Can we come up with some good tables, /tg/? I'll start:1d8 Things to See at the City Docks:>1. A crew of sailors are looking to sell meat they harvested from a sea monster. Although it's relatively cheap here, it can be resold for a higher price further inland away from the coast, if you can find a way to preserve it along the journey.>2. A ship captain approaches your adventurers and asks if they'll clear the "barnacles" from the underside of his ship. The barnacles are actually monsters that will breach the hull and sink the ship in 1d6 days if not attended to.>3. A hanged pirate's corpse wakes up every afternoon and screams for 10 minutes, greatly annoying the sailors and dock workers.>4. Seagull poop has tainted an ornate chest some sailors were planning to bring to the city ruler/council. For some reason, no matter what, they seem unable to clean it. They'll split the payment with the players if they help clean and deliver it.>5. A fisherman was tasked with procuring an exotic fish (possibly a sea monster) for a nobleman's holiday feast, but he can't possibly obtain the monster on his own. If the PCs finish the job, the nobleman invites them to partake in the feast, potentially granting them a powerful ally - if they maintain their social graces during dinner.>6. A dead whale has been floating in the area's waters for some time, severely impeding ships entering and leaving the area. If it isn't dealt with soon, it may explode and shower the area in viscera, requiring extensive and expensive cleanup and preventing the PCs from traveling by sea indefinitely.
>>98140802Had to compress the post because the field was too long. It was meant to be 1d10.>7. A foreign royal envoy has arrived, bringing gifts and treasures for the local nobility and the country's king. However, he elected to bring a cast of flashy, colourful, and flamboyant pampered dandies instead of a full retinue of guards (though he still has a few). With that in mind, it wouldn't be too hard to get onto the ship and steal a thing or two...>8. A massive shipment of wine, rum, beer, or other alcohol was disrupted and spilled into the harbor, killing several fish in the area and leaving their stinking bodies in the dock waters. The taverns will surely be serving beer-flavoured fish for the next several weeks. PCs can participate in harvesting the fish for a modest labourer's pay.>9. A military vessel has caught fire! If it isn't handled soon, the gunpowder will ignite and explode the whole thing, causing massive damage to the docks and potentially killing several innocent people.>10. Some crab fishers accidentally caught a locked, corroded, and barnacle-crusted safe while out to sea. They haven't been able to open it, decided it was useless, and leave it with the PCs.
>>98140802I knew of a guy with a screentable once. He was immensely proud of it, boasted constantly at our wargaming club. Ended up having a massive public chimpout because one of his RPG players spilt a soda on it and fried the whole thing lol. That's what you get for being a poofter who doesn't draw physical maps.
>>98140913Dumbass should have waterproofed it since accidents like that are common
divorced dad purchase
there has to be about an inch of space between the image on that screen and the top of the glass on the table. trying to line up your minis with their correct position on the grid would be such a chore compared to just using a paper map or a neoprene mat and a ruler or whatever. playing on this table would be unpleasant at best.
>>98140802How about, let's do it this way:Suggest a theme for a table, and write the table that another anon suggested.I'll start:>>98143913>1d6 divorced dad purchase>1. A home cinema>2.
