Special is for adding entirely new functions. The point is that you're not upgrading the technique as much as changing what it's primary functions are. For example, if the attacks were replaced with a speed buff where you move extremely fast for a few seconds instead of hitting really hard, that would be a special technique.Adding more stances is an upgrade, and it's still basically the same technique but better, therefore that's a signature technique.

Not what I expected from a creepy freak build like Señor Negro.A couple of factors for that, its due to Mr. Black's drawbacks Eccentric and Magmatic, its due to being mind split so many times and worn so many faces he probably has disociative identity issues and three why can't weird creepy people have fun goofy hobbies?>The Kyomi bit was offputting in a way I don't think was intentional since it reflected on Logan really weirdly, but he isn't my build so I won't judge on that much.I have to wait for Logan anon to provide his feedback, but according to his build, Logan is came from the mortal world, is a loner kleptomaniac with yandere tendancies and has a passion for cosplay. His build also participated in the previous SC mp and has watched Kyomi's streams, if you extrapolate from all of that he probably has parasocial tendancies.The entire meeting is engineered for Mr. Black to gauge Logan's character and to mediate their information exchange without extortion or theft on neutral ground in a formal and civil way, it is a rigged from start to finish and very transactional. From the coin flip to the game rules and even down to the questions being asked, he knows Logan has been investigating him and he knows if he told the truth in such a blunt manner without a hint of lies or deceit that is going to throw Logan off his game. Up to this point, Logan has dealt with nothing but subterfuge, misinformation and half truths due to the way he gathers intel and carries himself with the rest of Youdu, causing him to second guess and doubt every word spoken during that meeting, even the very last loaded question that Mr. Black asks, the outcome doesn't really change, it can be ANY vtuber that Logan follows and Mr. Black could have morphed into that character and acted it up and gave away some merch (which he certainly would have access to)

He wouldn't be nearly as nervous and stuttering constantly in that situation, he's not scared of Mr. Black, he thinks he's individually stronger than him and doesn't fight him head on because it's meanningless not because he's afraid, there is no point in killing random replaceable mass. Even in case real danger happens he has Lunar Eon which would automatically activate and allow him to flee, so being scared or nervous makes no sense. How factually true that is doesn't matter, it's simply what he thinks.Old Logan didn't care that much for Kyomi, as I vaguely remember pointing out back then already but it's been a while. He kept the streams in the background as he did other things. New Logan would have more free time but would act mostly the same, he doesn't give that much importance to that kind of stuff.Now for the good stuff. In this specific case I don't mind it too much because the whole thing was otherwise well structured, Logan's outward demeanour was wrong but the overall outcome would have been the same. The spoiler part is an accurate assessment of the situation form Logan's perspective, so even if he didn't show it he would be doubting everything and trying to read between the lines. Even without the emotional attachment he would be swept up in the game enough to accept some random rare merch, he's still a collector even if not in an obsessive parasocial way, and he would have fun playing cards as much as he would hate to admit it. And he would still be curious enough to "waste" the last question on knowing what happened to a VTuber.
>>98093352>>98093586The second reason why I didn't mind him acting that way is that this all started by comparing Mr. Black to Kaiba and Logan to Yugi, and this more timid demeanor makes him very similar to young Yugi.Overall I don't think it's a bad thing, it's not supposed to be a serious piece, canon or not, and it does what it sets out to do well. The meaning is clear even if the details may be inaccurate. I don't have any problems in accepting it as is in the end, and would probably come up with some reason to explain the discrepancies if I wanted to keep it going instead of asking for any changes.Last but not least, I know I'm bad at describing characters by now, and writing my characters without some reference of how I write them seems to always end in a similar way. I can only take it as a reason to get better at it, if it keeps happening then I'm clearly doing something wrong.I really shouldn't have put that yandere comment there but I didn't even think people would seriously read the romance section.

I was very indecisive about it even if I did talk about it before. Between getting stuck as far as inspiration goes and also getting sick I decided that it was better to retire Logan. I should have probably posted it in the new thread too intead of just the secret hours but I didn't want to spam.The cult can stay, the new character would pretty much replace Logan there, and I am working on writing down all the fluff for the new character as well, but since I got sick it will take a bit. We don't have to be perfect, mistakes can be fixed in many different ways and from different angles. You can edit the story after, or you can come up with a reason why the character was acting different. In the end it's supposed to be collaborative.
