Nilla had lasted twenty-three years before deciding she would rather die in the Zone than live another day beneath fluorescent lights.

Nilla flexed her fingers around the her weapon's hilt as the mire elk emerged from the hazy mist. At least, that was what she thought it had once been.
The beast stood nearly two metres tall at the shoulder. Rot-black fur hung in wet strips from muscles swollen with mutation. Antlers spread like twisted trees above a skull crawling with pale fungal growths. Too many eyes blinked independently across its face. Then it raised itself onto two legs.
Nilla froze.

The stories called them Skogskonungar, forest kings. Apex predators born from radiation, spores, and whatever poisons the ancients had poured into the earth before the Fall.
The footbridge groaned beneath her boots as she sprinted onto rotten planks slick with algae.
The beast lunged, landing close enough that she could feel its breath, hot and stinking of carrion.
It was clear to both that only one of them would leave alive.

Whats yalls method for getting solid results?

In my experience I first discuss all the details, set up the scene and idea behind the picture. Then have the model itself design the prompt. Then run the prompt in-model for the best result.

Been recently using it to visualize my setting and gotten great results. Ironically started off as unit cards for a ck3 mod. Thats where I got the framing and style from but it just lent itself very well to the purpose.

In case I'm switching constantly or get back to a chat after days I just ask it to repeat the overall prompt or guidelines before generating an image again. Oh hey! I actually made this a thread or so back and forgot to post it. Never really settled on official heights but going with your chart I'd say Kobby is 2'3" and Gobby is the same if not just a tad shorter. Maybe 2'2"? Anyways, have fun chart-anon!

And that reminds me I haven't put in my own little kobold bard/rogue I occasionally play. I made him over 20 years ago (during 3.5) when playable kobolds were still a fan creation but have kept him in my back pocket as a silly character to pull out and play for one-shots and other short adventures. And I thought he was small when I'd call him three feet tall (if you count his top hat).

It'd be great to get other characters represented that we haven't seen in a long time. Especially early /slop/ OCs like Chatty, or Comfy, or Katherine, or the brown wizard. Or others who have come and don't post often like Bingbing or Plague Doctor or Lisa or Lyra the wolf girl.
And then there's the biggest issue is I don't know how tall these creators see their characters. So I want to let people decide how their character is depicted and what height they'd be for comparison's sake. Because sometimes they surprise me. Like Kobby and Gobby being so smol.

Also, tried to shuffle some people to the right to balance things a little. Left side was getting a bit crowded. Still want to keep people's OCs together so if you see way one out of place let me know.

If you still have all the files, I'd suggest making two sets stacked vertically, one for all the characters over 6', all the others under. That way its less width and easier to read.

Kobolds are supposed to be between 2-3 feet tall. I can bump them up to 3'2" and that might not look so tiny.

I went through the same thing with Piro. I knew she was short at 4'6" and made jokes about her being an angry little gremlin but until I saw her on the chart, I didn't realize just HOW small I had made her.

I think part of it is that you gave your characters very normal humanoid proportions, while the other tiny kobold dude on the lineup near them has more "cartoony" proportions with a larger head and stockier limbs.

Ah yeah, to do that one, I told ChatGPT to make a kobold from dungeons and dragons. Then I told it to make him cute and then described his outfit and gear.
But then I've always tried to make him cutesy to offset what an obnoxious little shit he is as a character.
Humans tend to judge height by comparing the head size to body. So when we see a small head on large body, it makes the character look big even without a known frame of reference other than the head to body ratio. Same principle when making small characters is to have a large head and small body. We also associate this with cuteness because it looks babyish.
Kobby has always been pretty human-proportioned, which, yeah, does look a bit off when made that small. Maybe bigger heads on them might be what they need to be more aesthetically smol.

Ultimately, a character's creator is typically the person with the greatest degree of interest in that character. When you stop posting an OC for a while, it's inevitable that most anons will eventually forget about them even if the character was popular in their own time.
