>TQMy fleshcrafting work. It feels like the ultimate freedom to be or have whatever I can imagine.
>>98044456What the fuck do you think? Sucking down a 2L of carbonated blood from a collection of uncouth junkies. That's as close to "Happy" as I'm getting.Shit sucked long before the Embrace.
>>98042805>The Warriors earned us this reputation because the other clans were better at dying.pfft>>98044841lotsa caffeine with all the energy drinks these nites
>>98044456>TQMy memorabilia. From my original uniform to the gearshifter of my modle A, I have quite the collection of things thatvtie me to and reinforce my memories. Get statred early, young ones, the years are longer than you think.
>>98045675>Get started early, young ones, the years are longer than you think. But I'm not into dosh! I hate money, I loathe possessions. It's all just so crypto-fascist!
>>98046267He's talking about memories, not money. without physical touchstones or people to remind you of things what's lost may be lost forever.
>>98044456Hard to say. What even is happiness? Joy? That's just a good hunt but it doesn't stick. Contentedness? Most people don't think so, even if I'm mostly satisfied with my choices. I've been told in the past I have the restlessness of Odin. Also Odin is... Maybe my great grand sire? Odd thing. One of the newcomers insists on it for some reason. Maybe to soften the blow of joining on with the municipal project.
>>98044456>HappyFew things make me happy. I do take a certain amount of happiness roaming in nature. Whether on horseback, or running thru the dark Wilderness. Clan Weakness I guess. Even prowling alleyways and backstreets has its charms. >>98044489I could have helped EK, but I guess with youth comes folly. If you can think clearly back to your talk with the Assassin, pick out the dodges in her answers. It's when you ask something , and they either answer about something else or pivot and redirect the conversation entirely. Her conversation is full of them. Identifying those dodges and pivots is the basis of Kindred Verbal Combat and just as important to learn as actual combat. Literally imagine a huge alarm in your head going off>EVERYTIME >SOMEONE >LIESts a valueable skill for the living, moreso for the dead. Think of how useful it could make you, but only if you do it every time. >>98046267Brujah or Toreador? Nature's greatest Mystery.>>98046435My mythology may be weak but wasn't he an undead peepee licker. Couldn't make any seafoam of his own persay and was forever resigned to slurping it off the battledead? Strange story, no resemblence at all I'm sure. In other news Sin after gleefully explaining that the phone has all kinds of apps for all kinds of shopping gleefully spent some thousand dollars of my own money, before trying to kill me. >to her credit she did do better then the Boy Lust, using her Celerity to take my own knife from me first. Then, Poke poke poke. Just a needle doing its work. It actually took a chunk out of me, I was surprised. Still didn't help her. My fisticuffs are not exceptional but are more then equal to the task. The whole thing probably took a few minutes which I'm sure from her perception seemed like forever. I battered her (like cod as they say) and I didn't stop when she gave up. She'll heal come morning, the Boy Lust will drag in something for her to drink I'm sure.
>>98047323But as she currently moans softly from what appears to be a broken collar bone, dislocated shoulder, at least a couple of floating ribs, Some sort of strain across the hips and the very best of a spiral fracture of the Fibula that I've learned to give to cases that grind my gears. What do you do with incompetents and ingrates. I admit that we're in sort of a loop hole where Arlington is really too big to fall under Dallas or Fort Worth but doesn't have a declared and recognized Prince. Sin and the Boy have managed to get by, being inconsequential up to this point but I guess someone has to teach them manners, or at least basic respect for the traditions and I seem to be the only one here. I guess I could brand her again. But I have to go feed, Oh well. Maybe I'll learn something.
Our blood doll Wren has a problem with a stalker and, as ordered, I talked to Andrey about a solution. He's much smarter than he looks, and told me Zoryana can rewrite memories, we just need to let her help the stalker to forget about Wren. To think my first thought was beating some sense in the target and he had the more pacifist idea.I briefed the princess of Castle Errand on our plan and she wanted to know how she's get inside the stalker's place. "Wren is the best bait imaginable, and this is the best plan for everyone, she, the Masquerade, and the man himself...", I said. She scoffed, Andrey was like: "We're not ditching the job, we'll be behind the corner for anything that could happen." She rolled her eyes. He said: "What's the matter, are your wise guys too wise?" Zoryana slow clapped.Well I hope he can pass some of that wisdom to our future ghouls. And me. But before that he'll be teaching me some Sambo, the Soviet grappling art.In the event Wren becomes uncooperative or even has a panic attack, the princess can help with that. No wonder Andrey wants to involve her.>>98047323>pick out the dodges in her answersMrs. Halal is a charming, intelligent woman, I immediately felt I was out of my league.I reviewed the Q&A with Zoryana after posting it, her favorite is the one on Diablerie, going "from a systemic bad habit to half a millennium of alleged innocence and unfair treatment."My Regnant is looking for a way to "improve my social combat before the Harpies tear me apart."
>>98043849>of course they say that up front to avoid the old days. i uttered the sahada several times in my life when i was strong armed into fighting with the ashirra, only a few times less than being forced to take baptism when their enemies 'insisted' as a form of proof. no wonder the sabbat took off when they did...Well the context is quite different today, besides, the conversation took place in the US. I mean there is still some fighting taking place, but still.
>>98047323Wotan was everything, comes with being an god of transformations. 'Odin' was also apparently a Gangrel usurper of the traditional god Wotan and allegedly ran a death cult from northern Scandinavia. Until he suffered a defeat so grave it led to the Nordics getting christianized. If I reduced everything down to the weird dick stories there'd be a dozen ancients who'd share that. Which is... Odd.>>98047579I will not speak on it unless I get new confirmation but Halal has a mixed relationship with the deed. We are not above our own inherited 'quirks.' Nor is Zoryana.
>>98047343>I could have helped EK, but I guess with youth comes follyYou couldn't help pick someone's nose, fascist bootlicker. You're such a fuck up that a member of the psycho murder cult dismantled your entire effort with one sentence.>What do you do with incompetents and ingrates. You get them to be your toady, and then you give them a job in the Camarilla. You would know.
>>98048256>fascist bootlickerLet me guess: Anarch? How do you feel about the orange kine?

Fucker/Update when I'm back in that son of a bitch pulled a devious lick.
That's it? Less than an hour and Wren's nightmare is finished? What an impressive power.Zoryana cuddled the poor Wren for a little, told her to text us if she has any other problems, and once Wren kissed her and got out of the car, my Regnant tested me: "Why did I want this issue taken care of so urgently?"My tentative answers:"You're still a friend of womankind.""To protect our blood doll.""To make our blood doll more loyal.""To hide our haven from the prying eyes of a stalker.""You were testing me.""To save us from a possible Masquerade breach.""To make sure one or more Kindred weren't involved."She was pleased. Once she has a reasonably sized herd and the haven is ready, we'll think of how to interact with and fit in the broader Kindred society.I'm kinda nervous about it, we are new to the city and have zero political clout.
>>98049773Political clout is likeLikeStuff we make upYou just explode one primogen and suddenly bro your made a templar. or like- paladin? sharrif? sherrif? think it was the last one.Just pop somebody. :o3
>>98047865Fair Enough. I wish I had a list of godly pretenders sometimes, you never know when you're going to hit a member of the family. Odin a Gangrel, imagine. I would have pegged Zeus Lykaois maybe but it's hard to track down a lot of this obscure mythology, even when you have unliving members of those cults. Perhaps even worst for having unliving members of those cults. >>98048256You'll be pleased to know that she ran. She's good at that. Her and the Boy, gonna tough it out bonnie and clyde style. Don't worry, I will take exceptional care of them, I have a Job for them in mind after all. Once they learn their place. >>98049773I'd make that introduction to the prince sooner then later. Every body you pick up now that you're in the city has a marker on it, even if you can't pick up the scent of it. You'll continue to have zero political clout until the prince recognizes you, poaching is only going against your favor. I know your ahh princess has plans to emerge from a position of strength, but in terms of what she knows of the camarilla, you are actually just as knowledgeable as she is, more so as you haven't been taught wrong on purpose. >>98049923This is a good way to get dead, While primogens are a mixed bag, they most assuredly take interest when you pop one, and at least a few in any city are formidable. https://youtu.be/Si2WZEWrL70
Well I spent some time over the last few nights getting ready for the battles to come by making two more giga-crickets with spike launchers, and reinforcing the shells of the two giga-crickets I had left over. So right now as far as combat-capable pets go, I have four upgraded giga-crickets and one baseline wolf (Gwyllgi). The espurr is ill-suited to combat and will be staying at home. Feeling pretty good about myself. Depending on H0T's timeframe I might be able to build some more monsters for the coming shit-show.
The Winnipeg "Situation" (Recap 3)Fucking Romans.> Alright. Things happened very recently after long enough period of constant skirmishes and fresh anomalies I can't pin yet.> Last night started with a whole raid getting pulled on my Loups, seemed botched at first. > Or cartoonishly out of their depth.> Imagine this; you're on the fringe of the city, watching about a dozen Sabbat rolling up on motorcycles, right towards> They get down right near to your little thicket, and you watch as these idiots start pulling out guns and molotovs all while gabbing> Fucking baffled me but I still gave the order for the pack to surround as we couldn't let it fly even if it was a trap> One of the new Loups even pulled something really cool> He just faded right beside me, and appeared right in the middle of the Sabbat's number like a ghost > Slashed one of the lit molotovs. Turned to absolute Rötschreck murder orgy when I howled and my pack pounced from all angles> Don't remember much after joining the fray, the ones on oversight saw two or three escape (give or take some limbs)> Only understood why they were so brazen afterwords when we were doing intel recap at dawn> APPARENTLY, This was all planned. SOMEONE fed the Snake Charmers bad info> They were told that there were only two Loups present, one seriously injured, and they wanted to 'send a message'> And while the war-party braves were out, Pontius executed the rest of his “Keikaku” and marched the legion on the Charmer clubhouse > Only one person fought him, and Pontius curb-stomped him to hell> When it was clear no one else was willing to resist, he killed their old priest for good measure> Apparently he's proclaimed himself 'Archbishop of the Prairies' and has renamed the Snake Charmers as the “Foederati” > Pontius also elevated the Charmer who'd been his mole as their new Ductus; creatively named 'Vulpes Noctus'> I am not a Pict but I can feel an ancestral grudges rising
>>98051504> Naturally this turn of events has panicked everyone else in town> The Camarilla Expedition apparently smashed their panic button because of this happening beside 'other things'> On an unrelated note they had a little break-in and mysteriously our own blood bank got a little bigger> The Moctozumas have freaked the fuck out and relocated to a yet unknown location > And apparently 'Tlaloc is going nutty as Romero sheds his morals like a bra at Mardi Gras' (Pilk what the FUCK are you on about with these notes?)> We are reorganizing because while that was bad, we have no idea how they found where a lot of my people were holed up> I don't like that.> Other phenomena seen. Unexplained shadow people. Not-Things. Assiniboine forest is now a no-go-zone. > More updates as it goes.>>98049773The fun part is that "the nightmare never ends, it only goes to bed."Cat was whining that before she got to sleep the other day. Nice that thread got connected fast. For once. Now, as for politics? I'm still technically Autarkis so I'd say invest in either being useful or growing yourself some porcupine spines. Halal knows about both. The Nosferatu in the city are looking for support though last we were in town. Try starting there for leads.>>98051369We've got some time at least for you to make something special. Then again, it would be fitting for this Pontius creep to get nailed via giga-cricket spine. Something's coming. If you're good to join the fray when it starts I'd be happy to have you in.
>>98048842Hey, I tried playing the Cammie's game at first. But it didn't take long for me to pick up in the truth: people don't advance in the Camarilla by being good at their job. They advance by sucking up to the boss and putting their own self interest before everyone and everything. The goose-stepper is a perfect example because he:Doesn't realize that Knight is in the U.S. despite his first post being>Been working as handyman and driver for a rural mansion of some really out of touch, really old money folks who came to the US of A>Later directly states that they were in Virginia Hunt CountryDoesn't pick up on Knight being a shovelhead despite his fourth post being>One night I get hit in the head by this gangbangers laughing like hyenas. Next thing I know they're preparing for my live burial? Insists that Knight MUST be a Malkavian despite Knight's posts making it obvious that he's an Assamite because>He naturally knows Obfuscate>He naturally knows Celerity>They never let him drink directly from Zoryana when they gave him her vitae. In fact, they specifically RESTRAINED him. You know, like they knew he could lose control and drink her dry.And now, he just advised that that Knight should introduce himself to the Prince, even though Knight posted JUST TWO DAYS AGO that>The meeting with Prince Calbullarshi (hope I spelled it right) went well. I think. And this fucker is supposed to have been an Archon! He can't put two-and-two together when there's a huge neon sign that reads '4' right in front of his face! But here he is trying to offer Knight pearls of wisdom and saying 'he could have helped.' Don't make me laugh.>How do you feel about the orange kine?I could not give two fucks about kine politics. They're either just sheep for me to blend in with or walking blood bags to fill me up with.
>>98048851Fuck you rat face! I'm not some damn prissy Blue Blood!
>>98051516Hmm maybe I can figure out a way to speed my crickets up then. Right now they're little better than point-defense turrets since it takes them so long to waddle from place to place on their stubby little legs. I just pick them up and put them down elsewhere if I'm in a hurry. Or maybe just whip up more of them so I have more cannon fodder?>>98051851Touché. He's not got the best reading comprehension, but only younger kindred really got the benefit of a public education system.
>>98044456so this week in my currently local anarch pit of depravity investigating local issues we discscovred that some nossie had set up a cuck chairs and was wanking it inside everyone walls including some of the local cammies who were livid beyond belief when they found out it's finds of utter stupidity and comedic platinum like this that make my head scraching nail biting smile suppressing stiff fucking masked job as an investigator a genuine joy i think i genuinely regained some connection with my former humanity from all the laughter when it was time to let the mask off
>>98051860aint my fault you sound like a larper maggoti got high standards for anarchs, the ones here up in the mountains dont mince words. hell they usually just start with the machete >>98052423pick related, but you wouldn't believe the stories i hear from some of the voyeursand usually most aren't dumb enough to install fuckin chairsover confident schlub
>>98051504>>98051516Alright so doing some math and we got about 20 Sabbats who want to kill us? I'm getting the fertilizer special ready, tell me when you need it.
>>98053934Do you have a few drops of anything that might explode on impact? I have an idea for my spike-launchers.
>>98055017Shit yea man! We talking conventional things with blast-caps or the stuff 'folks like me' can make up in the ''lab?'' Still ain't been able to recoup my stocks after we lost everything in NYC, but either works. First category is the most reliable but the 'special' stuff can really fuck a blood sucker up. Get me? Fucking A- I hate that v5 is the one that's got thin-blood alchemy. Plus that TBA is all over the place. Rules as written it ranges from useless to comically broken. Back-converting is a pain but its worth it.
>>98055440The second one. I'm going to make some hollow spikes out of bone and put a little bit of whatever you whip up inside. That way when it penetrates the target it will explode and shatter like a frag grenade.
>>980488511815.I was in New York, celebrating Comadore Decatur's victory and drunk off my ass on good rum, when my sire tackled me while I was wandering around some back alleys and singing. In 1856 let's see... Ah yes. I was quite landlocked at the time, the foothills of Appalachia. An Abolitionist group from New York was paying me to guide runaways through the mountains. Pay was good, though I didn't care one way or the other for the cause. My secretary thinks I should have omitted that last part.
>>98055519Aye bro. Now I hope that folks recognize I'm a valuable part of the war effort and I get like- a key to the city. Shoot me an address and I'll get you a twenty five pack. Dead-drop location. Somewhere you knows safe. My lazy ass wants it nearby, but I'm willing to drive a few hours so we ain't screwed together.
>>98055838Right on, I owe you. Does a free fleshcrafting session or fleshcrafted pet sound good? I DMed you the location.
>>98055849Based. We'll work out the details when we double-dead the local creeps. But if I get got (which better be something cool after the shit the Cammies and the fuckin appalachians put me thru) make a cool lil frog for me. not like a giant man-eater. Just a cool little dude.
>>98055903>make a cool lil frog for me. not like a giant man-eater. Just a cool little dude.I totally can, I specialize in making cool little dudes.
>>98055798hnnnngh. that'd be... november? after the north african shit yea? remember reading about that as a snot nosed bratgod that was a while back feel like sharing about the days beforesee when i was human i left the north to toy with those aristocrat vermin down south. pretended to be a fire-eater some days, got invited to plantations, collected donations for the "genteel" cause, and helped with escapes after on the way out. wasn't in it for the money, even if running with genteel bastard money would have set me up for life. was to take those dumb bastards down a peg. made some enemies. punched that wig-wearing gnome ruffin in the neck. made some friends if some of those folks made it to canada.now heres why i'm telling you this. i had a trunk with about 38,000 usd when i left jacksonville. my son of a bitch sire, probably going back to the states stole it, and that kind of money was life changing. probably about 2 million in modern cash. meanwhile i had to start from fucking nothing in dominica. you got any intel on a nosferatu coming into that kinda cash?
>>98051851Oh wow, it's like I'm famous. I'm sorry I didn't predict that there was a hidden malkavian with a collection of relatively rare vitae to make the dots make sense. >Oh wait, I kinda did. And I'm sorry I didn't give Knight my full attention>Despite him insulting me by refusing my generous aid and shacking up with some godforsaken russians, as if that's never bit anyone in the ass. I surely should have given him my full attention, Yes this beggar, need better. This Prodigal Idiot Knight Savant just deserves better. You didn't study social studies in life did you?And you're right. They didn't hire me for my charming personality or my dazzling acumen. Like my sire, my masters in the Camarilla wanted just one thing. A soldier, But I'm pretty good, I have to admit that your posts have been keeping me company like Sin in. Took me a whole night to wrangle her that time. Let's just say, she won't be trying that again. She's pouting now, Won't even put on the clothes she ordered. She keeps shrieking on about My Rights. It's so tiresome. I am not even very old by my impresison of things, but this whole 'Gimme Gimme, My Rights, My Rights, You can't do this. You can't keep Boy Lust Staked until I act right, someone help help.' No dignity of place, even her suffering is shallow. She cries not for Boy Lust but herself. Imagine embracing just so you can keep lying to yourself about your capacity for love. But as always, I apprecaite the enthusiasm. I'm sure I'll make many more mistakes for you to catch up on. I'll try not to take too brands on Sin's hide for her lessons. Sinx2 btw. Yes,
>>98056104I haven't but then, I've only been Prince here for about a year. To further compicate maters, I have good relations with the Nosferatu, I made extinsive use of their information networks to build my influence in my bid for Praxis. Even have one as my sherif, though he's seven feet tall with one foot long legs andvsix foot long arms. Makes the whole blue skin thing less noticible, really. The Primogen got off easy, comparatively. He can even be seen in public, claiming "severe Plaque Scorissis." I could act to open a channel of communication between yourself and your clanmates, if you wish.
>>98051516>Nosferatu To prepare me before meeting them, Zoryana filled my head with instructions, made me watch The Elephant Man movie. Tho I'd swear I saw her grin during Merrick's mistreatment, she cried when he said: "I'm not used to being treated so well by a beautiful woman."I put on the clothes of the night of my Embrace, and used a taxi. Never really saw them down in the tunnels, felt like talking to some sarcastic off-screen voices. I asked if anyone was home, one said: "No." I told them my sire and 2 adoptive sires died. "Oh, cry me a f****** sewer."But when I showed them Obfuscate they took me way more seriously. "You can impersonate somebody with that. Try it." Don't ask me how I turned into this aged-up version of my high school crush. The sewer fille with whistling, catcalls, clapping and cackling, until one went: "Enough."The Nossies' main problem is the kine's plan to redesign the infrastructure down where they live, and their designated lobbyist above ground, a Ventrue, is facing a "mid-unlife crisis."Normally they'd just use blackmail to motivate him, but they think they'd just lose a valuable asset by pushing him over the edge. I asked what am I supposed to do about it. The answers were scoffing, farting, "Your feminine wiles, Cleopatra."Zoryana had my body thoroughly washed by Lyuba. I debriefed her. Huge smile on her face.
I miss him. I miss him. I miss him. I miss him. Why did he go? Where? He said I'd look nice if I dyed my hair and came to visit. He made me fracture and break and be so much more than I was.am I not good enough anymore? if he doesn't respond to my dm's I am walking into the sun. I actually mean it this timei miss him
>>98058103Ignore the weepy slut.Cool BBS nerds. If you ever decide to get out of your swamp ass dens, come out to play. I'm tired of sitting around listening to whining, anyone got anything fun going on? Come on boys, I want to dance.
>>98058174You should head over to Winnipeg then. Looks like the place is about to turn into a warzone.
>>98057083Carrying on the Jacksonville tradition of Nosferatu sheriffs, eh? Hopefully this one isn't a Ventrue in disguise like the last one
>>98057083>To further compicate maters, I have good relations with the Nosferatu, I made extinsive use of their information networks to build my influence in my bid for Praxiswell obviously ye did youre now prince wa he ha ho hobut being serious id appreciate it. dont think i need to tell you but our politics are- kinda a pain in the ass. theres a reason ive never made a full proper attempt to search.take SCHRECKNET for instance. i been a big proponent and supporter since the 0.4 nights. even doin all this, the technophobic dens might as well be another dimension.and if you got a place that is one dickhead's personal fiefdom? well. fuck me i guess. gotta do a whole song-and-dance to get a line going.pretty sure i know your sherif tho. tell him 'zoe-v. is doing well.' he'll know the deal.>>98057462god you two are fucked in the headwe got even worse than just corrupt municipalities who don't know how to build a sewer system for everyone. big-easy is one bad drought away from not having a river, and one flood away from being swallowed by the gulf o mexico. again. their plans are in theory meant to fix things for a few decades, but this shit might be a lost cause long term.>>98058174this is the peace that all true sewer gators strive for boy. and dont take the name of the bbs in vain.but, if your looking to get yourself killed? our girl becket is going on a jyhad for bum-fuck canada, things are getting busy out on the pan-hand, cali is cali and apparently the sect-war is getting nasty out in england. rats fighting over a corpse. someone always wants someone else dead fledgeling. you can smell it yourself.>>98058103god we got any malk advisors to lick this one?
>>98052024I'd avoid messing with them too much. As,>(1) Mèo and Gün both adore them as they are>(2) Despite the changes you've essentially just made a giant cricket in the spiritual sense. Startled the Loup Shaman who was expecting the worse. So quantity might be the optimal approach for them.>>98053934Fine, just keep this in mind: we are trying to establish a free-town. Not blow it up. So shape your fucking charges.>>98058310>>98058574Winnipeg was already a skirmish area, we're just cutting through the bullshit.>>98058103No matter how bad it seems it can always get better.
>>98058574Well now, this is a surprise. My Secretary was succsesful in peircing the Nosferatu's usual recalcitrance in speaking of internal politics to outsiders. Now, our undercity was built by two fellows by the names of Henk “Gaterboy” Kersey and Tristan Davies. Recently, a third as yet unidentified Nosferatu has appeared insisting he played a significant part as well and demanding recognition. Though it woukd seem there was never any mention of a third founder before this fellow popped up, despite a number of Nosferatu suddenly claiming to remember his contributions. It seems there is a Schisim brewing beneath my feet. You might need to tread carefully, though the Sherrif does indeed remember you, so there is that.
>>98058992>Startled the Loup Shaman who was expecting the worse. That's quite surprising. I'm not sure how that's even possible with how many little crickets I use, but I'll take any win I can get.>Mèo and Gün both adore them as they areWell, quantity it is. Though maybe I can just tweak the muscles in their hind legs just a little to give them some more "oomph" on their jumps? It would get them around faster, and also give them a surprising melee attack with their huge bite force.Oh and good news: the explosive spikes work. So I'm pushing live mini-frag grenades at 500 feet per second now. I think we'll be able to fuck most targets to death in one shot. Just gotta watch for celerity-users as they'll be nigh impossible for the crickets to track.
>>98059190If I had to guess it would be that crickets are fairly simple. When you meld humans, you distort them not only on a physical level, but also a spiritual one.It can make Tzims 'visible' to Loups. Beyond the Pale Doors, what we do in the flesh has a very visible impact there. But for some fucking reason with the giga cricket. The Gricket. It's just... Bigger? I don't really know why, although if I hat to take a wild swing insects might have a degree of flexibility. I've heard stories of 'Spider' skin changers (like wereolves to wolves) that can turn from men into giant arachnids and then into veritable swarms of spiders. Might apply a similar principle here.
The princess came back from her meeting with the Ventrue referent of the Nosferatu, he'll join us as the third Kindred in our little coterie. The guy, let's call him Errand Chancellor, was embraced in his forties, mostly for his ability to navigate bureaucracy, and now he's feeling unimportant in his clan, but the fact that he's meeting and helping the new blood is already improving his mood.Zoryana laughed like Risitas high on laughing gas as she gave me this summary of the political situation:- The Prince pretends to be in charge- The Primogens pretend not to be almost-Barons- All Tremere had gone rogue before settling in here, including the Prince himself- Everyone pretends not to interact with the assorted necromancers and voodoo experts- New Orleans has TWELVE (12) Elysia, more than it has clans, more than New York despite having a fraction of the population of the Big Apple- A few of the Elysia are half actual Elysia, half Domains, and all invite-only vanity projectsThen Zoryana asked our man, if New Orleans was a social experiment, in which some reforms by the more moderate Anarchs were implemented within the Camarilla. Chancellor said he never thought of it like that, nor did the administration have any such deliberate plans, but she has a point. "Just another night in the New World." >>98058574>god you two are fucked in the headRude.>this shit might be a lost cause long termSound like a succinct description of New Orleans. - Errand KnightWhy wait for the next drought or flood to tear the city to pieces, when Kindred politics is already taking care of that so beautifully?I could battle tooth and nail in this bucket of crabs for a modicum of status, and the rest of the Ivory Tower wouldn't even notice. The Big Easy is neither big nor easy. - Zoryana, Princess of Castle Errand
>>98051504And this is precisely why despite sharing a certain fixation with the Sabbat, I avoid working with them! Well, this and the fact that I think some cells may still be upset the Keno Hill one got blown up, figuratively, but mainly it's this suicidal inclination of theirs.I can understand, if not quite relate, wanting to earn your spurs by slaying a wolf, they're ferocious, dangerous, deadly, and thus quite the trophy to bag. But to go against two of them, even if one's wounded? As a group of twelve, with Molotovs and guns, nothing particularly special? That's just absurd. It's as if the average shovelhead never hears anything but vague rumours about 'Lupines', the silly yet persistent sort that suggests that they're mindless beasts with nothing special to them, shrug and believe those rumors wholesale and earnestly, and never even questions those rumours. Surely at least at some point a rational formerly-human being ought to go, 'you know, I don't even know what my clan really can do beyond petty tricks and the occasional dumpster-toss, what if the Lupines are scarier than they're described'. I can't imagine trying to wage a war on the Ancients with allies like this.

I’ve got a problem, figured I should ask the “tenured” vampanons. Lost a good friend last month out of nowhere. He’d been trying cooky methods to cure himself. >>98078388We all talk like we are tough shit- but actual monster hunters are legit some of the most deranged people out there. They are weaker than you, usually totally ignorant of the real ongoings of the world, armed with whatever they can muster. And this freak, because they're either vengeful or religious or psychotic or they wanna make money is going to 'make the attempt.' Even if only one in a hundred of those 'hunters' survive an opening encounter that one will learn. That makes them an exponential problem because there will always be more of them and the ones that survive that opening cull are unhinged.

You must first perceive them and see what they want. It could be living sacrifice, hell likely to be so if in Mexico, or could just be an offrenda of sweet breads and wind chimes. Maybe animal skins hung to dry and tan over a small fire. Spirits are weird.GOOD NEWS though, if you manage to take just your first step in the way of fire, you essentially lose the rotschreck. Around the same level of fire fear as when you were living, I’ve found. >>98071560Okay but how does one tattoo their heart? Would that count as being staked? Can we get tattoos on our hearts? I must consult the great library! Also yes, crabs are fren. Birds too.
>>98078388I'm not sure what part of us living in secrecy and with strict rules against revealing ourselves made you think we were the tip top of the equation. No, we are not. Humans, can and do kill us, even eldars with startling frequency. The rules were made to protect idiots like your friend (and the rest of us). It's a bit like asking if a Horse is faster then a human. Easy yes of course a Horse is Faster. But if you extend that race even to distances of 20 or 30 miles. Suddenly humans start winning. Humans are an endurance hunter and have a real knack of turning everything into an endurance test. So yeah, stay frosty. Get a guy on the inside if you can help it. Don't play with your dinner. And for the love of god.>RESPECT THE TRADITIONS>>98078002Like this fool. >Oh I want to be on top, my princess on topAre you going to be the courageous knight that kills wights and tells princesses exactly how muc hthey don't know?>NoTo be fair, it's not entirely his fault. He's partially addled, but its a good example. A bloodhunt has been called, Your absence will be noted Errandboy, I would tell your princess to stop thinking that she's nobility and start remembering that our kind have exceedingly long memories and carry grudges for just as long.
The Winnipeg "Situation" (Recap 5)> Baron Trelaine has decided the best course of action for furthering the Anarch Cause here in Canada is joining the Camarilla> Allegedly he has something of value. Enough the Prince cut him a deal to bring him and his last gang-mate into their camp for the time being.> Which is just...> Great.> Currently it seems we are reaching a point of political stability, for what little it is worth> Right now might be the most peaceful Winnipeg has been in a while, at least at night.> Prince Maria Pilsudski has managed take our intrusion to put together an actual coherent movement under her thumb> Even if they lack the numbers they have the capital and the resources to be a big pain in our backsides and could reclaim the town for the Camarilla> All while 'Archbishop' Pontius has consolidated a frothing roiling chaos into being an actual war party> His only rivals are Incognito and the cult of personality has taken off > To make matters worse our little Latin leech has gotten some very dangerous allies> As we have regrettably mentioned the man somehow got himself an actual magician under his thumb> Said individual we shall call for our purposes 'Mister Grey' because he dresses like a Man in Black under the Influence of Ket> To make Mister Grey an even bigger pain in the ass we've only noticed him existing because he only 'appears' if near a vampire> Or through Loup tricks I won't elaborate on
>>98079649> Somehow this isn't the most dangerous asset Pontius has got especially in conjunction with other elements that have come to light> Mine aren't the only Loups here, apparently. > To those online who paid attention to the NYC thing, think about that menace. But much MUCH worse. Those are a pale imitation of this.> And there are at least two of them.> To top it all off Pontius has been building up a serious ghoul network, although odds are the Camarilla's is much bigger> They're currently circling in the city now, transplants from all over in homeless camps and in business places eyeing each other up> Leading us to an awkward stalemate. > Our Coalition can't move in as we are purposefully spaced out and in our element, which means they also can't attack us> Pontius and the Prince Pilsudki both have secure positions, but going for an attack will prompt their counterpart to act or worse reveal their locations > So all of us are waiting for the someone to blink, even if that 'blink' could be an ambush> Judging from what I've learned, when this starts it isn't going to end until one sect or the other is eradicated > The only upside to this turn of events is that it rattled the hell out of my allies who were dragging their feet> Actually having insane servants of the Hungry God makes it apparent how small beans we all are> Can't tell if the worry or something real is giving me the 'I'm being watched' feeling> More to come. Is mis Pictah, tha graenn agm ar na Romni
>>98078237>>98078582Bros, bros, please, we did join the Hunt! It's just that the first thing in the evening was to fortify the haven, make sure everybody was safe, and have more kine going to sleep so we wouldn't worsen the situation with Masquerade, and of course, a briefing! Zoryana said: "Defense wins championships." and she wasn't gonna go on a Blood Hunt without a plan.Once we were ready, she drove me in her 911 with the lights off and I used Quietus for the first time. We spotted a handful of motocross bikes chasing somebody along the intracoastal waterway, very close to home actually, and I hit what looked like a running zombie with an incendiary round. It was very weird not hearing any part of the rifle but I had muscle memory to guide me. The thing I hit survived and ran in the opposite direction, the riders formed a circle around it. The Princess did the closed fist gesture to hold fire, so we waited.10 minutes later the Prince texted us, said the Brujah Primogen got the kill. Hurray. I don't give a darn about any recognition, I just wish somebody told me I hit the right guy, and I didn't contribute to an episode of anti-Samedi violence happening under the cover Blood Hunt. Either way I'm sure the Samedi are on thin ice after this.Another question is: what if there were no motocross riders and that thing that survived that shot found us first?Every night I thank God for Zoryana and her galaxy brain.
>>98079649>Even it's enemies are the biggest promoters of the CamarillaTruly Amazing. How many barons do you think Anarchs have to see do this dance, to realize they were always ever just in it for themselves and the lower ranks were just useful idiots?

They're good, even got through Colma, CA with most of their appendages intact. Widow's still got it webbed up somewhere around here; ever the romantic.
>>98081297>And whoever wins gets to meet 'n greet Cardinal Strathcona.I forgot to mention the ol' KKK (Kyle the King of Kanata), thought he was a given. Dude is fucking terrifying, I ran into him once, as a mortal, didn't know who or what he was. I almost pissed myself, probably an effect of presence on a mortal? I'm lucky he didn't eat me. Even as a kindred now, I don't want to run into that guy ever again. He's not going to let a power vacuum form in Winnipeg.>>98079649>>98079660Do you know what's going on in the other nearby cities like Selkirk or Portage? The Sabbat might send reinforcements from there, or are they sitting on their hands?
>>98081461Yeah, but he'll also have an interest in an Archbishop who's been killing his way up on the sly. Or new Camarilla Neighbors. Or, especially; a Breton Autarkis who managed to play those two against each other. And that's before he hears about the wizard and werewolves.
>>98080214>QuestionPerhaps you wouldn't be with us. Perhaps you'd commit a cardinal sin. You never know. And it is better not to fall into fear.>>98080517>to realize they were always ever just in it for themselves and the lower ranks were just useful idiots?Functionally, I could use that statement for 75% of Blood society brother.>>98081178Trying not to Rump. And thanks for the vote of confidence.>>98081297>>98081461Don't remind me, my time last in Quebec was at least boring, but the first time was... Pretty bad. Strathcona's resources are limited though. The constant shitfest back and forth bickering between East Canada and Central Mexico (beside the absolute fecklessness of the state-side cardinals) was what let this situation get as bad as it was in the first place. Bonhomme's Bastards probably made it back home and told the packs, so the old Fox will be in the know now. For what little its worth. Here is hoping we are well enough to have that awkward conversation, when the time comes. As for Selkirk and the PLP nïa? Actually got word on them, seems a number of the Sabbat in Selkirk left, either to join Pontius or to get out of the province. And the Nos pulled an ambush on the ones who remained. Chuck has been made an honorary Nossie and the town is in their hands now. PLP Also had that one Sabbat Tlaloc kept there on watch who "died." The way it was reported makes it seem she either left or defected to the local Anarchs.
>>98081178>>98076869Take it from me, if anyone is bragging about beating a pack of nicktukus with their bare hands, they’re lying or a gen 4 or less absolute sicko. I had them out gunned, and out magicked, and only managed to take 2/5. They wiped my ghoul and his nagaraja tryst out within seconds. I only survived because I’m willing to incinerate everything and had a normally inaccesible cellar beneath 10ft of earth. I do not fuck with those guys and anyone wearing a suit of fucking full plate is getting capped with a blessed peach stake, just in case the chinese aren’t lying about Jiangshi. >>98081686Geez Canuckistan has gone to hell. I despised the cold as a mortal. Allergic to it even. Never imagined it was that bad though.
>>98081686>Strathcona's resources are limited thoughHe can afford a plane ticket and has the chops to persuade Pontius to wash his hands of the matter. Resources won't keep him out of Winnipeg, not for long. No. I think by now he also knows there are Werewolves and a Mage in town, so he's going to keep things simple, and wait and watch. The minute those pieces are off the board, he'll show, he's had 500 years to get really good at showing up st the worst possible time, at least for his enemies. At which point, he'll keep things simple, by killing everyone.
>>98081686>75% of blood societyHa, I knew I liked you for a reason. So are you guys just holing up up there, or do you reasonably have a chance of winning before say the year is out.
>>98081840So we're all just dead then once all this is over, fantastic. I was really looking forwards to experiencing what kind of video games the kine could make 100 years from now, never going to see it though.Best I go out fighting, I'll probably have to shed my human form completely and turn myself into a walking masquerade breach of bone and spikes to even have a fighting chance. I can shed it all afterwards if I survive.

>>98081178This whole Nos power struggle is ckearly going to get out of hand, so I'm going to distract them with a classic poisoned gift. There's a large building that is unclaimed as of yet. It's condemned, has a veiw of the I-10 I-95 merger, and has quite a few urban legends thst should keep most lookie loos away and allow a shrug to explain away the disappearances of thrill seekers.Yes. I'm going to give bulding no.4 to the Nosferatu. It's sometimes called the Devil's School.
>>98081840Nah, the North has always had a certain tension to it. Here be dragons.Potentially literally. Sorcerer clocked onto an allusion to the 'Zymei' and he screamed about dragon blood.>>98081884Perhaps. Perhaps not. But Pyrrhus he is not, and I doubt he'll leave Quebec vulnerable over Winnipeg. Not unless... Well. I guess we'll see if Pontius is as ambitious as the Moctozumas claim. And if the Cardinals in Mexico are so stupidly ambitious to support his wider plots. >>98081950I doubt this will last that long with everyone pulling out their stops and the Assiniboine menace creeping closer.Be remiss of me to ignore my hand in all this though. But Pyrrhus he is not, and I doubt he'll leave Quebec vulnerable over Winnipeg.Well I may be jumping the gun then. I am terrified of the guy though. Since before I was embraced, so if we have to fight him one day I'd rather be very, very prepared. But if he's never going to show up that's a very good thing. I have never felt more fear, living or dead, than over that Scottish guy with the tribal dragon tattoo on his face.>Crash course in the Protean.Whatever you can show me would be appreciated, right now I can only turn my eyes all wolfy.

Sigh. We got summoned by the Primogen Council, just what we needed... To the Orpheum Theater we go.
>>98085955The idea is even if they know, they won't be able to refuse. I make a dog and pony show at Elysium and present building four to the Nosferatu Clan through their primogen. What, is he going to refuse territory that isn't the sewers? Then he offers a floor to each of those three. And the good veiw of the merger of two of the largest interstate highways on the East Coast. They simply cannot afford to allow their rivals to monopolize THAT source of information, while the rest of the Clan cannot afford to allow them to fight so feircely they risk the Masquerade in such a busy place.I should have them over a barrel and owing ME a favor to boot.
>>98086100Classy place, not a bad seat in the place.
>>98072654>is it a cultural thing for Nossies speak in parables, metaphors and enigmas?Quite so! We're a clan that is usually fairly reliant on information as a trade good, weapon and asset, giving out any for free has to be an event unpleasant enough for you that you're compelled to just pay for it instead. Also we are wired to be petty and annoying, but that is honestly true of many other clans, and is perhaps just something innate to humanity that is brought up by the power-switch inherent to being a Nosferatu who suddenly is useful and valuable, and has something the opposition wants, and not merely a subject of scorn and disdain.
What the fuck are even Gangrels man?Last night the Ductus (CAN I PLEASE get what an actual name is for you- the tag 'HOT GAROUS IN YOR AREA' is killing me- ma'am) called us together. The Cat creature did not take part in the lesson, nor did I. Though our Gargoyle Sibling and the young Dragon participated. Decided to skip my studies because while I have mastered communication, my lighter has proven to be... Difficult. She started off with the usual stuff. The normal things to get across the disciple, the crazy wee woo crystal things that I still don't fully get, even if I'm starting to pin the origin point of it. Then she RIPS HER FUCKING SKIN OFF to show the wolf-monster hiding underneath. And sure yes very happy my new packmate is getting into contact with their great great wild grandsire's roots and we are finally doing something PRODUCTIVE for our host but what even the fuck is this shit? This stuff is giving me a complex. Worse than turning a corner outside and seeing a fucking Loupine walking out of the woods like he owns the place.
>>98088766Yeah, I know gangrel gets a reputation for being almost not actually vampires but at the end of the day, yes we're dracula's too? Protean is a hell of a drug, and one that many of us avoid. Given how body shaping it is, I do sort of wonder if Vicissitude isn't descended (or corrupted) from Protean. Good for Party Tricks I guess.
>>98088766It was eye-opening. I thought protean was all shapeshifting and then she pulled her skin off to reveal the beast was already there under her skin. I don't even know what to think about it anymore, but I'd be lying if it didn't give me some vicissitude ideas.>>98089728>I do sort of wonder if Vicissitude isn't descended (or corrupted) from ProteanThat's what some people say, others say it's a spiritual disease from an alien plane of existence.

This Primogen Council really felt like it ran us through a series of "s**t tests", to borrow Zoryana's words. My sorry excuse of an investigation.Zoryana: Good evening. The Prince sent me to investigate your conflict with the Samedi, may I hear your side of the story?Sal: It's none of your business.Z: The situation is awkward and unpleasant enough. It can only worsen if I return empty handed.S: Ms. Lianhua! Can you talk some sense into this Cammy chick?Lianhua: Maybe. Make me some dinner. What's the matter?Z: Your conflict with the Samedi.L: What about it?Z: A Blood Hunt was called on a Stiff wight.L: Ask them.Z: That's a parallel enquiry. Why do you fight?L: Some people refuse to grow up. Your Elder and Methuselah owned slaves. In year 2000 there were more slaves in the world than the amount of Africans deported to the Americas in the Trans-Atlantic trade. Do the Stiffs car about that? Should we?Z: Is the casus belli a resentment over slavery?L: The Clan of Death is now Clan Hecata. All necromantic bloodlines should join it.S: Ms. Lianhua, your octopus.L: What took you so long to put a live animal on a platter? Want some?Z: Your dish looks cold. Are the Samedi necromancers?L: Some are. The bloodline exists because of necromancy.Z: The Samedi claim the wight wasn't one of their own. Was it a recent creation? I heard of a Japanese lady visiting this place, but you are Chinese.L: And you are not American, you're intelligent. Will you fight an Elder who's almost 450?Z: My Sect is older.L: Your Prince isn't, his status in the Sect is nonexistent even in his own Domain. Your Sect and us had a Promise of noninterference after the Anarch Revolt, rumored to expire in two years. Can we renew it if my Domitor is on the Red List? Well... Well. Miami, Naples, Tampa...The reports are a bit outlandish. All I really know right now is many higher ranked kindred from several domains on Florida's extensive coastlines are dead or presumed so and the attackers struck and faded before the Camarilla could make a proper counterattack. They cut it fine, forces were being mustered, but...
>>98097714so continues the jyhad.at face value anyways. florida seems like ground zero for any attack performed by anyone looking to deal with kindred. or broader ambitions.
>>98098822Just so. Mic was supposed to be this painfully bisexual guy, but even he didn't find me to his liking? I dunno what to feel honestly.I don't wanna repeat the lecture about slavery with all the Caribbean accents, tl;dr - the Giovanni want the Sams to become their underlings, wherever there's slavery or death the Giovanni are there, and for them Sams, or "Nasyon san an", it's liberty or death. Man I know the Nosferatu have it bad but these guys are something else, they're like intelligent zombies and smell horrendous. The oldest of the Samedi, Herbert, repeated that the wight was not part of their little community. >>98099511Maybe I'm taking the wrong tact with this, I think my impatience with Sin may be rubbing off on how I've address you. So let me try to make clear by way of example what I'm trying to tell you. I truly believe that all vampires would be better off cooperating. It's why I promote the camarilla so much. It's why young vampires have to be educated. Its easier on everyone is people cooperate and frankly, the requirements are not much. Stay in your lane, Don't bring unwanted attention, maybe give a day or two of labour every now and then when asked. Don't eat your neighbors (your kindred neighbors). I don't think any of this goes contrary to the other very good life advice I have which is:>Don't trust other vampiresWhich includes princes. The prince taking an interest in new fledgings can be a grand thing, but it can also be a terrible thing. You have to remember that you being a young, stupid and expendable proxy is not a super safe thing for you, even if its a rung up the ladder of power. You have to ask yourself if that ladder is worth climbing and at this moment of time. The snakes are followers of set or setties. They are another clan of forsaken and Egyptian or Asian I guess? blood sorcerers and they have their own version of protean or animalism that focuses on snakes, thus the name. Similar to the Samedi they aren't cammie vampires, they all do their own thing which is generally be a huge pain in the ass. And as for Literal Snakes, yeah sometimes literally giant snake vampires, I don't even know how they got into the Khyber Pass but sure enough. So what I'm trying to say is that, your prince (a middling prince to my recollection, not someone with the huge resources you would expect out of a bigger cities), who is caught up in his own power struggles, is asking you to do a bunch of dangerous shit that has real risks even for seasoned vampires, let alone fledges like you. So why isn't he spending and sending his circle instead of you?
>>98092422Try and record the weeping, see if it can be deciphered or interpreted. Ghost ships making seers go mad never are a good thing. Happens sometimes. >>98090051Being mad is kind of most of what I do with my time. I'll try, anyways, just because you're hard to say no to.>>98099897What'd you qualify letting somebody drink and koldun to point and laugh at the results as? Frenemy? Best friend?
UpdateI have never felt a hangover like this. I do not regret my actions as clearly the courage of SICK BOOZE was a good kick in the backside. I seem to have summoned a familiar entity. According the the Malkavian we offered it a drink and it has agreed to serve me. Fortunately it does not demand Vitae infused blood. So I will not need to rush down the works of the Shadow-Weavers in SMALL GERMANY or that fucking cannibalizing gorilla in the ass end of California. At the moment this spirit is... Not particularly useful as it is even more hungover than I, but int time- no doubt! It shall serve me as a tutelary force.>>98100757I am glad I finally got a chance to try it. Would it be pathetic to admit I'd never gotten properly smashed before this? My thanks.

Good evening, fellow Kindred,Against my better judgment but at the advice of one of my dear friends I have decided to embark upon a safari into this, "internet." Though many of my associates and employees are often, "surfing," it (I am told this is the colloquial term) I myself do not use it directly myself very often. But I am in possession of a, "lap-top computer," at the moment while I am visiting Los Angeles. I have decided while I am unoccupied at my present dwelling perhaps to take up correspondence. To answer the question posed to me directly, introductions being made (though I am told anonymity is a valued piece of this internet culture, one I can see the virtues of) I would now answer: my home. It is a family one that has been our's since my grandfather's time, reaching it's current scale in the early-middling years of the nineteenth century. Even now I do so miss it and my beloved; the way the moonlight and stars shine across the black waters, with fireflies making it as if I am sailing across the firmament itself with a company of shooting stars. To say nothing, of course, of my dear beloved who awaits my return and my faithful servants therein.I shall now browse this, "thread," of your's and hope to find companionship as I have no current engagements with which to busy myself.Your's Truly,~The Colonel
>>98046435Sir,Your username is quite vulgar, though I shall admit the old soldier within me finds it humorous. My Nosferatu allies have lead me to understand such humor is as normal here as my form in digital correspondence is archaic. For the All-Father to be your great grand sire would be quite a fantastical thing. It is many moons since I have read Sturlusson's works (do pardon if my spelling is incorrect) but I do not believe he was Kindred. Is your newcomer perhaps a Malkavian? It seems like one of their portentous insights. I would take it as flattery for now.Your's,~The Colonel
>>98055798Leatherneck,A Marine I surmise. I would certainly enjoy hearing of your exploits with the Commodore. Your time in the 1850s is quite close to home - I was born in 1832 myself in Louisiana. The war in which I am assuming you were engaged was in quite recent memory then. Perchance were you involved in the War Between the States? If so there is a grim chance we might have met before in less cordial circumstances. Is that sketch attached of you? I regret to say I cannot enclose my own image; they are quite hard to find and I am too easily recognizable to trust even ShreckNet and the fabulous work the Nosferatu do with it to share my likeness. Mayhaps, I shall get one of my Wrens to send it to me. I saw someone else here mention someone I presumed a Kine with a similar appellation - if it is her family name, she may well be cousins to my own little birds.Your's,~The Colonel
>>98062192Dear Errand Knight,Should you ever have any difficulties out of New Orleans, do not be afraid to contact me. I have many people who may be of assistance to you.I hope my letter is neither premature or misunderstanding of your situation.Sincerely; Your's,~The Colonel
>>98078237Sir,Nights like this make me miss Prince Guilbeau. He and I never met in life, but we were in the same army more than once. He visited my home many times. My best wishes to Prince Calbullarshi.Your's,~The Colonel
>>98090796Colma Grin,The events surrounding said Sarcophagus are best left in mystery, speaking as someone with an uncomfortable knowledge of events despite my usual distance from there on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains. I am revisiting now; I can safely say no one has spoken about it in my circles in almost twenty years.I shall give advice to the younger here who may not know: if you were not told, it is most certainly not your information to have. However, I am feeling rather talkative this evening. I will divulge this: it was certainly not a fledgling who accomplished those feats known to have transpired those nights.Perhaps I have already said too much.Sincerely & Your's,~The Colonel
>>98101933Tabarin,I feel compelled by your words to say that the Camarilla do not have a monopoly on the virtue of responsibility. I will not insult both our ages or in the least comparable experience by arguing the matter; you are as aware as me of what Princes do with their power in the dark.I shall close by saying I do very much miss Prince Guilbeau, as do many others.Sincerely,~The Colonel
Things look to be heating up. Everyone whose in get ready for the inevitable, those not keep your heads down.>>98107838>>98107866Another balthazar then? Well. No shame in finding companionship on the other side of silicon and sand.I keep any potential relation with the All-High as a purely interesting tid-bit. To my understanding Sturlusson's work was based on a combination of historical narratives, derived Blood reality, and his own political objectives. And no, that newcomer is a Gangrel. A swede specifically.
>>98108588Sir,I cannot say I am familiar with Mister Balthazar, though I am not inclined to dismiss a man who speaks with the marks of experience. For clarification, I am not often here, though the western coast of the United States has at last begun to draw me more than I ever expected. Are the Gangrel particularly connected to the All-Father and the Norse? I regret displaying ignorance in the matter. One of my few comrades from my mortal life is among that clan. If such connections exist, he has not often spoken of it. He and I were cut from the same religious cloth in our upbringing and those habits of mind are not ones either of us has entirely shed. Although he has always been dangerously Congregational.Much of history, as written, is unreliable; nevertheless, it retains value for those who know how to read it.If your statements are true, and the Gangrel are indeed so intimately connected to those older Nordic traditions, I am left to believe he is giving you high praise - which, in the absence of knowing you well, I shall presume you deserve.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel
We videocalled Calbullarshi to debrief him, first he was bored to death then became the happiest I've seen him after hearing from Zoryana that Lianhua and her old as heck Japanese Giovanni Domitor will be going back to Asia so she gets the Embrace. We currently don't have any more assignments.>>98107838>>98107977First of all, thank you for your offer. Our Coterie is made of me, a rootless Assamite, my unwitting Regnant Zoryana, our leader, an Ukrainian Old Clan Tzimisce who is no longer in the Old Clan over being too human, and Errand Chancellor, a Ventrue who feels like a second class citizen in his own clan, who received the Embrace past his prime over his bureaucratic skills, in his own words, think of it like when a Blue Blood embraces someone to be his bodyguard VS his possible next Seneschal.Barring him, we're new to the city and since securing a large haven and herd - we jokingly call it Castle Errand - our priority is back to Camarilla politics. Chancellor says Zoryana, being not yet bound to the mess that is New Orleans politics, could become the city's Consul, navigating and mediating between factions and even opposing Sects, as we just did with the Giovanni and Samedi. On behalf of Zoryana, I'd love it if you could help us get in contact with the High Clans of New Orleans. I am also personally indebted to the Nosferatu for their help with reaching to the Samedi, and I would appreciate suggestions on how to best repay them quickly and in a satisfactory way.
>>98107838>>98107977>>98108850Last but not least, I'm having a mild version of a crisis of faith when I should be happy over completing a task for the Camarilla and my Princess securing so much food reserves the way she prefers.Zoryana laughingly told the blood dolls, possibly under the influence of alcohol in their bloodstream, that she and Lianhua "brought toys to play with the vampire cultists", but since it was just a human cult they "had to do most of the degeneracy themselves."And then the Princess of Castle Errand boasted about grabbing this priestess's hair to bite her neck, and then spanking and groping the human as she drunk. I'll spare you and myself from reading/writing the vile things the Chinese ghoul of the Giovanni did to the head of the cult.I think I'm feeling uncomfortable? Doesn't this run contrary to all the talk we had about feeding on willing vessels? That we wouldn't feed on animal blood because animals can't offer it willingly? Most of the herd were in this cult, they knew this priestess, they used to throw money at her, why are they cheering now? How are they acting like they're lifelong friends of Zoryana? And what is this feeling I have when I see her feed on the boys?Sometimes I wonder if I'm not just an underqualified nerd in a world of social animals, but the last human in a world of monsters.
>>98105918>>98105997Been thinking back about this exchange and how I was spared from the atrocities of the job marketplace. I will never question the wisdom of the Malkavians again, holy heck. Errand Chancellor said: "Worst case scenario, I'll stick Hawk inside a cubicle." His couch-surfing days are far from over, but he will surely manage to put food on the table.>>98099488>>98108588Forgive the unrelated reply, but do you happen to know any of the Malkavians here in New Orleans that you I could be introduced to? Preferably the kind that stay over 2 years?
>>98108173Dearest Colonel,I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits, while not traditionally how this is exchanged, I do find your frankness and use of the correct forms quite endearing. I hope that you do not conform to the modern style. There is a sincerity and kinship in letter writing that is often missing in modern forms. I will argue it only sparing, that all virtue belongs to the Camarilla insofar as all vampires belong to this Noble endeavour. I do understand and accept your point on an individual level, however. I must admit I think I have heard your name before. I have struggled to place it. Perhaps your memory is stronger than mine. Did you find yourself in Panama in the 70s? Perhaps you would recall a certain go-between there named LaFou? Consider it just a humble humouring if you do not.As for the matter of New Orleans, your grief serves you proudly. Surely most cannot claim such ardent feelings about the passing of their prince, and they are surely worst off for it. Personally, I had never met the man. However, I had also not realized the weakness of the current Prince in what should surely be, a jewel at the hand of Kindredkind. If I may, surely such a weak hand does no good to Kine or Kindred in that place. Even Bolder, if you do have a groundwork on resources in the City that Care forgot. I could provide a certain starting investment in both moneyed and personnel infusions. While I am amenable to your suggestions of Candidates to match your much missed Prince Guilbeau , perhaps even a lowly errand fledging might be better guidance for the crescent city, given the right administration and advice of course. Just idle musings of course. In closing, I look forward to our future correspondence. Yours in the persuit of strongest possible harmony, ~Tabarin Beauregard
>>98108850>>98108858Dear Errand Knight. You have my thanks for answering with such candor. I shall begin with New Orleans; I may know many old and vested persons with interests in her and her surrounding parishes. However, I will not make introductions blindly for such things are bridges made with one's reputations and I do not build such things when I cannot see the far bank. If your "Princess," Zoryana is to become a "Consul," in any meaningful sense, she will require more than novelty, courage, and freedom from the city’s present entanglements. Those things may make her useful but they do not yet make her trustworthy. A mediator must prove restraint, discretion, memory, and the ability to govern a household before presuming to mediate among houses. You should also consider what Prince Calbullarshi’s use of your coterie presently signifies. He may value you; he may also find you inexpensive, deniable, and not yet rooted deeply enough in local politics for your destruction to cost him much. For your sake and that of your coterie: do not mistake employment for patronage. With respect to the Nosferatu: repay them in the currency they trade in. Not flattery or ornament but information and quiet access. If you do not know what they want, ask privately and plainly. They may answer with jokes - pay attention to what comes before the punchline. Now to the matter which troubles you; I state plainly there is no innocence in our hunger. A willing vessel does not make us harmless anymore than a cheering herd makes us righteous. Men and women can be taught to applaud many things whether they are Kindred or Kine. Do not confuse applause and absolution anymore than you confuse patronage with employment. It seems I have, "exceeded the character limit." Expect more shortly.
>>98108850>>98108858>>98109149Thank God for my wonderful servant who has explained to me how all this works and is delivering my dictation. Apparently, I treat keyboards as if they owe me debt to paraphrase her words. If this priestess you describe is an enemy, judge her as such; if she is a willing vessel, treat her as one entrusted to the household's care. If she is prey then treat her as such and do not pretend to yourself she is anything more. The question is not whether your Princess can command affection; the question is whether those gathered beneath her roof are made more stable, more protected, and less likely to become dangers to themselves, to you, and to the Masquerade. You ask whether you are merely underqualified in a world of social animals, or the last human thing in a world of monsters. I cannot answer that for you; I can say that discomfort is not always weakness. Sometimes it is the remaining instrument by which conscience informs us that appetite has presumed itself governance.Put your house in order before seeking to manage larger ones. Decide what duties are owed to those who sleep under your roof. Learn what your Prince is using you for and repay the Nosferatu properly. Watch the Giovanni carefully and do not allow their hunger or the Samedi’s grievance or even your own Princess' appetite to define your judgment. When you may state plainly what office you seek, what introduction you require and what your household is prepared to offer besides ambition do not hesitate to write me again.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel

Kindred lower on the pecking order that could be useful as out first interaction with their clans.Basically we never really had a tour guide of the Kindred in this city, aside from very general tips, and Errand Chancellor was mostly worked within clan Ventrue rather than the others.>what your household is prepared to offer besides ambitionIt's speculation on my part and I'm definitely biased, but I think Zoryana could mind control most Kindred in this town. She's a Koldunist, a well-read woman and taught me to use guns.As for me I'm new at everything, duh, but I've used both silence and invisibility during my errands, I think I'm more advanced with the latter, possibly because I was culturally predisposed to being ignored and forgotten and not noticed when in life. Or maybe I'm just coping.Either way I'm not your typical fledgling pounding on your door to prostitute himself for cash, shelter, food, weapons. Or assorted vices. I don't demand trust to come to us out of nowhere, just know that whoever you are or work for, as long as we are in this Sect you know we don't have your enemy bankrolling us, ok?We just need to do this Camarilla thing better is all.
RightSo This ends up just like- A mafia deal right?>So I been keepin my head down, nose to the grindstone, ass shoved against the wall so no one can slap it. >Been hearing about 'herds'- which I gotta get a better word for I hate it and like- if this were just cows I wouldn't ned to get a cow to agree to shit I just need to get a bull for an afternoon and grass to keep her happy->Fuckin- Beside the point>I met a woman am gonna call Lolla for you people. Lolla has got a daughter whose sick. >Long term shit. But I got a solution that I can market off as 'secret sauce' and I sold her on having 'stolen shit from the Devil.' Now cause I technically aint lying and her daughter got better we good, she's now my blood donor and the girl got better. >Except Lollas' daughter goes to one a those cheap church schools an she started feelin bad when the preacher comes out. >Calls that kid evil when she faints.>And I'm like fine fuck me I guess I like Lolla an if anything happens to her daughter I kill the MFer that does it- but I gotta get her inta one a those private schools. An those cost money.>But Bernie has my back. He says cool, you're coming up in the world so I can make you a full partner, we just gotta pay 'the boys' a visit. >His boys are basically protection racket thugs. When I tell them I'm in they say they ain't supporting two bosses>The one in charge looks me in the eyes>And cause am a 'Caitiff' I see he likes killing baby animals. >And I run my mouth, cause fuck that guy>Gangser immediately pulls a machete on me and goes for the head>Bernie beats the guy almost to death and tells them all their next paychecks goes to me for that stunt>So Im basically in his cartel and people think am like- actually Petey Wheatstraw And man fuck that guy wbut also jesus this shit is assBut god I'd be fucked if I couldn't Rudy Ray Moore act mt ass offHow you folks been? Cause i bare;y remember anythin but this shit past few days. nights.
>>98109041Dearest Tabarin,I would be remiss not to first note your surname - it is a name no man of my station and origin can merely pass over. Is that name inherited? Do you possess it by blood or adoption? I would be very pleased to know.Let me also state plainly in case of confusion: Marcel Guilbeau was not -my- Prince, though he was a worthy and able one. For our part, Prince Guilbeau and I were comrades in a mutual Cause in life and peers in un-life. We entertained one another often. My only consolation is that Providence knows better than the Tower or Unbound who should sit what throne. My rank passes over many tongues and into many ears, Mister Beauregard - I cannot account for all those places. A man of your station and connections knows far better than I. As for which virtues do and do not presently belong to the Camarilla, I once more defer to your far more knowledgeable discernment. But what I do possess the knowledge to say is I was not in Panama nor had much to do with its affairs in the nineteen-seventies. As for this Mister LaFou you reference, I regret that I cannot presently place the name with confidence. I have known too many go-betweens, and too many men who survived only because neither side wished to admit employing them. If you have some particular memory in mind, I should be interested to hear the shape of it.As for New Orleans, you are correct that a weak hand does no kindness to Kine or Kindred. I have not proposed a claimant, as I did not when that Hurricane drowned him, the Crescent City and her people near-on twenty years ago. Nor do I mistake money and personnel for legitimacy, though both have their uses when attached to judgment. If the Crescent City is to be steadied, it will require more than investment. It will require memory, discipline, local confidence, and a ruler—or council of rulers—capable of understanding her.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel

>>98108588Where there are wild creeds and untamed lands, so have my kin been. Mongols, Vikings, wild Gaeldom, Berbers, Huns, Turks, Scyths, Indigenous tribes all across the world. While it might bother me greatly most of the confirmation comes from external sources, the pattern is there. >Are the Gangrel particularly connected to the All-Father and the Norse? I regret displaying ignorance in the matter. All people begin in ignorance, there is no shame in that fact. A sizable number of Gangrel claim descent from the All-Father, typically through his Waulkyrie who actually endure to the present and are a menace up in north Scandinavia. But they're a minority within the clan. I think the majority of our number are more integrated with the world, while an unknown number still abide by the old ways. Abiding oral tradition, of which the All-Father is but one of many names.Regardless, may I be found worthy, Colonel.>>98108850>>98108892You don't repay a Nosferatu until they're ready to call in a favour. >>98109371>I keep hearing the "trust no vampire" mantra but I know we're not made equal on this front.Older Kindred like to say that because it makes them seem wise and experienced, forgetting that the whole point of a coterie is to have other Kindred that you can trust to watch your back.

>>98101806I'm affraid I still know very little for certain. You know how slowly the most secure information travels amongst our kind what with the difficulty of crossing the wild places. I know that only that several major domains are without Prince or Seneschall, some have even lost their most influental primogen, while some of the minor ones are bereft if any who claimed greater status in the sect than simple membership. My personal acceptance of the ghost ships is only due to my secretary's warnings and those could not be called "clear." I am told the rumor mill runs the gamut from an airborne invasion from at least half a dozen different nations, to Vlad Tepes himself sailing the Demeter into Florida and eveything in between, above, below, and leeward. For now, an Archon has visited me, suggested I batten the hatches down, and await further news.>>98102518I do thank you for your concern. With age and potency of blood, or even intense conviction a single elder warrior can eradicate entire populations of weak-blooded vampires! I have had the pleasure of witnessing this reality twice!Likewise, caution in all things is vital. However, much as it pains me to say this ensuring a level of trust between a core group is... Necessary. Countless Cainites have been scoured because they were careless- placed their faith in the wrong individual. Be they of the blood, or not. Even animals and buildings can betray you. But- Otherwise- Having reliable people you can trust to play METAPHORICAL RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH IS A MUST. And yes. That last one is fine. But a word of advice. There are those in the Camarilla who will always seek to make your efforts worthless. It is the nature of a ponzi scheme. Without a base of fools to feed into the meet grinder it would not work! Understand this. You are in the 'Jyhad' now, and your enemies are the apparent, as well as the unseen above you in your sect.>>98110927Oh clearly their relationship is platonic! Dear Correspondents,I regret that I have been unable to respond in what is considered a, "timely fashion," for the internet. I felt incredibly drowsy and realized as my servant and I were writing that the sun was closer to the horizon than I wish to see it. Perhaps the most dangerous thing about the internet after all is that it is a thief of time even for immortals. The following evening my itinerary was very full. I visited many colleagues in Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica. Los Angeles has poorly kept secrets as long as I have known her so invariably I was forced to make many other calls besides. That having been said I can make no complaints as to the hospitality rendered to me.Starting tomorrow night, my servant and I will begin our journey eastward. For now I shall endeavor to answer as many of your letters in as timely a manner as I can.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel
>>98109371Dearest Errand Knight,Employment becomes patronage when use becomes trust and trust becomes obligation. Do not ask first who will raise you; ask whose burden you may lessen without becoming one yourself. In short, become trustworthy and effective. Bring information before it becomes gossip and solve small matters without demanding public thanks. Keep confidences when selling them would profit you - a Prince should notice such things and reward them accordingly.Seek the neglected and competent before the grand and visible: lesser Harpies, Nosferatu brokers, Ventrue clerks, a Keeper’s assistant, an ancilla forgotten by his sire; such persons often know more than those who stand tall in Court. Avoid those who speak too quickly of friendship and are overly-generous before you understand their motives.Your Chancellor offers bureaucracy. You offer silence, concealment, and errands completed unseen. Your Princess offers force of will. These are not small things. Yet the greatest thing your house may offer is restraint. Prove those beneath your roof are safer, better governed, and less likely to shame the Masquerade than before they entered it. Do that consistently, and employment may become patronage. As for your relationship to Kine, think on this: power implies a duty downwards. I disagree with Mister Beauregard and declare we are their betters. The Blood has made it so but God will judge what we do with this elevation. This curse becomes a gift if managed well. But remember: the seed of every revolution is a subordinate treated unjustly by his superiors. Do not starve yourself for the sake of Kine, but as Mister Beauregard said: do not play with your food.Do justice. Take my advice and put it into practice. Prove yourself and then I may know exactly which door should be opened.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel
>>98111397Your Highness,Your secretary’s warnings should not be dismissed merely because they arrive in a hysterical form. A lucid Malkavian becoming inconsolable about ghost ships while coastal domains lose their heads is an ominous portent. I need not remind a seaman of your experience what lies to your east.I would first ask what those decapitated domains had in common: look not only at who died, but what roads over water became easier once they were gone. Or perhaps do all those killed share something intriguing that might supply a motive? Your Nosferatu should be able to find out once settled into their new accommodations, but your own people should also be on full alert.Lastly, I appreciate your observation concerning the actions of men of my class in war and how the current picture the younger generation have is insufficient. I cannot say, however, that all men of my station have always sufficiently defended their position nor that all modern judgments of their character are entirely baseless.Write me and tell me how you are faring. I have acquaintances and interests in the, "panhandle," of your state and many coastal states to your north. If war is coming by sea, then those with coastlines had best share intelligence.Sincerely yours,~The Colonel

I myself entered this life in 1838, the child of an Anglo-American family that can count itself among the Old Stock of settlers in the continent.I would be very pleased to probe your own memory of history - your statement about automobiles is quite reminiscent of my own shock, though I have even learned to drive one though I often do not. One's relationship with a horse is not something replaceable. Might I ask of what Clan you are a part of? I myself am of the Clan Brujah. How I would love to visit Hellas. I have not been across the Atlantic in a century at least. Perhaps I am overdue for a tour of the Old World - so much is changing, I would see it again before it is all gone. I would be obliged to know which war specifically you refer to, for in that part of the world the word “independence” has more than one ghost attached to it. Your salutation in Greek and your affection for Ottoman memory make me cautious of assuming the shape of your loyalties. As for your offer of lodging, I thank you. I have a lot to say, so I wont customize my post to every person I must. Apologies for that, Colonel.First, I have been proactive in gathering my own intel on the incidents in south Florida. I haven't learned much, but I do know this: The Nosferatu were hunted down in their own sewers. If you aren't new or blind, then you know that is a very short and very terrifying list.>>98118399I do. She does not. I've got some maybe good news. The info you've provided has helped. Our new Nos at the very least speaks Russian and according to those who would know he is " gulag tough." It's a non-zero possibility that if he's not your wayward Sire he may have moved in similar circles. Now then, Colonel. I have avoided any particularly long slumbers so while the culture around some of these newer inventions baffles me, I do enjoy some modern toys. Like my hot pink Cadillac El Dorado. Honestly, with regards to my memory of Decatur, what stands out most to me was the moment he learned of James' death. I was on the deck of the captured ship we were towing when I heard the shouting. I looked over and saw him go completely still. I mean that in the centuries since, I have seen vampires with more unconscious or nervous tics and twitches. I think the whole world held its breath. Then he burst into motion, gathered his volunteers, uncoupled the ships, and sailed straight into the Barbary ships. On that day I learned what CONTROLLED Rage can do. It's why I pride myself on my self control.
>>98118738Your Highness,To speak first of your war-time service, I will only say since you are plainly a man short for time that if this is what you learned from the Commodore then you learned a valuable lesson. But to speak to your immediate problem, I have one very good guess and another I would rather be wrong about. My initial hunch may be correct but I would no longer bet upon it. If you have any inclination that you require further hands on deck, contact me immediately. I am not in possession of my computer any longer; these messages are passing through intermediaries. Know that my own people in Florida as well as in Georgia and Alabama have officially been briefed for possibilities based on your intelligence and are watching the borders with assets ready to be deployed for immediate counter-offensive should the worst happen. So should you require aid, we are ready - if proactivity becomes required, I will be certain there is no confusion on the ground as to who my people are.Sincerely,~The ColonelP.S. It is the small things in any organized endeavor which hold it together. Be assured my own assets move far faster than the speed with which I write.

>>98108858>And what is this feeling I have when I see her feed on the boys? It's jealousy, lad. But it's a jealousy born out of an artificial love, created and reinforced by the Blood Bond you have to Zoryana. It isn't real. Of course, being told this isn't going to snap you out of it; your mind is going to twist things in order to rationalize it.It also grants her the power to control you with Dominate using only her voice, rather than needing to meet your gaze. Just as a heads up.
The Winnipeg "Situation" (Recap 6)I have the misfortune of being the only one mentally fit and sufficiently skilled in English, so I have been cordially ordered to post the recap.I am NOT a HAPPY CAMPER. Mostly because filing paper-work gives me a panic response. Also things went- Well- They went as well as they could but that is a bar so low, they're using it to frack for fucking oil.> Last night around 3 in the afternoon ghouls from the Camarilla made their best efforts to hit the Sabbat in the daylight.> Beside using a number of independent criminals and dominated vampire hunters, seemingly.> Very large scale operation right in the heart of what remains Sabbat held territory, the kind of thing you commit to if you are either stupid or have intelligence. We can assume the foolish Prince thought they had the latter, instead of the former. > As soon as Night fell this attack immediately went to shit as the Basalt Legion and their pet Foederati converged. > JUST after the Camarilla's cainite members arrived. > If you think this is a coincidence you are as dumb as the damned Prince. > Initially we let this play out. > Our superior intelligence gathering sources- which are many- allowed us to observe the sectarians mauling one another.> The fight originally went catastrophically for the Camarilla, as their ghouls were critically unprepared for the onslaught of cainites.> However then they regrouped they were able to hold their positions, lighting fires and pulling out 'all the stops.'> We have confirmation that the Would-Be Bishop has an enthralled magician, as well as a total of three “““Loupines.”””> I am threatened with final death if I do not use extra quotes. Understandably. > In order to get across why this is bad news, I need you, reader, to imagine the most CARTOONISHLY EVIL version of Salubri.> Are you doing that?> No! More evil! Take the tremere propaganda against the demon worshippers at face value! Think THAT a charitable reading!
>>98120663> That is what these wolf-men are. They are closer to bats and cockroaches in form than wolves. Beings of rot and catastrophe!> They did not join the battle, when our Ductus ordered us to attack, Pontius withdrew.> His shovelheads and those Foederati and attack ghouls did not stand a chance, but we only caught the stragglers and the frenzied idiots who were still focused on the Camarilla hold outs. Especially down in the sewers. > Our Ductus was on the front lines underneath, while that Gorilla-Great Dane Hybrid “Big Pipe” led us topside.> Some highlights include: One of the actual pack-braves getting hit with a 'water balloon' launched via cannon and melting like the wicked witch of the west. Another pack-brave meeting Final Death via Tzimisce chest, as at the front of a charge he was picked up and incidentally used as a battering ram. Additionally the cricket spines can go through a living body and stake a vampire behind. > Underground the Ductus apparently found the leader of the Camarilla attack force. A Brujah called 'Mister Brown' who'd held off surrounding Sabbat for almost seven hours. He asked if she was with 'Kill Team Caenis' and she obliged him.> After, he crumbled to dust. > It is known to us through a certain Malkavian's Auspex that Pontius held his most important assets back. > His mage is a cowardly thing. Half deranged and clearly happy to not join the fighting.> His manky pet strays though? They were livid. > One performed a brief rite that is still unknown to us, but, what we know is this: something evil briefly stepped into our world.> What it is is unclear, the only one who saw it is currently- Incapacitated. > This entity, it struck the Malkavian you know as Mèo-Mèo from half a mile away. > Just for a moment.> And the damage it did with this mere touch near completely flayed the skin from the front of her body.
>>98120688> Our Loupine allies are in uproar over the matter, two have departed to inform the others of their 'Ghost Council' the gravity of the situation. The rest have basically been locked into an argument in an indigenous tongue only our Ductus understands.> It is bad enough apparently the 'Red Talon' wants to raze St Boniface to try and deal with it.> At the moment only I am operating at full capacity in our pack. Ductus is unnerving and dealing with the wolves, Gün is borderline catatonic.> Malkavian is bad enough the Loupines donated vitae to her.> The only good news is that nobody truly won this battle. Though I fear the Camarilla will not be as useful to our efforts. Their meatshields were exhausted and the Legion will make to rip their influence from Winnipeg in the coming nights.> However Pontius clearly set this battle up to win. He will be displeased.> I have also been informed by the FEATHERY FUCK-HEAD that the Prince just tossed Trelaine out into the light of day.> I have a most hypothesis: Trelaine's remaining 'Anarch ally' was either a mole or bribed to defect. This ally used the former Anarchs in the Sabbat to help set up an ambush against the Camarilla, luring them in.> During the battle this double-agent defected to Pontius. > Leaving Trelaine holding the bag. > Now, I would say “You shall more information soon,” but that is not a claim I will make because I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN UNLESS IM THE LAST ONE LEFT ALIVE, THE LOUPINE WITH THE GOAT HORNS AND THE FAT RACK CAN DO IT> I HATE FILING REPORTS I HATE IT MA'AM > THIS IS STUPID GOD CHRIST MAN ON THE FUCKING STICK AND THE SILLY STRING> Bah. Doing my utmost to not be mad at our performance, and, instead, am going to try and be objective here. Not an awful outing, considering we had enemy loupines in the area, and they were the rotten sort. Should've gunned them down instead of playing it carefully, but now we know, and nobody important is twice dead. Next time we see them, we should maybe shoot to kill. And see what the absolute quiet of Obfuscate will do to the rotten things. That'd be funny, a mad dog getting all the voices to quiet down suddenly, hearing nothing but their own soon-to-stop heartbeat and the shitshow they call thoughts. The mage is unpleasant. If he's around, other mages could show up soon enough. They gravitate to each other. The sooner he's in the dirt, the better.>>98120710> I HATE FILING REPORTS I HATE IT MA'AMYou shake a lot while typing. Like a chihuahua with mange, vibrating from anger.he really is so exceptionally Kevinesque, every line I can imagine in his voice. This is objective peak, the thread is richer for his presence. I am also haunted by that I had scandinavian gnomes be Ignis's woodland nemeses, and would you fucking guess what is mentioned in HtP, scandinavian gnomes. Horrid.

Can't wait to figure out how we'll be incorporating an invisible train in this shit, that's probably about all he's going to propose.
Herbert of the Samedi had something for me. It's a letter allegedly penned by Sirio "Boy Toy" Ascari, the back of the envelope says: "From the man who is too tired to die again." and "To the Scourge of New York City." I am not opening it.Wren is a changed person. I don't know if it's Swan's fashion wizardry, but this blood doll, who used to find me gross, is now is acting all clingy and physical, grabbing my arm and pecking my neck. Magpie casually said us two should go on a date, Wren essentially kidnapped me into one. I nicknamed her Wren for her small size, after the recent expansion of the herd she's still the shortest in Castle Errand, something to do with her South Asian ancestry methinks. The location she had to pick was the Giovanni-owned Asian fusion restaurant. Gosh darn it. The owners are fraternal twins, Salvatore "Sal" Deacon, and Stella. So Wren happily stuffs her face with pan-fried seafood gyoza, then in the corner of my eye I spot Lianhua, the Chinese ghoul. My vitae was already frozen solid, I didn't need Lianhua to whisper that her Domitor wanted to see me in private, I didn't need her to add that it was not a request: Wren's glare alone made my skin crawl.Lianhua looks like an AI-made pearl jade beauty in a white qipao. She lead me to this room and asked me if I know how to kowtow. I told her I saw dogeza in anime. She corrects my position as I wait for the Japanese Elder with my knees, hands and forehead on the floor.Spider Lily: "Is this the stray your friend found?"Lianhua: "Friend is a strong word."S: "He's well disciplined for one so young."Errand Knight: "Your humble servant is flattered. My manners were beaten into me."L: "Are you not afraid?"E: "The Elder gives one the calm only the certitude of death can give."S: "Certitude? You have much to learn, fledgling. Something is troubling you."E: "Your humble servant dares not involve the Elder in the delivery a letter."S: "Give it to me."E: "I implore the Elder not to open it."
>>98125103L: "The Mistress will do as she pleases."S: "Worry not, I won't. Ah, I see. You can't deliver this yourself. Due to the recent war started by a few clanless Cainites, New York is the city with the strictest policy concerning the clanless, uninvited or thinblooded in the whole New World, Elysium doesn't protect them. Do you practice martial arts?"E: "This one is but a beginner of Sambo."S: "Sambo?"L: "Think of a Soviet version of judo with leg locks allowed in competitions instead of chokeholds."S: "Was that the reason that clever little brat was always reaching for my ankles?"L: "Catch wrestling, too, Mistress. And height difference."S: "The Scourge there, Blue Fairy as she was known in the web, is a Toreador and a martial disciple of mine, she would find you before you find her, and you will face Final Death, but before that, since she likes to torment her prey using their own favorite techniques, she'd tear your ligamentum cruciatum anterius."L: "That's your ACL."S: "Enough, you're both dismissed."E: "Your humble servant will treasure the Elder's wisdom, and wishes you a safe travel to Asia."Lianhua returned me to the wrathful Wren, who finished her dinner alone, and dragged me to the women's restroom. I wonder if the place is always this squeaky clean or just tonight because of Spider Lily. I fed off the side of Wren's neck. That sweet, sweet, red nectar. But to our shock, me and the dentistry student weren't the only couple with something to hide. Someone else was playing in another stall, much rougher and louder. We went back to our table, had some small talk. Then I saw no one but the owners leave the restroom after us? Were they not brother and sister?Sal said the food was on the house. Right before we left, someone grabbed my shoulders and hissed: "The help you received tonight was not free. The Clan of Death is always in demand for somebody with your skills, assassin."I turned around. No one was there? Wren saw or heard nothing.
>>98123524Victoria and Colma do not get off far enough. There is an evil force in this world so twisted and broken it is mindless. So vast it is indescribable. And it seeks to destroy our world. It has many names, I call it Acras, but most call it the Wyrm. These Loups are a tribe annihilated and twisted by this force. The closest thing we have are the Baali, or those who experienced Wassail. Even that is lacking. We as the Blood do not have that sheer level of anathema for anything. A blessing in the curse.>>98124425The worry is that the Spiral Dancer rite itself is not the weapon. It merely invoked something. Something Pontius has courted as a means of pursuing his end, fitting for the 'Regent of North America'. Something bad. That thing it did to my Cat. It could have killed or done something worse. But it did not. It reached out and grazed her just to inflict pain.We have a plan for this. Just- go easy on the poor eunuch. >>98125172>No help is ever free. But there will always be someone tripping on themselves to intimidate.Been thinking I understand why everyone dislikes the Giovanni and finds them creepy, but despite everything, our little blood doll is still the scariest thing I saw tonight. That Elder is like so completely removed from anything I am, have or can do, it's like looking up Elon Musk's salary on Google. It's scary, but it's different.Anyway, good news is, the addressee of the letter won't kill me, God willing.Bad news is, I need somebody to deliver said letter to the Big Apple for me. Meaning: I'm indebted to the Nosferatu, the Giovanni, who's next?Aw for God's sake.
>>98125209And never become that elder kid. Once, it was human too. But time and action and getting lost in the fucking blood took that from them.
>>98125238Is that common among vampire Elders?
>>98125253You bet. And the older they are, the worse it gets. I met a thing that's older than fall of Carthage, a few months ago, when New York was kind of on fire. Not sure if you heard much about that, it got swept under the rug, as these things always are. The Elder was not even trying to pass as something human, in mannerisms and so on. Really don't get how Kine don't immediately clock it as abnormal. Maybe since it mostly stays in Europe, it just finds sufficiently frigid and dronelike Kine bureaucrats and nobility there, to linger around, seem like it's one of them. A literal roach in the shape of a man could make that work, probably, why not an Elder.

They are no less vampiric because they have no use for the tatters of their former life. In other news, I've finally let Sin off the stake. Perhaps it was a mistake to attempt to tackle them one at a time or just a necessary breaking process, but she's not running at least. Having her take some secretarial courses while I get Lust to run down some gangs for me. I think he's going to turn out the best out of the two but I have hope for both. I'm getting sick of Sin's flophouse so I've decided to rebuild from scratch a little. Run some drugs, some ass. Whatever people pay for these nights. It is hilarious sending the whitest kid you know to work his way up the ahh coloured gangs that seem to work out of here, but he'll learn as he goes I'm sure.

I have been informed by my more tech-literate colleagues of how to best interface with this, "forum." An ironic name to me. I am still without my computer and may be for some time; I have an aide who is reading me your, "posts." I then compose a response and they see to the formatting and all the rest.It is my great regret that I have failed to keep up with affairs; however, my responsibilities have called me elsewhere. In the meantime, I shall leave those of you travelling with some words of warning: be cautious if you plan to move through the American Southwest, particularly Arizona and New Mexico. Sabbat are moving from across the border and some Tzimisce in the northern portion of the two aforementioned states have allied with them. Also those of you near Appalachia or within it, be cautious of Hunter activity. They are not part of the, "Coalition," or the, "Second Inquisition," as it has been erroneously called; at most they are collaborators, but they pride themselves on their independence as much as my associates and I. Nevertheless they are professional, knowledgeable and committed. I will say no more of them.Hopefully circumstances will permit I may respond to the rest of you more directly. At the present time I have matters of state to attend to. Good fortune and good evening to you all.

>>98127820Dear Colonel, May this letter find you in health. I appreciate the forewarning. I must admit that I admire the Sabbat's tenacity. They are being a thorough challenge in both the south and north and east and I would not be surprised if there was some unreported on horrors being made manifest around the west coast as well. My betters have authorized me to take a little roadtrip to Arizona, maybe even to Phoenix or Juariz. Turns out the upper brass per say are getting conflicting reports which means that either some of the princes are incompetant or some of the princes are in on it. As always your communication is appreciated. You asked before and I didn't answer about the Beauregard name. This information is worth an answer I think. Adoption, my Sire owned that name thru life. Last names of course were more flexible in the past, and I'm sure you like most kindred have a dozen. Have a life of long and pleasant evenings. ~TabarinIt's only seven or eight or nine hundred, one thousand miles after all. How could I ignore something positively in my backyard.
Zoryana had enough, told me: "We're ladies and lords of the night, not some post office!", smacked my face, said I have a cultural problem, and she wants Errand Chancellor to give me "remedial classes to teach me about my new place in the food chain and the universe, and what compulsory education in America and video games couldn't."

In his first class, Errand Chancellor gave me multiple examples of similar concepts to reflect on:>the lord of a castle VS the guards and the peasants working in the fields>a queen of a species of eusocial insects VS her army of workers>a Chinese emperor who read the Tao Te Ching VS the ministers doing all the labor>the genome inside a spider VS her body and webs>the boss of a criminal organization inside a prison cell in Italy or Latin America VS his informants, thugs, pushers operating outside>an Elder Kindred VS his assetsChancellor: "What happens if an element of the periphery, like a worker bee, dies?"Knight: "Another can replace it."C: "And what about the center, like the queen?"K: "The whole order collapses."C: "Is it always the case?"K: "Maybe a new queen can take her place?"C: "Would the order survive, then?"K: "Yes."C: "Would you say the order is 'superior' to both queen and worker, since it can outlive both, and replicate itself without either?"K: "Yes, it is."C: "What would be an appropriate name for it, then?"K: "I don't know."C: "What about 'power'?"K: "Ah."C: "But if this order, this power, can carry on regardless of who survives... in their own hive, what makes the queen more valuable than her worker?"K: "Uhm..."C: "The worker is not in the position to replace a queen. Are you, Errand Knight, a worker in your hive?"K: "Zoryana should rule, it only makes sense that she should be the queen, I cannot replace her, I must be a worker."C: "Didn't she say: 'Don't die for Zoryana'?"K: "She did."C: "What if we have a ghoul deliver your letter to the of Scourge of New York, and doesn't come back?"K: "We can always get another ghoul."C: "And what if you go, and we lose you? Is what's needed to train another Kindred comparable to a ghoul?"K: "Oh..."C: "Will the Prince let us Embrace a new mortal easily?"K: "No?"C: "Do you feel replaceable yet?"K: "I guess not."C: "Then you too have the rights and duties that come with power."

Any kindred in Chicago seen two orange eye fucks? Nearly made me shit a brick and I’ve still got no clue what they were.I was minding my own biz for once and saw two whites (not wights, heh) mad dogging me across Madison Ave. I followed and they split up, so I waited then went for the big juicebag. Put my hands on him in an alley, only I didn’t. I couldn’t touch the fucker. Went right through him.He looked at me and said “Hey mosquito, bite me!” then he up and vanished.
