How powerful and numerous are the Votann anyways? The Imperium obviously has quadrillions of people, the Necrons have quadrillions of robots but most of them are asleep, the Orks outnumber even the humans, Tyrannids can't really be counted, and Chaos is functionally infinite in manpower. Which leaves the Tau and Eldar, both of which are indicated to have roughly equal manpower at merely tens or hundreds of trillions, both being minor powers within the setting. But where do the Votann fall? They were in the galactic core but even after coming out the Imperium hasn't yet declared a crusade for tech heresy which would seemingly indicate them being small and insignificant enough to fall under the radar, possibly even being smaller than the Tau and Eldar. But I don't recall any numbers mentioned.
>>98143592They probably do enough trading not to warrent a crusade. Much like how they had a tense relationship with the tau before the damocles crusade was launched.
>>98143592Post your models and I'll tell you.
Wait why is she three? Aren't dwarves supposed to be old?
>>98144364Most votann kin are clones, bred from stock meant for specific purposes. They can breed normally, but cloning is more efficient for them.
>>98144442That doesn't explain the age. Clone would age at the same pace as the person it was cloned from. Does the whole race mature that fast?
>>98145897Warhammer cloning not normal cloning.
>>98145913fair enough
>>98145897Make the meat, jam some basic memories and training in, send them out to fight. Pretty efficient way to get some bodies on the board. Honestly, I'm surprised the Kriegers don't do it.
>>98143592>Which leaves the Tau and Eldar, both of which are indicated to have roughly equal manpower at merely tens or hundreds of trillions, both being minor powers within the setting. It's amazing you got told you were wrong so much in the 40k general that you made a whole separate thread for this.
>>98144442>>98145897Apparently kin born from their cloning "crucibles" emerge as adults.
>>98143592Would you?
Votann Kin have females?
>>98146165>Honestly, I'm surprised the Kriegers don't do it.Anon...they do. That's like, their entire deal.
>>98148203Damn, I should have trusted them more then. Such is life when discussing the lamest IG subfaction after years of not paying attention to what they were up to.
>>98143592Who cares? As you pointed out numbers are meaningless in 40K. Even the "dwindling" eldar will just poof some no-name craftworlds into existence whenever they need another crippling, tragic loss
>>98148203>Anon...they doThey explicitly only field men because all their women are permanent homeworld breeding stock.Though I wouldn't be surprised if GW backtracks this considering they did so with fucking Custodes of all things.>Vitae wombsWe actually don't know much about these other than that the Mechanicus really doesn't like them.Considering that many(Though not all) mechanicus members, from Tech-priests to Servitors, are vat-grown, it's safe to assume the technology has more going on than just normal cloning for the mechanicus to be pissy about it.
