that basically kills you if you stop wielding the ring. JLU's ring is good to pick up if you're not getting one of the other capstone items since it also charges on supernatural electricity (see: Static Shock), and you may as well take Yellow in Injustice since that only lets you take Green or Yellow.>What's the best one?Blackest Night or DC Comics Collab because you can either build a better one, or do that on top of being Bigger Oan/Qwardian such that your created work.is an order of magnitude better/stronger than even the most bullshit ring users like Larfleeze or maxed out White Lantern Hal Jordan.
>>98044101 (Me)DC Earth-11 might be best saved for Violet/Star Sapphire if you're trying not to stick out/aren't a be the girl jumper, and Larfleeze is currently the only place you can get an Ultraviolet ring that's worth making the attempt since Comics Collab has better stuff to spend points on. You'll wanna hit up Blackest Night or Comics Collab to figure out how to build rings if you want an Indigo one that doesn't mind whammy its wielder... unless you pull a not!Riri and just casually hack Oa's blackbox tech that should not be vulnerable to being compromised, let alone so easily that you can sublet a whole extra Lantern's worth of power from another ring without the Corp noticing or properly disciplining the culprit in question. Orange is basically wherever, but you can use the fact you're likely building your own Indigo to build an additional one for Orange as well if you get the unaspected emotion entity youngly in a box from Larfleeze if only so you don't have to put up with the bullshit of the Orange 'Corps' when you finally get around to wielding a ring in that color.
>>98043959in Adidtion to what the other anon said you could also get the Startheart Shard Ring in DC Occult, which is basically a magical artifacts with abilties like the Green Lantern Ring, but rooted in magic rather than the Emotional Spectrum, the one in jump is less powerful than the OG starheart but doesen't need to be charged and has no weakness. So yeah definitelly pretty fucking strong.

Progress update on Monster House: I have everything up to the last perk done, and would appreciate sanity checks/feedback on what I have so far.The last perk, for being the Monster House, is giving me some trouble. Mostly how to communicate the need for a core and how internal structures become vaguely analogous to internal bodily structures, especially since I intend to allow for possessing any sort of structure. This'll take some thinking, but ideas are appreciated.Live document is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13H_g2vcTszigOSfhwFQpcGJxy0ZwNQXh5hLGYTng0VU/edit?usp=sharing

I just find myself in this weird situation due to circumstances over time. I've in recently memory replaced Jumps of mine on QQ, but I don't go out of my way to post there.
>>98058729I mean you could just make a new account and just not insult the mods? Even if sb is one of those places I agree they need to fuck off quite often
>>98052660A random vice will be chosen each jump, and jumper has two options. Either abstain from it entirely or devote themself to indulging in it as much and as extremely as possible.
So the newer Skyrim jump has an option to start at any point before Skyrim's start date as long as it's in the 4th era. Red Year was 4E5 so you could stop it from happening. I was thinking of going a step further and opening a portal so Baar Dau hits Alinor instead. How much do you think that would change the course of history? Summerset, to my knowledge, doesn't have an equivalent of Red Mountain to go off from the shock and ruin the whole province, but I'd imagine the loss of Alinor would still set the Thalmor back quite a bit. On Morrowind's side, I'd imagine they'd be in much better shape to hold back the invasion from Black Marsh, assuming the Accension War happens at all without the golden opportunity presented by Red Mountain's eruption. (It does, since I chose it for the Season Unending drawback)
>>98060720I don't think the Psijics would be inclined to let this go. Even if they did, I'm reasonably sure the Altmer be able to figure out /what/ hit them, and they would not let that go. I would 100% expect Altmer Psijics to break rank, at least.
What's a good way to occasionally simulate drama or conflict within my harem? Like, if I go out on a mission, what's a good way that I can determine if anything happened while I was gone, and the nature of what happened? Also, how can I determine jealousy/plotting between my girls?
>>98060805Oh no, not the Psijics. What if they're passive and reclusive at me? Oh, the horror. As for the Altmer, yes, they probably will figure out what hit them in time and it's reasonable to expect them to be salty about it, but it's not so easy to guess what exactly their anger will be pointed at. Figuring out what hit them is one thing, figuring out who, how and why is a tad more complicated. Then there's an issue of logistics. With Morrowind and Summerset being on opposite ends of Tamriel a full scale war would be difficult.>>98060856You could make some tables to roll on or ask an LLM to come up with something.

What are some characters in fiction that you are sure are secretly Jumpers. This character probably isn't a Barbarian, He is just a drop in trolling.
>>98060805>I'm reasonably sure the Altmer be able to figure out /what/ hit them, and they would not let that go.I wouldn't be surprised if the Thalmor tried to pin it on the Empire in order to rouse popular support or align interests with their cause. If it got out that Morrowind/Jumper was responsible and the general altmer population was focused on vengeance that would easily set back the Thalmor agenda by centuries.

>>98076626I already went with Mehrunes Dagon. This is at the very start of the fourth era, just after the Oblivion Crisis, so his forces and he personally are weakened. There's precedent to opening gates through in-universe means https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vonos%27_Journal even if what's detailed there is quite convoluted, I doubt it's the only possible way. What I want the distraction for is me opening another, temporary portal below Baar Dau leading to above Alinor and then using the Staff of Magnus to break the magic holding it afloat. I'd imagine Dagon would be happy to take credit for nuking one city while conquering another.I don't really mind if the city of Vivec gets sacked but I am trying to save, not doom Morrowind here. It's hard to imagine a single gate will cause as much damage as quickly as the eruption of Red Mountain. Ideally the Dunmer will manage to contain the situation without my involvement but if not, I'll support them in various ways. If that's not enough, I'll just go back on the spirit (though not the letter) of our agreement and close the gate and rout the invasion force with my personal army. If Dagon has already claimed credit, I doubt his ego would allow him to go "Well actually it was this guy that conned me." and even if he did, it would just look like him trying to make others go after the hero who thwarted him. While the gate would last indefinitely if left alone, it's not really "permanent". While it does function through hax I'm deliberately making it rely on the local magical framework so it's possible to close through magical means. It is also tied to its physical structure meaning that while not brittle, it can simply be destroyed with sufficient force.
>>98077295>https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vonos%27_JournalAh, dragonborn hax, a classic. But no, that all seem well reasoned, choosing Dagon at that time is quite elegant. While it is certainly unusual enough to invite curiosity, if only you and Dagon know it was you, well it comes down to how sneaky you are in the setup and with the Baar Dau business. Solid plan I'd say.

>>98081519I dislike breaking from 1/3/6, 1/2/4/6, and 2-1/2-2/2-4/2-6 perks or items. You could have one origin represent young and irresponsible adults, and change the current one to responsible adults. The items can be dropped down or up in price. A paid off house in a relatively Slice of Life setting could be worth 600CP, the same with a business. Whether you think Nebbercracker is responsible or not, you could have that origin's 600CP item just be a haunted building. Drop allowing "House" for companions, and just roll it into an item. The item could still be a companion import, but it should be an item. Maybe have them entombed in the basement? You could alternatively have the 600CP option just be a small purchasable circus. Having "Brick & Mortar", "House", "Haunted Building", and "Circus" could run your 600CP items for each origin. Speaking of which, label the goddamn items with their origin, and have at least one item for each tier. Throw items up or down until you have 1/2/4/6. There should be more than enough juice. Stop taking the fucking easy route. I literally redid two of my own Jumps because of irresponsible pricing. Off the top of my head for an Irresponsible Adult perk, getting away with being a dumbass like that black cop, or for doing sloppy work like that guy in the eating thing gif. Getting away with stealing a person (i.e. crime or HOA violations}, for another perk. I haven't watched that movie in over a decade. It should not be hard for you to do this. Fuck's sake, making finding your true love easier as a perk, for another. It's not difficult.
Did the bunker die for anyone else?
>>98086740Seems dead to me to R.I.P. the bunker.
>>98086740Workin' fine for me.
Kit from Gameoverse would make for a really fun "rival that follows jumper to each new jump and fucks with them" since she'd probably always read jumper as the hero of whatever world they're on, no matter what their actual end goal is. And then maybe you can give her mating press correction after she fails.
The latest Elden Ring update sucks.

>>98091443This is 4chan. People can and do contribute here without namefaggotry. Taking on persistent identities is not behavior that should be encouraged. >>98091469>says this when the people who started the hobby and actually built it up all used names because easy anonymity doesn't fucking work when you're doing long-term projects like JumpchainRetard.
>>98091474You're just deciding by yourself that anonymity can't work when there are anonymously made jumps on the drive.

>>98091503I try not to pay attention to who did or didn't make a jump and humble anons in particular don't make a point of mentioning that the jump was made anonymously. Of the two jumps I've made, one I've seen mentioned a few times, the other once. Can't say there's been much actual conversation. Not that conversation is a good metric for jump quality given it's almost entirely based on the popularity of the setting than any specifics of the jumpdoc. If a jumpdoc itself actually gets talked about, it's usually to complain about it.
>>98091536A good portion of this community only comes here to shit on people and jumps are another excuse to shit on people. Some people try to cover this up by pretending that hating on people is how to show you care about the hobby, but really they're doing it because that's the only thing they find fun. The split didn't kill the community, it only concentrated the people on either side, and this community ended up with more of the people who loved to shit on people.

>>98091750We never have been able to. But we can keep them from getting on in the first place.
>>98091752There's nothing "growing a thicker skin" can do when you have people who spend every waking moment trying to drive people out of the community, you dense faggot.
>>98091760Yes, there is, you retarded fucking nigger. The only way those people can ever hope to "drive people out of the community" is if the "victims" in question are such massive fucking pussies that words alone can drive them out. Such people have no place on 4chan. It's a problem entirely solved by growing thicker skin.
>>98091757That part we already failed at as well.
>>98091752>>98091766"You just need to grow a thicker skin!" are words used entirely by the sort of people who stay on this site all day and use all their time to scream about/at random jumpmakers until they leave, and then those same people wonder why no new jumps are being made or why nobody wants to engage with whatever random garbage they want to talk about. It's a defense used entirely by the worst people in the community.
>>98091760To be fair, once enough jumpmakers are driven out or join other communities, it will be easier to find places where people enjoy discussing jumpchain the hobby and less about lamenting how shit the hobby is, how terrible every jumpmaker is, how disgusting the community is because namefags still exist, and how the drive is forever tainted. It's not like anonymity here is real anyhow when 4chan has already sold our data.
>>98091766People like you who do nothing but screech are why 4chan is fucking shit now in the first place, I wish you'd fuck off to /v/ where the rest of you cancerous little faggots belong
>>98091209The guy who did it will just move back Nyanko and will probably move on to BLADE afterwards. Nothing will change beyond the target of the screaming and pissing. >>98091774Pretty much. Their attempts to kill the hobby will across both this place and the bunker will probably end up eventually forcing it somewhere where they won't be allowed any access. Problem is how long and painful it will be until then.
>>98091774>>98091780Then we'll finally have the Jumpchain Renaissance with Supermarket jumps and Out-of-Context Supplements galore. I can't wait.
>>98091785That's what you think, sure. More likely, we'll just see everyone migrate to a site with actual moderation/zero risk of schizophrenic faggots like 9anon selling everyone out to DD and not actually addressing any of the problems beyond the bare minimum. And you'll get locked out of the community entirely rather than clinging on to the edges like the parasite you are, which will no doubt make you cry and shit yourself even harder.
>>98091796Communities like that already exist in the form of reddit, Discord, Questionable Questing, and SpaceBattles. We don't have to speculate. Even though we've never had a heavily-moderated Jumpchain community that doesn't descend into complete and utter faggotry, surely it'll turn out differently this time (hell, Discord was even founded by former /tg/ers!)!
>>98091807>Communities like that already exist in the form of reddit, Discord, Questionable Questing, and SpaceBattles. None of those places are absent of malicious schizophrenic faggots at all. Fucking QQ and SB are literally home to several of them, and the former is where bancho currently posts since he hasn't done anything 'bad' enough to warrant them completely permabanning him.
>>98091813Somehow you'll migrate to (or build from scratch lmao) a new Jumpchain community and magically avoid schizophrenic faggots from becoming mods or otherwise influencing the hobby, even though that happened literally every time, even just counting /tg/ offshoots. Discord's mods were trusted /tg/ namefags, and the less said about 9Anon the better.
>>98091779The funniest thing is that these people are told time and time again that there's a hide and post filter function both here and on the bunker, yet they adamantly ignore you whenever you do so. They WANT to be mad, they WANT to screech at and drive away jumpmakers. They don't actually believe any of the crap they say about caring about the "integrity of the community", or "not wanting to interact with bad posters/jumpmakers" because they'd know it's far easier and less exhausting to just filter the people they don't like out and enjoy the stuff they like about jumpchain. They want to see everything their designated lulcows post or say because they need shit to gossip and shitpost about and they'd lose out on the freedom to talk shit to their faces to get them to abandon the community if they decided to just ignore and hide all their posts.
>>98091668>Be Ditto in PMD>Jump DC>Darkseid appears>Dittoseid appears>Darkseid uses Omega Beams>Dittoseid used Omega Sanctum
>>98091785What's more likely is that you'll still have one or two jumpmakers here, but the status quo will remain the same. You'll get one or two new posts a day, maybe one decent shit fest a week, and maybe one new jump every month or every several months. It won't be anything that will warrant much discussion, but it'll keep this community on life support. You and everyone else here will get used to it, and the cycle of bitching about how dead the place is and how other communities are responsible will continue for the next few years, or maybe the next few decades. Depending on how long DDanon lives, since he'll be the only consistent namefag left.
>>98091877Where do you even think people will go? The other communities are, as you yourself admit, full of schizophrenic faggots. Infinitychan is almost certainly your best option, but if you're looking for a place where nobody criticizes Nyanko or Argent for any reason, you're not likely to get it. They just too frequently engage in behavior that rubs 4chan natives the wrong way. Especially because you apparently want mods to selectively crack down on people you don't like (e.g. bancho), which effectively requires that your mods be Jumpchain participants actively nursing grudges against certain personalities for past behavior. \Also, if we're talking about driving away jumpmakers, Nyanko and Argent are hardly relevant namefags to champion. Nyanko makes less than one jump a year, and Argent isn't much better recently.
>>98091848They can't do that, because these people need a community, even if they claim that they hate the community and everyone needs to leave for reddit. DDanon is a great example of this. Constantly claims to hate the community and moans about how the community destroyed the hobby, but when finally given a chance to be free from the people he hated so much, he decides to go chase after them. When he's told that he has had years to make jumps with only himself as the audience, make his own drive, make his own community with like minded folks instead of chasing after a social club that he hates, he lashes out at people and tells them that they're dumb for even suggesting it.
>>98091902I don't think I'm the anon you think you're talking to. I don't care where people end up going or the namefag drama that goes on. I'm just saying that based on the trend of posts here and what stirs activity, I think the population will continue to dwindle. Realistically I think many people will quit the hobby to focus on real life. Personally, I don't care much about the community. No matter how slow the thread becomes it won't make a difference to me.
I hate this meta faggotry. Shitheads more concerned with stirring drama, backbiting, and harassing people than actually engaging with the hobby.
>>98091991See >>98091848>there's a hide and post filter function both here and on the bunker>it's far easier and less exhausting to just filter the people they don't like out and enjoy the stuff they like about jumpchain>They want to see everything their designated lulcows post or say because they need shit to gossip and shitpost about and they'd lose out on the freedom to talk shit to their faces to get them to abandon the community if they decided to just ignore and hide all their posts.
>>98091991It's you faggots that started this argument. >>98091139>>98091207Nobody was talking about namefags here until one of (You) crossposted.
>>98092027Pretty much. And unfortunately the dramafaggots tend to be anons, so it's harder to filter them.
>>98091902I myself don't care about how people personally feel about X or Y name/tripfag. I just want the constant bitching and screaming about them whenever they do or say anything at all, positive or negative, to fucking stop. It's not productive, is even LESS likely to motivate those people to work on jumps, and is easily solved by hiding or post-filtering which nobody does because they get a high from bitching about name and tripfags where everybody can see them.Literally nobody would give a shit if you hated Nyanko or Argent or whoever in the privacy of your own goddamn homes. But because you cannot hate them without making a social club of the activity, we are forced to watch you waste tens of hundreds of posts going on unhinged rants against their every waking moment or creating loosely on-topic scenarios where you fantasize about torturing them for the crime of existing without your consent.
>>98092035Solution I use is to go and do something else. Come back in a couple days and the thread will have moved on.
>>98092048I think the underlying problem here is that you don't have enough people who want to talk about the same thing you want to talk about anymore. The topics actually related to Jumpchain don't have enough people interested in them for extended discussions.
>>98092048>Literally nobody would give a shit if you hated Nyanko or Argent or whoever in the privacy of your own goddamn homes. If they don't want people to respond to them, they shouldn't post, ESPECIALLY with a name. Instead, they choose to post on a public forum where people are expected to respond to them, often in ways significantly more annoying than other namefags.Almost every jumpmaker manages to avoid this: BatsuAnon, CruelSpaceAnon, Deep Sea Jumpmaker, Gene, Goji-anon, Lone Valkyrie, NaziAnon, NuBee, Ricrod, Shard, WoL_Anon, etc. and that's just active jumpmakers who post a lot. More occasional jumpmakers like Bookman, CautiousAnon, Nameless_Anon avoid it entirely. Hell, even Psycho and SpazzWave don't get as much shit as Nyanko and Argent. 9Anon also completely avoided it until he abdicated to DDAnon. >for the crime of existing without your consentYou people want to pretend they just randomly catch flak that almost no other jumpmaker does, then also to brush off even valid criticism as shitposting. Very few people argue like Argent does. Very few people off-topic post like Nyanko does (except Psycho, and he still gets criticized for it, just not as much). It is actually unfair to other jumpmakers NOT to criticize them for this shit; if Nyanko or Argent are undeserving of censure, it implies that other jumpmakers are wrong to restrain themselves. Nyanko literally didn't even make a jump last year. Do you realize how absurd it is to pretend people hate him for existing? That people are still constantly aware of him without him making jumps implies at the minimum he tripfags with nothing to show for it. Why should people treat Nyanko the same as other namefags when he's actively behaves worse than them?
>>98092087>If they don't want people to respond to them, they shouldn't post, ESPECIALLY with a name. That's not how this works, and on the bunker, it doesn't fucking matter if you post with a name or not because the mods are active in the threads and can see when you are posting with or without your name and trip. That's the entire reason Shard got caught Gohanpodting mere days into the bunker's existence. >You people want to pretend they just randomly catch flak that almost no other jumpmaker does, then also to brush off even valid criticism as shitposting. Very few people argue like Argent does. People don't hate Argent for that. They hate him for bullshit "powerwank" reasons, which is womanspeak for "he talks about and engages settings with a different set of viewpoints than I do and that makes me angry". All the shit that Argent did that was especially egregious is years in the past by now and would have been entirely forgotten if he were any other jumpmaker, but keeps getting brought back up because Argent specifically has people who can't shut up about how much they want him dead. To the point they actively think he's fucking DDanon tier just for "powerwank". Same shit for Nyanko and his off-topic posting. >It is actually unfair to other jumpmakers NOT to criticize them for this shit; if Nyanko or Argent are undeserving of censure, it implies that other jumpmakers are wrong to restrain themselves. My guy, even before the fucking split, nobody here dared to tell Ric to knock it off with the barely on-topic image spam or him replying to shit only to talk about which waifus he'd like to fuck and nothing else. Nobody told Shard to stop sperging out about shit that didn't have jumps. >>98091991shut up, this is great material for my shitposting faggot jump
>>98092087>>98092108What you can't get through your head and what you think is exclusive to Argent and Nyanko when it's not, is that many of the jumpmakers here have zero fucking self control. Psycho has been told to stop making random nonsense posts or turning everything into a excuse to talk about JJK and he hasn't budged an inch on that front, BLADE has had entire periods of shitposting worse than anything Argent has been accused of and he doesn't get shit for those, Spazzwave literally writes jumps with AI and he's allowed to do whatever. Argent and Nyanko aren't doing anything inherently worse than most of the others, new or old. You only say that they are because if you had to actually judge their behaviors compared to the behavior of those around them, you wouldn't have anything to justify making hundreds of posts trying to run them out of the community or talking about how much you want to torture them to death. Every jumpmaker is a powerwanker, every jumpmaker does offtopic bullshit, every jumpmaker shitposts. Argent and Nyanko do not do these things in any greater amount than the dozens of jumpmakers here already or the dozens who preceded them. You hate them for personal reasons that you can't resist forcing onto the thread and making us all have to suffer from when everybody with a brain and eyes tells you to just fucking filter them.

And regardless of what you hate them for, equating them to fucking DDanon is insane and that's what a lot of you faggots have been doing. >>98092153>Again, utter nonsense. What possible reasons could those be.Yes. To all of those things, actually. People have used Argent's sensuality as a point against him. We had one guy in particular keep calling him a liberal/wokie/[insert unhinged buzzwords here] because he didn't act like a /pol/faggot at all times. It's almost like contributing content to the community naturally inclines people to forgive some of your sinsNyanko is actively making jumps, Argent is actively making jumps. So long as they're not forced or made to stop by external factors, they are a net positive on acquiring more jumps which by your own logic, is the only measure of a 'good' jumpmaker (since Spazz making jumps entirely built on AI clearly isn't a point against him so long as he's making jumps). Nyanko and Argent both post updates to what they're working on and take requests when able. When you force people out of the community due to personal hatred, those people are no longer there to make jumps for you. This is simple arithmetic, but you can't seem to get it because you're too focused on bitching about them doing shit every other jumpmaker does daily.>Again, utter nonsense. What possible reasons could those be. Everything you just listed and then some. Easily verifiable through the archives, but it's clear you only use those when it suits you and no more.
>>98092154>And in both cases, nobody gave shit once both of them told them to fuck off.Well, guess what. As anons, we only have so much power. If they won't do anything, they won't do anything, but certainly I wouldn't get triggered at people who complain about their obnoxious posting habits, even if they IMO are less bad about it than Nyanko. God knows I've complained at least a half-dozen times each about Psycho's Edo Period and Heian Era jumps.
>>98092166Again, we have multiple LGBT and liberal jumpmakers. Saying that Argent is uniquely hated for them is thus ridiculous. You keep saying all jumpmakers do this or that, but it actually weakens your point, because it removes all possible reasons to dislike Argent except for behavior unique to him.
>>98092176>Psycho both produced more jumps this and last year, and has multiple active WIPs. So does Argent. In fact, Argent has posted lists of his active WIPs and has even posted them in the threads before. This doesn't mean anything. There are anon jumpmakers with lists of WIPs that we probably aren't going to see any time soon who post incessantly and without a care.>Nyanko just now, after years of his posting habits, is making a single jump for a setting no one cares about. His new jump is getting frequent engagement and people replying to every new update he makes. That is the opposite of "no one cares". Once again, your mental illness and bias compels you to make up shit that conflicts with objective reality.>He certainly has a solid track record for finishing them.He has procrastinated on several jumps he keeps saying he will work on in lieu of shitposting. And among his finished jumps, he has literal fanfic jump that were and are universally hated for being literal fever dreams he concocted.
>>98092185>Saying that Argent is uniquely hated for them is thus ridiculous. Yet he is. Because these are the only fucking things + powerwank that he's ever confronted and told to leave/kill himself over.>because it removes all possible reasons to dislike Argent except for behavior unique to him.And I'm sure you can provide some actual evidence of these unique behaviors of his that justify the level of disproportionate shitposting he receives. After all, they must be in the archives somewhere.
>>98092178>Nyanko is actively making jumps, Argent is actively making jumps. So long as they're not forced or made to stop by external factors, they are a net positive on acquiring more jumps which by your own logic, is the only measure of a 'good' jumpmaker (since Spazz making jumps entirely built on AI clearly isn't a point against him so long as he's making jumps). When you force people out of the community due to personal hatred, those people are no longer there to make jumps for you. This is simple arithmetic, but you can't seem to get it because you're too focused on bitching about them doing shit every other jumpmaker does daily.Nyanko is actively making a single jump, after a year+ of inactivity. Everything else you said is fine, but those are just reasons to tolerate Nyanko. It doesn't absolve him of anything especially relative to other jumpmakers, all three of which have made more jumps. Yes, Nyanko making jumps can be considered a reason not to run him out of the community. No, they're not a reason to exonerate him of all wrongdoing and to let his behavior go unremarked on. >Spazz making jumps entirely built on AIWe can't know that. Only that a portion of his jumps are made with AI, and you might assume that his use of AI at all is a red flag, but Nyanko is also notorious for AI advocacy. For both them and in general, we have to go by the honor system. >you can't seem to get it because you're too focused on bitching about them doing shit every other jumpmaker does daily.Yeah, and this is another problem with you people. It's more like there are a handful of jumpmakers who do anything even remotely comparable. Psycho, Ric, and BLADE, and almost certainly with less frequency. Definitely not "every other jumpmaker" as you're claiming. >Easily verifiable People uniquely hate Nyanko and Argent for qualities that aren't unique to them. Right.
>>98092179>but certainly I wouldn't get triggered at people who complain about their obnoxious posting habitsI would when you do it incessantly, without prompting, and when everyone has kept telling you to hide and filter them if they make you this fucking mad all the goddman time whenever you see them post. You keep giving shitty justifications for why you refuse to do this and thus validate all the people who want you to fucck right off, because the only reason you'd refuse to do this is because you have a personal vendetta you can't pursue if you actually ignore them for good.
>>98092200>We can't know that. Yes we fucking can. He's admitted it outright.>but Nyanko is also notorious for AI advocacy. Nyanko uses AI as a toy by his own admission and actively criticizes and despises AI being used for anything else. He doesn't use it to literally write his jumps for him.>Yeah, and this is another problem with you people. It's more like there are a handful of jumpmakers who do anything even remotely comparable. Psycho, Ric, and BLADE, and almost certainly with less frequency. Ric has been one of the most frequent shitposters here pre-split and was responsible for pushing us to image limit several times over. BLADE'S futa obsession and love of shitposting were and are still some of the most obnoxious kinds of posts you'll find. >People uniquely hate Nyanko and Argent for qualities that aren't unique to them. Right. They hate them for shit that's common to every other jumpmaker, yes. The entire stated reason for hating Argent has consistently been him being a powerscaler. Nyanko is hated for being too horny or going overboard with it, to the point frequent arguments were made to ban hornyposting on the bunker because of him alone (ignoring that Ric does the exact same shit and actually did it a lot more frequently than Nyanko had been originally). These reasons aren't unique to them, but are made out to be signs of them being a net negative for Jumpchain as a whole by their detractors and an example of why they need to be forced out of the hobby.
>>98092191>So does Argent. In fact, Argent has posted lists of his active WIPs and has even posted them in the threads before. This doesn't mean anything. There are anon jumpmakers with lists of WIPs that we probably aren't going to see any time soon who post incessantly and without a care.Yes, and Psycho both posts visibly and has 30+ jumps to his name. And BLADE. Even if they're taking awhile, that record speaks for itself. >His new jump is getting frequent engagement and people replying to every new update he makes. That is the opposite of "no one cares". Once again, your mental illness and bias compels you to make up shit that conflicts with objective reality. Most jumps get some level of engagement. It's not like we have a way of objectively measuring it. But it was for a setting no one had heard of and no one had asked for until he posted about it. That wasn't meant to denigrate the setting, but it should not be controversial to admit that Psycho and BLADE make jumps for more popular settings that more anons are likely to care about. This is not a measure of quality, just one reason why people are understandably (if perhaps unfairly) inclined to tolerate his behavior. >He has procrastinated So has Nyanko on Brutal Legend, which he started more than a year ago. >universally hatedI thought no one gave him shit? >>98092197>Yet he is. Because these are the only fucking things + powerwank that he's ever confronted and told to leave/kill himself over.So why don't others who share the same qualities get the same flak?>>98092197>After all, they must be in the archives somewhere.I KNOW you know that we haven't had a useful archive since moving to 8 chan.>And I'm sure you can provide some actual evidence of these unique behaviors of his that justify the level of disproportionate shitposting he receives. Also, you would consider any disagreement or criticism he receives, no matter how merited or gentle "shitposting".
>>98092231>So why don't others who share the same qualities get the same flak?Entirely because of vibes and seniority. Shard is a worse powerscaler and wanker than Argent in all metrics, but he doesn't get shit for it even when he's not actively making jumps because Shard has been here for ages and everyone knows him. That's it. Argent is far newer and is far more likely to engage people arguing with him in bad faith than Shard so he gets more shit despite not doing anything that Shard himself doesnt already do.>I KNOW you know that we haven't had a useful archive since moving to 8 chan.Talking about 4chan's archives.>Also, you would consider any disagreement or criticism he receives, no matter how merited or gentle "shitposting".If you had evidence of behaviors entirely unique to Argent that justify the way he's treated or claims that he's equivalent to DDanon or bancho as have been frequently stated by those who hate him, then I'd be willing to hear you out. But seeing as you keep shifting goalposts once confronted, I'm suspecting that you don't.
>>98092212>Yes we fucking can. He's admitted it outright.Spazz has admitted to using it for a portion of his jumps. >Nyanko uses AI as a toy by his own admission and actively criticizes and despises AI being used for anything else. He doesn't use it to literally write his jumps for him.He is still the most AI-friendly jumpmaker next to Spazz. Who has denied using his jumps for their entirety. Spazz might use AI, but what are we supposed to do about that unless we enact a new (unenforcable) rule to ban AI-use in jumps?>Ric has been one of the most frequent shitposters here pre-split and was responsible for pushing us to image limit several times over. BLADE'S futa obsession and love of shitposting were and are still some of the most obnoxious kinds of posts you'll find.I've criticized Ric several times for that and so have others. Image limit also hasn't been relevant since we movd to the bunker, and Ric has largely stopped shitposting (except in response to shitposting, like his gay flirting/drama with Psycho). Which probably should be discouraged where it doesn't relate to Jumpchain, but they tend to bundle it with Jumpchain-related posting. BLADE is annoying, but I wouldn't consider him a shitposter except for the kinds of jumps he makes (which I'm usually the one to criticize). Futa he tends to keep to the horny thread. >These reasons aren't unique to them, but are made out to be signs of them being a net negative for Jumpchain as a whole by their detractors and an example of why they need to be forced out of the hobby.Well, they shouldn't be forced out of the hobby, but they should certainly be allowed to be criticized for it. Since we're talking about archive links, can you show other jumpmakers (other than Psycho, who we've already acknowledged as being similar) doing something similar to this:>moe/jumpchain/res/198480.html#306243
>>98092261>Spazz might use AI, but what are we supposed to do about that unless we enact a new (unenforcable) rule to ban AI-use in jumps? Not allow his jumps on the drive? It's that easy.
>>98092264That would require unanimous disapproval. Which even Nyanko don't have, and would be for more severe than what Nyanko and Argent receive anyway. So you can hardly blame anyone for not blocking Spazz's jumps off the drive on the basis post-facto policy against AI. Especially since we can look at the bunker and see that YOU certainly are not leading a crusade against his jumps or anything of the sort. I'm not advocating for any action against Nyanko or Argent, save for refusal to brush their behavior under the rug. Spazz using AI for his jumps is distasteful, but actually doing anything about that requires more than just shitposting him about it, which already happens semi-regularly.
>>98092264>>98092276*even Nyanko and Argent don't have
>>98092261>Well, they shouldn't be forced out of the hobby, but they should certainly be allowed to be criticized for it. I am not in argument of criticism. But at this point, that's not what these people are doing. It's quite literally just defamation, personal attacks on their character, and bringing up real life shit to grill them with. Like the one faggot who really can't seem to let go of Argent mentioning his real life troubles and keeps using that as a personal attack on the man. Meanwhile, Ric is just fine when he brings up how cursed his life is.>Since we're talking about archive links, can you show other jumpmakers (other than Psycho, who we've already acknowledged as being similar) doing something similar to this:Ric.https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95063881/#95066383https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95191504/#95193968https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95202950/#95212595
>>98092261Criticism can and should be constructive or Conducive to getting people to learn from whatever mistakes they're making or how to improve. That's not what happens with Argent and only sometimes happens with Nyanko. Ad hominem attacks and borderline slander of someone's character, both morally and personally (over "powerwanking" in a fucking single player imagination game of all things) =/= criticism. I'm all for criticizing Argent and Nyanko...if that was what was actually happening. But it's not. Which is why I'm arguing that these people need to let go of their obsession and just fucking filter them if they can't control themselves when they're around.
>>98092284>It's quite literally just defamation, personal attacks on their character, and bringing up real life shit to grill them with. Like the one faggot who really can't seem to let go of Argent mentioning his real life troubles and keeps using that as a personal attack on the man. Meanwhile, Ric is just fine when he brings up how cursed his life is.Yeah, all that sucks and should be condemned. But also, blog-posting isn't really on-topic, and people do keep saying Ricrod needs to go to church to ward against his bad luck. As much of an asshole as that anon might be for using that against him, it doesn't really change the validity or lack thereof of unrelated criticism. I dunno, man, I'm just used to seeing a lot of that kind of stuff on 4chan. >https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95063881/#95066383This is part of a reply chain relating to a chainbutt. >https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95191504/#95193968This seems to be similar, with Ric seemingly doing his own version of an anon's harem houserules: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95191504/#95193330>https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95202950/#95212595Part of a reply chain about jumpers in Star Wars: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/95202950/#95212352>>98092292To be frank, I do mostly glaze over Argent's arguments (even though I don't have him filtered). I don't know or care if he powerwanks, but I do see his rhetoric on occasion, and he seems pretty quick to insult his opponents (where he was banned from the bunker once because of it). I actually value Argent pretty highly, but I'm not going to ignore his flaws. Nyanko, likewise, I don't value as highly but I'm ambivalent towards him. It's still hard to ignore the fact that if I see off-topic posting, it's usually Nyanko or Psycho. And I have gently reminded people of that like "What does this have to do with Jumpchain?"
>>98092333>Yeah, all that sucks and should be condemned. But also, blog-posting isn't really on-topic, It's not on-topic but it's not actively condemned either and I've never seen it used against people here barring extreme cases like bancho (and even then, people were mostly sympathetic until finding out that bancho is bancho).> I don't know or care if he powerwanks, but I do see his rhetoric on occasion, and he seems pretty quick to insult his opponents (where he was banned from the bunker once because of it).Argent really only starts insulting people who start insulting him first or otherwise make passive-aggressive remarks to get a response from him. Even in the situation he got banned over, that was after Generic riled him up to intentionally cause that after starting shit because of his Changed jump. >And I have gently reminded people of that like "What does this have to do with Jumpchain?"Understandable. But I really do think it's easy to just ignore it. Except when Psycho is hijacking your post or the current discussion to make it about JJK, that shit genuinely pisses me off when he does it sometimes.
>>98092355>It's not on-topic but it's not actively condemned either and I've never seen it used against people here barring extreme cases like bancho (and even then, people were mostly sympathetic until finding out that bancho is bancho).I don't really pay attention to it other than (unwillingly) keeping a vague mental note of who does it more often (Shard, Psycho, Ric, Argent, Batsu). If someone uses it against you, that's not fun or right, but it does seem like an obvious consequence of posting personal details with a name on. Ric, for example, hasn't been attacked using it, but he did get that whole "Generic Ricrod" jump using details of his blog-posting. >Argent really only starts insulting people who start insulting him first or otherwise make passive-aggressive remarks to get a response from him. Even in the situation he got banned over, that was after Generic riled him up to intentionally cause that after starting shit because of his Changed jump. Not that insulting someone in an internet argument is noteworthy or worthy of condemnation, but using a name both makes actions more likely to be remembered invites comparisons to other jumpmakers, rather than anons (who are already transient by nature). I can't really get too mad at Argent for it, but it does stand out in comparison to other namefags. >Understandable. But I really do think it's easy to just ignore it. Except when Psycho is hijacking your post or the current discussion to make it about JJK, that shit genuinely pisses me off when he does it sometimes.I usually don't say anything, but if the topic of "which namefags do this more often" comes up, it's going to filter to the top of my memory. Anyway, I think I've exhausted most of my care for this topic. Enjoy the rest of your night/morning, anon(s).

Not always a perfect effort, but still.
>>97942304>who he predatedAlso meant to clear this up but April was kinda a busy month: Unless DDanon knows Quicksilver IRL, I might predate him as a participant but only got a name much later on in the hobby due to being blueballed out of jumps I really wanted. I was playing Jumpchain while it was a standalone CYOA in /cyoag/. I neither know nor care when he hopped on but I do remember (very fuzzily) when he first showed up in the main Jumpchain threads.
Damn this really is just ddanons personal crashout closet huh? What happened to you guys?
>>98093155Community migrated to a different sitte, the bunker(link in the drive). So the only ones who still frequent here are those like ddanon who got banned there or who avoid it because of the notoriety of the site.i assume that's what you are asking for, if you are asking for what happened to the non-bunker community in general, I got no Idea I check this thread once every few days when I open tg for other stuff anyway.
>>98093155I told them to just come on over to the bunker for their own sake and they didn't listen, this is the result.
>>98093155Most jumpmakers left. The few who still post here don't get many reactions. The anons who used to post builds don't post as frequently. When they do there isn't much discussion anyways. People don't have as many topics that they want to discuss and the ones that normally garner discussion are over on the bunker. So that leaves meta discussions about how the bunker is killing this place as one of the only topics left. It just so happens that the only consistent namefag here also likes to bitch about their social club so that topic has the most visibility and this thread starts to become DDanon's social club instead. No one cares enough to change this because what's the point.
>>98092732>Man it shouldn't even matter now I've quit the hobby and allMake Infernals 3e.
>>98093860The more you ask the less interest there is in it.
>>98093919That's what they all say.
>>98093936I get that you really want him to rejoin the hobby as a jumpmaker, but the whole "you will never be able to leave jumpchain" grows old when the only thing you say when you think you see him is "Make X jump now". Like why don't you do it instead? It doesn't feel like a joke comment anymore.
>>98093810>The anons who used to post builds don't post as frequently.Honestly they've kinda died out there too. Feel like the bunker could at least make a token effort to fix that by making sure any of those "(jump), wat do?" posts had the jumpdoc posted with the prompt/image since they have the space for it. Maybe ask for builds and see what happens. Or unironically do a 5 jump-long potatoes on a separate thread with each 'turn' being something like an in-jump month or three.
>>98094082They could but there isn't any motivation to do it over there, because people are comfortable maintaining the status quo they have established. Someone could probably try what you put up in the spoilers but again, no one cares enough to start it so even though there would probably be one or two folks willing to participate, there's nothing to start it off. It would probably also attract bad actors.
I just Ran my second session of an RPG. Surprisingly it didn't blow up in my face yet, I consider that a win. What is your favorite Jump based on a TTRPG?

>>98094082DD is a worthless sack of shit I wish got hit with both Homelander and the Deep's deaths at the same time, but he's not incorrect about the bunker being basically a social club that occasionally discusses jumpers in the context of chainbutts. There are a few people like Goji making jumps there and a handful posting builds, but it's really more the exception than the rule. Somehow, that place is still better for discussing Jumpchain than here or...well, anywhere else really. Sad!
>>98094082>spoilerThe only people there who might be willing to entertain that are Shard and Argent, since they're also the only ones who made a separate thread to discuss autistic whiteroom scenarios rather than dump porn. And Shard's retired and Argent got ran out.

3.5 Jump brainstorming.>let people take clases for 50CP up until the 10th>11 and onward is 100CP due to being considered literally legendary as by Legend Lore>first class is free>similar structure with races based on CR>similar structure with items based on gold price>allow prestige classes at 100CP>could bundle classes and prestige classes in origins>this making perks more valuable rather than just dumping CP into clases alone>have being a Gestalt tied to one of the origins
>>98091503A jump being talked about is not the same as it being goodif anything it's the reverse, since making overpowered slop looks like the best strategy for getting the jump talked about
>>98099427Only problem is... I don't recall anyone asking.
>>98099427Scrap. Classes and levels are gameplay abstractions, not something that exist in-universe*. Choose a 3.5e setting and make the jump based on its lore.If you're going to insist on that approach I have to say that sounds expensive as fuck. By "taking classes" I assume you mean class levels. Classes and races are going to bleed you dry before you even get to the perks.*unless we're talking something silly like OOTS
>>98099427>origin items for sale would be specifically chosen items that are worth more but sold for lower CP values than gold price>having things pre-curated accounts for specific lore choices and setting noobsThis seems rather clear cut to me. >2 perk and item lines>4 or 5 origins>Roleplayer, Mage, Thief, Warrior, In-World Sphere Drop-In (Maybe)What am I missing?>>98099445You're literally the same one guy. You're a coward who would and probably did kiss my ass as soon as I had any meaningful powerful to actually ban you. 10-to-1, you're just a salty namefag. I find it infinitely amusing I could have put my boot on your head at any moment, and instead so many of you put it in your mouth. My ops are weak. You are stuck with me.ttps://youtu.be/oxPBoQN3W8A?si=JGe_eKz88NyfLLH6>>98099517I'm talking Forgotten Realms.>By "taking classes" I assume you mean class levels. Classes and races are going to bleed you dry before you even get to the perks. That's kind of the idea of rolling a handful of builds people usually take or which are notably powerful into perks. Like, Cheater of Mystra would be Dweomerkeeper + four floating and one purchases of a Divine and Arcane caster, respectively. If it went that route, limiting prestige clases entirely outside of perks might be the play. Still offering more than the equivalent Jumps.
>>98099427Honestly, horrible. Jumpchain uses exponential pricing for options. Pumping 100 CP more into a 500 CP option should get me a bigger advantage, not a smaller one. Fuck what magically counts as "legendary", all the real important mortal characters have 30+ class levels. And that's not even getting into the fact that not only are gods highly visible characters, but that 3e literally includes outright rules for playing them, so they need to go on that power level chart as an option too.And gestalt is just doing an end run around the arbitrary modeling of power levels you're using.
>>98099427I do not get the increase in price for classes after 10th level. I think this might be to try and convince people to not just jump to 20th level but honestly the best way to do that is to put interesting perks and items that make them spent points.I know you do not like companions but I ask you to unclinch your sphincter for this one because it's supposed to be a team jump as D&D is best enjoyed with a party of friends. I would even consider a mass import option where you can import EVERY companion as a guild.I would instead of going with stock DnD items make interesting custom psuedo artifacts. Also how about a DM's Favorite player perk that can be like a luck perk. Maybe even a drawback to have to have a "That Guy." in your party with another draw back to have a DM that thinks they have to kill players or else things are going wrong.
>>98099517d&d's abstractions aren't so abstract they stop being useful for an imagination game imo"you are a 5th level wizard" is way more useful to me then "you are an ok wizard" for knowing what my jumper can do
>>98099427I already said something but... I do have a bit more advice. Don't worry what people are going to build with your jump. Let them play. I think being a Jumpmaker is like being a DM. You have to be willing to let the players break everything in the name of fun. There are not sacred cows and if they want to pants Elminster, when he is talking to a bunch of important people let them try. I know he is wearing robes and hence not wearing pants but let them try and find a way to make it work.
>>98099444>A jump being talked about is not the same as it being goodA jump being talked about is the only measure of whether or not it's worth anything, because that shows that it's being used. A jump that doesn't get any discussion at all is useless garbage, like all of Argent's jumps.
>>98099598The Forgotten Realms is canonically a playground for various immortal and Level 30 characters, I know that. I know about Xorvintaal, I know about the games that angels and demons play.>Pumping 100 CP more into a 500 CP option should get me a bigger advantageIt's all relative. The lore is the lore, man. I don't care if exceptions exist. Also, it would be 450CP, because the first would be free.Elminster with only 32 caster levels in one of the books briefly held literally all magic inside of himself. Szass Tam, who has 29 caster levels, invoked low-level magic in a place where magic literally didn't exist and without the feats or classes to do that. Daurgothoth, the strongest named dragon with stats, is caster level 40, 1 caster level behind Karsus who killed the goddess of magic with a single spell. According to Ed, The Shrinshee is supposed to have over fucking 50 caster levels in 3.5. I am well aware how dumb the setting gets. The vast majority of people are not these characters. Even many characters in the Epic Handbook are not these level of characters. Hecatoncheires are supposed to be pantheon-level threats, and they can't even teleport independently. Lore and mechanics are correlative, but they're not necessarily descriptive of everything they can do. The line has to be somewhere.>>98099517 >>98099610>and make the jump based on its lore. That's why I brought up the spell Legend Lore, by the way. Level 11 characters are considered legendary outside of the largest of cities. Outside of places like Thay where "magically competent" is considered Level 17 / 9th level spells.>ask you to unclinch your sphincter for this one because it's supposed to be a team jump as D&D is best enjoyed with a party of friends.I would do something more than normal.>Also how about a DM's Favorite player perk >drawback>"That Guy."I pretty much have that shit on lock, yeah.
>>98099819Is the granularity of buying each level separately really necessary? Start at level 5 for free, option to get some points for starting at one instead, get +5 levels for 100 CP up to 20 sounds just about reasonable. Honestly I'd still rather get a perk that lets me level at the rate of a PC than straight up start at 20.
>>98099819>The vast majority of people are not these characters. Most people in DC aren't Superman, but the jump should let you be Superman, not cap out at some random office drone. I've been thinking about power levels for my own Forgotten Realms dupe, albeit based on 2e. And my idea is roughly>Free: Level 1>200: High teens>400: 30+>600: Demigod>800: Greater GodBecause not only should Elminster be buildable, but his sugar momma Mystra (one of several main characters who became gods over the course of their stories) should also be buildable.>>98099852Player characters in Forgotten Realms are not exceptional. "Leveling like a player character" is the baseline potential everyone without a learning disability has, which is why you can hit epic levels and still only be semi-noteworthy within your own small home nation.
>>98099889>Player characters in Forgotten Realms are not exceptional. "Leveling like a player character" is the baseline potential everyone without a learning disability has, which is why you can hit epic levels and still only be semi-noteworthy within your own small home nation. Most people don't go from "Knows a few cantrips and needs to take a nap after casting one or two first level spells" to "Throws around 9th level spells" in the span of a few months.
>>98099905The DMG doesn't specify a time span for adventures to take part over, and the actual big names of the setting didn't go from level 1 to 20 in a few months either. You're asking for an insane level of talent (or some kind of outright Gamer system) that no one has ever had.
>>98099852>Is the granularity of buying each level separately really necessaryWhat I'm purposing is already more than the other two 3.5 Jumps I've used have done. I get why people don't touch the topic, or if they do they touch lightly on anything. It's a fuckload to consider. That's why I'm bouncing ideas off the thread. I'm not even committing, I'm trying to figure out how it would even work mechanically.>>98099889>And my idea is roughlyYou're out of your fucking mind. As above, what I'm proposing is already more than the other Jumps I've seen which are reasonably finished.>is the baseline potential everyone without a learning disability hasThe average NPC literally doesn't even have A class level. They die to house cats, literally.I'm trying to listen to what you're saying, but you have to give me more than "Reapers exist, so let me be a Reaper". I will never do that just because of that. A group of level 15 characters is supposed to be enough to fight Tharizdun breaking out of his cage. Come on, man.
>>98099925>You're out of your fucking mind. The Forgotten Realms is a setting where there were recently two giant nations ruled by competing demigods, gods are directly intervening with and talking to main characters, at least three main characters that I can think of off the top of my head obtained apotheosis, a powerful goddess was a damsel in distress for an adventure, and many gods are outright killed. Based on all these things, it's negligent not to offer godhood in a jump for the setting.>The average NPC literally doesn't even have A class level.Bill the level 1 commoner isn't a level 10 fighter because he has chosen to stay home and tend the farm. If he actually worked out, ate right, got some training from the local men at arms, and risked his life in some real skirmishes with gnoll bands he'd "level up" just fine. He's weak because he doesn't want to do all that shit.>A group of level 15 characters is supposed to be enough to fight Tharizdun breaking out of his cage.I don't know why you're even bringing up Tharizdun since he's a Greyhawk character. But to be cheeky: well by this admission you shouldn't be worried about offering godhood because it's not that impressive power level wise.
Has anyone tried playing a jumpchain with a generic rpg system solo with oracles? That would be more game like than writing out a jumpchain on its own.
>>98100030>The Forgotten Realms is a setting whereYou're overall not talking about 3.5 events. A 3.5 event would be talking about the quasi-deity Dragon Ascendant Tchazzar, and his ruling a nation. He's a quasi-deity through classes, not worship, and he isn't a true deity on the Prime Material Plane.>gods are directly intervening with and talking to main charactersThis still happens, but through Chosen. They can't just swing dick around on the Prime Material Plane.>He's weak becauseHe's weak. That's kind of the end of it.>I don't know why you're even bringing up TharizdunBecause he exists in the Forgotten Realms? Because the Abyss exists because of what he did? So do references to Boccob and Steel Dragons exist in the Forgotten Realms. Elminster literally said the correct name for Steel Dragons are "Greyhawk Dragons". The hardest metal in the Forgotten Realms is just Obdurium from Greyhawk. I want to say Obdurium is referenced in the Miniature Handbook that the Marshal class is in.>But to be cheekyIt wants to make me offer even less. It's like when Ed says that a Wizard wouldn't fair especially well against an AC-130, but that's just not the case by even some simple spells.I think I know this wheelhouse relatively well.
>>98099889People like Lucifer Morningstar and the Source exist in DC. What jump lets you be either of them?Let's bring this back to the Forgotten realms though. Ao exists, he is the over god. Should we be able to be him? Hell he has a boss. We know nothing about her but she does exist too. How about this pricing.>1000 Ao>1800 Whatever the fuck Ao's boss is.Isn't it okay to draw the line at somewhere reasonable?
>>98100183>Whatever the fuck Ao's boss is.I'm pretty sure the Luminous Being is supposed to be the DM.
>>98100167>You're overall not talking about 3.5 events.Granted. That's because everybody cares about Drizz'it and Elminstir and Baldur's Gate and nobody knows who the hell... (checks wiki)... Talbot Uskevren is.>Because the Abyss exists because of what he did?Uhh, no? Not in 3e. That's 4e lore.>So do references to Boccob and Steel Dragons exist in the Forgotten Realms.Yeah, because you can go through the Plane of Shadow to reach the alternate Prime Material Plane where Oerth is. Or because they were on the same plane back in 2e and writers just forgot the lore changes. Are you planning a FR jump or a jump for the entire 3e cosmology?>>98100183Ao is more of a background character and plot device, with very ill-defined powers. Elminster never fucked Ao nor did any of his friends ever inherit Ao's mantle. And more to the point, the game doesn't include rules for playing as Ao the way it includes rules for playing as a Greater God.
>>98100220>Uhh, no?You understand I'm talking about where Demons come from, yes? Where the original demons / Obyrith invaded. Where the Shard of Pure Evil fell.>Are you planning a FR jump or a jump for the entire 3e cosmology?I would presumably try to include what I know.>and writers just forgot the lore changes.Boccob's Blessed Book is an extremely known item in roleplaying. Elminster has one, I want to say. That leas charitable, though.
>>98100254>You understand I'm talking about where Demons come from, yes? Where the original demons / Obyrith invaded. Where the Shard of Pure Evil fell. This is all 4e stuff, not 3e.>Elminster has one, I want to say. That leas charitable, though.I'm pretty sure it's canon that Mordekainen and Elminster are friends, so there's an obvious reason why he'd have one. Still, Elminster is from the part of the setting branded Forgotten Realms, while Boccob/Tharizdun/et al are from the part with no branding.
>>98099889these seem really low, I would say being a god, much less greater, should cost much more than the starting budget.
>>98100322Being a minor god in d&d mechanically isn't that powerful desu. The divine ranks give you a bunch of really good all around buffs and useful powers but a decent level 20 character would still stomp the shit out of you if that was all you had.
>>98100300>This is all 4e stuff, not 3eI'm pretty sure nearly all that stuff is like AD&D. Literally what are you talking about?
>>98100322I'm GenericAnon. The difference between the starting budget and the full possible budget is only +600 from Drawbacks and you still need some points left over to buy your own Weave.>>98100411No. Prior to 4e Tharizdun was just some random god from Oerth. You may be confusing him with the Queen of Chaos, another iconic enemy from early DnD with great but vague connections to the primal forces of chaos and evil. And in any case, 3e made the bizarre decision to separate cosmologies. So anything Tharizdun did to chaotic evil plane next to Oerth named The Abyss has nothing to do with the completely different chaotic evil plane next to Toril which is also named The Abyss.
>>98100220>Ao is more of a background character and plot device, with very ill-defined powers. Elminster never fucked Ao nor did any of his friends ever inherit Ao's mantle. And more to the point, the game doesn't include rules for playing as Ao the way it includes rules for playing as a Greater God.You are technically correct but mostly wrong. There was a book about playing gods. It had rules for them and everything I believe it was Deities and Demigods. However that was not a forgotten realms book. I don't believe it had the Forgotten Realms pantheon. Now if there was a Forgotten Realms book about playing gods or that offered that as an option I will immediately withdraw my disagreement and wholly back including gods in a Forgotten Realms Jump.
>>98100553I knew the Obyrith came first and later invaded. I knew about the Queen of Chaos and her defeat. The wires getting crossed are my wanton love of the Far Realms, and confusing the lore related to Tharizdun finding it within when searching for more Far Realms lore. This is the second time my love of the Far Realms has gotten me into trouble. Last time I confused something to do with Psionics. In any case, this has nothing to do with anything that would have made it into the Jump.>>98100553>I'm GenericAnon>and you still need some points left over to buy your own Weave.Everything you make vexes me. That is such a stupid fucking thing to allow. I do not like you. Also, if you're a god of magic, you can make a new Weave. So, that doesn't make sense. Archmages and Dweomerkeepers can repair the Weave, and Initiates of Mystra don't even need it to cast spells.
>>98100873
I have decided.https://youtu.be/d7RPGWOp5DQ?si=0JpIUXKCNC5PHYDsMy next Jump will be a 3.5 Forgotten Realms Jump. It will not be done any time soon. I am probably going to work in a week or two, and will then be gone for 45 to roughly 90 days. From then, I will have to spend weeks making my body operable again. In the almost certain chance I don't get it done before I leave, it could be over 100 days before I can meaningfully even start working on it again.
>>98100376Yes, and level 20 are among the strongest guys around. Also divine ranks have among the salient abilities "cast any spell up to level 9 with a thought">>98100553This seems really dumb, being able to buy the weave AND being a greater god for 1600 CP seems beyond overpowered. You do you I guess.
>>98101446Good luck. Hope it turns out well.
>>98101557I was imagining The Jumper Weave as the 600 Mage Item, so just 1100 CP. As for "beyond overpowered", well Greater God who owns the Weave was Mystra's build and she didn't survive 10 years from when the game started.
>>98101446You and Aber-Toril deserve each other.
>>98094185Sincerely, congratulations. The only guy I'm in semi-contact with about TTRPGs told me the scene is basically unrecognisable at this point.
>>98103374I agree.
>>98103382It's different. I have friends online that I game with. I was trying to remind them that games other than Pathfinder 1e exist. We are playing Mutants and Masterminds 3e and they seemed to enjoy it. A Bunny Girl did a Leap kick in to a wanna be Goth's nuts and made him cry. It was just one of those moments you only get with RPGs.
>>98097666Someone was really autistic about how certain 'mancies should be able to do things that are outlined in the capstones, so here's a version 1.1 of the jump with a couple of notes added. This time with a pic for attention. Hopefully this doesn't unbalance everything.Enjoy!>https://files.catbox.moe/9n2qlm.pdf
Sourcing and describing 56 base classes with at least three sentences each for the newfags was a mistake, but 2/3rds done with classes. I'm leaving Sohei out because it was never republished in Forgotten Realms content as far as I can tell. It was republished in Dragon Magazine, but it's not specific enough for me to make that call. It's the only Oriental class that wasn't published again in mainline material. The Mandate of Heaven has been LOST
Outside of isekai or drop-ins, what jumps have backgrounds which make you explicitly from another time or dimension/universe? I'm making a list of jumps for a chain with anything STALKER-adjacent but it's still short, and it gets a lot shorter when I want to explicitly start out as an eldritch critter.
>>98106829If you take Artificial in my Tenchi Jump posted near the start of the thread, it makes you an in-universe Drop-In to the dimension you're now in for the Jump regardless if you didn't pick Drop-In. Tenchi is a multiverse.>I want to explicitly start out as an eldritch critter. Not quite the same tempo.
>>98106926Maybe 'anomalous' would be a better fit. More than just being a traveler between settings, having out-of-context powers or perks, I want to be something that gives the universe an error message when it tries to make sense of me.
I tried the Jumpchain + narrative rpg system + oracles thing. It's great and it's easy to add in the powers for the first setting I've chosen and this is the furthest I've gotten into these Jumpchain things.
>>98107658what Rpg system did you use and what are Oracles? is that an AI thing?
>>98107677This is repetitive I don't want to talk about that stuff.
>>98107685nta, but why would you claim a given thing happened if you had no intent to confirm/expound on that claim?
>>98107677iirc an oracle is just a rule system with dice and spreadsheets constructed as a means of playing a ttrpg solo without a dm, not an ai thing
>>98108497I don't need to prove anything. That says more about you than it does me.
Does Jumpchain count as progression fantasy or litrpg?
>>98109158It's a progression fantasy for most, hasn't been a litrpg for anyone but the likes of Shard and Blade who can actually write lit about it
>>98106829Elans from D&D and Pathfinder are a race of ageless psionic abominations. You start with a normal person with psionics. Then rip out the soul and hollow out the body. Then grab a prepared abomination that man was not meant to mess with and shove it into the soul slot. Then it wakes up with no human memories and just wanders around living life with a slight aura of otherworldly weirdness about it
>>98089868I just think she's hot.
Nobody plays my jumps.
>>98107677nta but I use AI for jumpchain roleplay and discussion. I give it my character sheet and then we just run scenarios together.
>>98108974Why do you think being questioned about a statement you made had anything to do with proving something? Couldn't it just be a genuine show of interest? No one called you a filthy liar or questioned your heritage. It was just a question to elaborate a bit. We are sure you fucked all the bitches and made a throne from the skulls of your enemies, that's standard around here, but it was just a question about the process.
>>98109772That sounds kind of awesome not going to lie. I kind of want to do a TTRPG Jumpchain game but I doubt it would go well. The cool thing about AI is it has no concept of cringe and doesn't judge.
>>98109765Which ones?
>>98109765Just like most jumpmakers. You need to learn how to make jumps only for yourself and detach from external validation.
>>98109765I'll tell you what, name some jumps that you made and I'll do a writeup for one. Maybe that will draw a little attention to it.

This is not going to be a regular thing for the foreseeable future, but it’s come to my attention that new information from Warhammer Fantasy: The Old World has had an impact on one of my jumps (Warhammer Fantasy: Grand Cathay). There is NO changelog necessary for a jump update because the new information does not change the parity of choices for the purposes of internal balance, it is just that a certain option is now stronger lorewise than I initially thought.>Feng Shui, the yin-yang based magic practiced by the shugengan, is now unambiguously Qhaysh aka High Magic instead of just nebulously eastern-flavoured balance magic >Furthermore the Dragon Emperor has sanctioned allowing the best Cathayan Astromancers to learn Feng Shui aka Qhaysh as practiced by ancient lizards too>The Cathayan Dragons still command magic better than their human subjects, implying they are even better at Qhaysh>The High Elves are, canonically, unhappy about this but there is little they can do about it. >Yes, Cathayan dragons can apparently teach humans a stable means of using Qhaysh simply as a part of their standard mastery of magical forces.
