the latest banlist is uniquely bad in that it did not hit KT at all while everything else got dragged through the mud. You can say that it's too early to hit KT and I'll tell you to shut your bitch ass up. Naturia Rose Whip was the only hit that they really took and that doesn't even really count since it's a non-engine floodgate.

Like come the fuck on, dude. I wasn't expecting them to kill their BLZD cards or anything, but I was expecting them to do SOMETHING so that it isn't just running rampant at full power.

I've heard some KT players say this. Just a reality check, as someone that has several Runick variants and who is fully aware of my decks' weaknesses; Being fair doesn't mean that what you're running isn't completely miserable to deal with. KT can virtually never brick, bombards you with floating effects, has the ability to dodge targeted negation, has the random ability to shut off 2 entire summoning mechanics for no particular reason (3 in the case of some Ritual decks), and has the nerve to randomly get hand information during your standard combos. It doesn't matter what weaknesses it has, all of that shit makes it absolutely miserable when you're on the receiving end. Even if you win.

I like that Snow was unbanned since I feel like she was just re-Limited a little too early during Tearlaments format, and I'm hoping that Metamorphosis doesn't break the game too much (or that they at least address a little few of its targets in an emergency banlist, if they have their hearts set on keeping it legal). Most of the other changes I think are unremarkable.

You have to understand that KONMAI doesn't hit shit based on how unfair it is, killer tune literally just got its two missing pieces (rotary and fydraulis), so they didn't hit the deck in order to boost sales of BLZD. They didn't hit elfnote either for the same reason, even though we could have seen a meme limit like tinia to 2.
This however means they WILL overcompensate in the next banlist in order to sell the newest thing, so i wouldn't buy into either deck unless you make a living off of this game or just don't mind 1k worth of cards turning into $200 come december.

It's absolutely not. Just the fact that it can take a look at your hand (and thus play accordingly ie stopping after a few summons if they see nibiru, ending on a certain synchro if they see droll, etc), stack your draw AND potentially banish a very important 1-of, and rip a random extra deck card (which also can be a crucial 1-of) while performing their most basic plays means that by design the deck was mean to be unfair and annoying.

They have been a little better about at least spacing out the hits lately, which is why I have such a problem with the latest list. They're going to use it to push product but it hasn't been this blatant is a good while. And you'd think they could at least hit one or two of the native KT cards instead of leaving them entirely untouched.

If you expected that we were going to get hard and direct hits on KT then you're retarded and have zero pattern recognition. There is no logical reason you would expect huge hits to the deck that was putting up no results before the support so soon.

I see this shit every time we get a banlist just before an expected meta deck releases and they basically never hard hit these decks.
I live under no illusion, the deck is extremely good and is unfair in a meta sense. I full expect Rotary and B2B to be banned and KT synchro to go to 1 within the year. But it was never happening THIS list.

Metamorph is a really interesting card to have back alongside snow for a fairytail deck of some sort.
But I would like to question why didn't we see more cards move towards unlimited? I guess maybe because they really want to shill BLZD stuff but it's not like something like purrely is going to beat any of the other expected decks in the meta let alone KT.

In response to the KT meta I could see some sort of fusion deck like Lunalight stepping up. I think the deck is extremely overlooked and if KT is still the top deck by the LL support this fall then expect it to be around.
The other one is Unchained but I think that one is going to way after a banlist that hits KT and will be our next boogeyman. That support is insane but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

idiot from the previous thread, I bought the legendary modern decks box, and the mitsurugi deck seems to contain a bad cut misprint of at least Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi, though I haven't opened the plastic packaging to check the rest. Is this common? Is that why there's an extra pack with mitsurugi cards in it? Do people buy these things for anything, or should I just keep it for the fun oddity?

The bonus pack has a chance of a starlight rare in it which can be worth a pretty penny if you get one. I don't know what your Kusanagi looks like but KoA's print quality has been pretty damn bad these past few years so it wouldn't surprise me at all if you got a damaged card out of the box.

We JUST left multiple formats that were determined by how many negates you could put on the field at once in favor of how many interactions your deck can put out. The two most generic negates we can currently put out are Ilia Silva (very ashable engine) and Murakumo (the negate is optional). It may come as a surprise, but people don't want more.

It's more likely that Dragoon will finally get banned. Gaze still has other targets and it's still an engine you can put out for free as long as you're willing to run an Azamina package. You'd just be ending off on Timaeus for quick effect backrow removal instead of Dragoon for an omni.

You might be able to coax an LGS if you're willing to buy an entire case of it or can find people to split it with at the locals.
The big issue is that the LGS can only purchase by the case from distros and they don't want to deal with the excess as they already know how much they want for regular shelf stock.
Or you can skip all that and buy from the distro directly IYKYK. Assuming you want a case.
