>>98048006Psychic>Unleash Psyche makes your first amp during it free>Only requirement for UP is to not be stupefied>Psyche actions can be used outside UP, reduced actions costs during UP>Stupefied only for one round, no cooldown (tied to requirement)>Feat to extend UP duration earlier/changed to class feature, replaced by a feat that gives more free amps or removes stupefied or w/e.>Amps don't require a free action, amps can be used with spellshapesMonk>Mountain Stance repurposed into non-stance class feature for AC>Fists get parry, parry+ (2 AC) at a certain class feature, Paragon's Guard -like feat for parry>Mountain Stronghold changed to Martial Artist's Adamantine Body, maybe a class feature>FoB into free action that requires your last action or activity included a Strike>>Some tinkering with feats to restore function>Whirling Throw no longer its own action, but an option when you Grapple, like Goading Feint and Feint
Stop making your players fight overleveled single enemies, it's hurting every player except the fighter.
>>98048214Whole system is designed so that players have to fight against overleveled enemies in order to have any challenge.
>>98048225So the system is designed to make casters suck major dick and most martials just worse fighters?Sounds about right.
>>98048006I'll swing at Inventor, fuck it>at 3rd level all of its unstable actions have their own cooldowns, at 7th you gain a 1-per-10 minute "free" use of one unstable action, at 13th you get a second "free" use>Overdrive success/failure effects shunted down by one step, add in some shit like "+1 circumstance bonus to first attack you make" as the new critical success>add the ability to get a second invention, make it a level 8 feat with some prereq that makes in unpoachable>replace the level 19 feature with bonus modifications, and the artillery CA gets legendary Class DC at this point too Alchemist bonus round>built in "use item as part of drawing/making it" that is unpoachable from level 1>can also throw items at allies within 15 ft to activate them immediately>unpoachable feat to steal level 1 features of a second subclass>automatic crafting skill scaling, paired with automatic Efficient Advanced Alchemy boosts (remove those feats)>let additives be added to Quick Vial bombs, and let Bomber selectively ignore allies instead of just binary "splash on/off" toggle
simply make strike crits roll dice twice and not double modifiersyou have nerfed crits, nerfing fighter and the bullshit 1d8+5000 damage enemy critsyou have made damage-dealing spellcasters better by retaining spell crit doubling

2eSo my GM is planning on a nautical game and one of the ideas I had for a pc is a trident using Justice Champion. But I'm curious how much having 0 CHA will matter? I know I will lose out on the lvl 9 persistent damage but I'm wondering if I'm missing something else that is obvious.
>>98049855I'm playing the game that has classes that need fixing.
>>98049942Ah, so you play both editions, I see
Going to be starting a Revenge of the Runelords (PF2e) new mythic character starting at level 12 after we wrapped up Seven Dooms. Current character ideas are a timelocked Automaton wizard with the Timewracked Destiny who's an old Thassilonian construct woken up by the Godsrain and a Hobgoblin Champion of Asmodeus coming from Cheliax to gain enough power to become an Archfiend. Looking for any other ideas or suggestions since this is my first time messing with level 12+ PF2e stuff as well as the mythic system. Our GM was nice enough to let us pick a free archetype dedication at level 2 that we could swap out a mythic feat up to level 10 so we're not pigeon-holed into the more useless early mythic feats. Rest of current party seems to be Dual wielding flurry ranger who hasn't decided on a destiny, a rogue/thaumaturge or monk with Prophecised Monarch, a Druid/Inventor going either Wildspell or Eternal Legend, and a cleric going Godling/Ascended Celestial and I'm just trying to find a niche that's missing in the party composition.
>>98049936No you've pretty much got it. CHA is also your casting stat for focus spells, but just don't take any of the "Litany of" spells and you avoid that drawback entirely.
>>98048006Wizard Buffs>4 spell slots by default. No need to have the bonus slot.>Spell Substitution is a default feature, no longer a Thesis option. Your school lets you either recharge a spent slot OR substitute that slot with a School Spell when you Drain Bonded Item. >Each School has ONE non-Arcane spell a part of its spell list. Unified Magical Theory gets a feat to replicate the idea.>Schools now provide a relevant Lore that auto-scales to Legendary.>Light Armor Training>Arrays are expanded as a feat line that function like Bless, magic circles that only need to be sustained to expand their range. Arrays are added as a tag.>Call Wizardry Tools is a default feature.>Irresistible Magic is default feature. An array feat can be added to remove spell resistance for your friends.>Wizards with Familiars can have an array start from their familiar instead of themselves.>Scroll Adept becomes a Level 6 feat, not *10*. Arguably that's still too high but not in the mood to rewrite the feat or check what could possibly go wrong with letting you craft scrolls of your level.>Explosive Arrival is 1d6 over 1d4.>Featline that cribs from Thaumaturge and lets them use any Magical Item with their Spell Proficiency over the default DC.>Feat that lets them Recall Knowledge then cast a spell.>Feat that lets them use INT for Medicine checks and requirements.
>>98050528One other question for Champion, how is Shields of the Spirit as a focus spell? Was thinking of going for the Security feats and using FA to grab Blessed One to still have the option for Lay on Hands.
>>98050656It's fine. It always had the issue of competing against Lay on Hands but if you going Blessed One than you should be fine.
