>>98114584Poker isn't possible in the broad term because the machine counter cheats by rigging the deck for every 3rd winner to be the house. Never play at a table where you are "against only the dealer". You'll always lose.>you play until the shoe is done (all 5 decks)>cannot enter half way through>rigged so the dealer wins with any number of players 1-6(+1 being dealer)>mathmatitions rigged it for dealers to winEvery person above 2, the dealers win more often because the dealer will get 2/3rds of the cash. If it's winner-takes-all then dealer can't win with a rigged deck. *the machine cannot fight with math; against a random number of unknown opponents*Don't play pro poker. Always play one deck and counting cards is impossible past 30 shuffles. Because that is beyond half the decks card number, statistically ruining the math into the below 10% possibility rate of being right. (useless if it's below 15% to be "guess this gives me an advantage" by guessing the next card).You're welcome.

>which is the higher IQ gameChess.I know this because I play chess and I am extremely intelligent. Meanwhile I do not play poker, so it's probably some toy to keep idiots busy. No I haven't read the rules of poker, individuals of my intelligence don't need to.
>>98115205The fuck kind of poker are you playing?
>>98114584Chess
>>98114584Gambling introduces stress, risk-avoidance, and trains generally negative behaviors. Gambling makes you worse. If you just play for the enjoyment of playing, then poker teaches you social skills that are massively undervalued and way more important to what "intelligence" really is than most people realize. But if you introduce gambling into it, the baggage it brings with it is significant. Chess trains cognition and critical thinking but prolly doesn't teach anything lasting except "being good at chess."

chess = ideaspoker = math
Chess by far. I don't believe in the fundamental idea of Poker - that you bluff better than another person bluffs. I don't believe you can get into another person's brain enough for such a thing where you would then be able to figure out whether they are bluffing or playing straight better than luck - it's just not realistic. It's not. If that part of poker is realistic and a skill then rock-paper-scissors is a skill. No - poker is for cheats, people who know math preying on others who don't, tax evasion and money laundering, that's it. I saw a famous celebrity, used to be part of a boy band, talking about how successful he was at poker and how skilled he was and how he was about to go to the big time with it - and it's just so obvious he was being hustled and they were just going to clean him out and he would put more and more money into it, embarrassed at losing and not being able to figure out what went wrong. Chess is a good game, but you have to realize it's extremely dependent on memory and susceptible to studying. This is especially the case in the days of stockfish and computer chess. Nobody has to figure out shit anymore, they just either read handheld notes about it or they can put it into stockfish and generally becomes fairly easy to understand. So they both have their flaws, but at least chess is a real game. Other traditional card games other than poker can have some respectability - canasta, bridge, but once I realized the luck factor is enormous I lost interest.

>>98114584I don't respect either of those.Poker is just emotional manipulation and chess is just autistically memorizing specific plays and counters to them. Neither requires real intelligence - creativity and ability to think on your feet.
