If you were in charge of writing the End Times for the 40k setting how would you end it in a satisfying way?
>>
Make the Tau win
>>
Big gay orgy
40k is cringe
>>
>>98154156
big event where people can send in their battle reports to influence the story!

totally going to work this time!
>>
>>98154156
Lorgar's twin brother, Morgar, convinces the Silent King to convert to the Imperial Truth and this triggers a Necron 30 Years War type scenario where converts fight a war with heathens.
>>
>>98154156
I wouldn't. I'd end it quickly without a care for quality, just so it's dead. No more shitting out slop that I can't help but keep up with out of a love for something that is hasn't been in two decades.

The Imperium should fall into pieces but at the same time Big E would also take down chaos with it fully sacrificing himself in the process to ensure that even without him humanity would have a future, the Eldar help out on this by taking advantage of Slaanesh being distracted by throwing everything they have into a final assult on its domain to retrieve the final cronwsword, awaken Iniad, and fully defeat Slaanesh, it comes at the great cost of most of them dying in the process but they to will finally have a future, orks get their massive waaagggghhhh from this and eventually are able to evolve back into krorks but comes with a new desire to stampt out a galatic threat, conviently nids have fully arrived so now they get more krumping and fulfilling an urge to eliminate a threat, the two sides eventually wittle each other down, eventually krons join in, all three are reduced to potential threats but now far more managable with the crons also finally gaining the ability to flesh once more or at the very least actually have a proper civilization, tau and votaan aren't really affected by all this beyond having more room to expand in the short term, from all of this the warp gets marorily fucked for a bit due to most of the galaxy pretty much dying along with the energy that once used to be the chaos getting unleashed which also fucks up the webway killing off most of the dark eldar with the survivors being forced to scatter into real space, but from this the warp calms down and starts recovering, perhaps one day it will return to what it once was before the war in heaven but even if it doesn't it calms enough so thats it not an instant nightmare scenario, everybody pretty much starts rebuilding which while hard at first eventually results in a renisance

If you put me in charge of the End Times
>the Nids make it to the Sol System
>the Void Dragon on Mars awakens a hidden Necron contingent, not a full tomb world just its goons - maybe they bring other Necrons from the rest of the galaxy as well
>there is a three way battle for Earth that becomes a six way when Chaos, Orks, and Eldar all decide to shoot their shot
>Abaddon fights his way to the Golden Throne and duels with Guilliman, the Emperor has a suicide button prepared
>Earth blows up, the Emperor ascends to full Godhood
>the whole galaxy is consumed in a massive warpstorm, but some (not all) Imperial worlds are shielded by the Emperor's hand (this may not be without consequences now that the Emperor is a warp god, but whatever)
>Eldar escape into the Webway, followed by the Necrons
>the Tau have, for reasons, developed a means of survival as well; with some hints as to their true origins whatever those might be
>the galaxy eventually calms down, all the factions poke their heads out of hiding
>the galaxy is infected with the psychic reflections of Earth (as it was ground zero of the warp bomb) but also every single major warzone of humanity (the Emperor's memories of the fallen)
>this infection is not a good thing and can cause old battles to repeat for all eternity as well as other mutagenic effects, but it does cause a terraforming effect that helps speed recolonization
>the Tau reemerged first, and are now a major galactic power (and have been hit with the Terra memory infection the hardest)
>the biggest loser in all this are the Nids, who are left with nothing but a single genestealer cult, however they are slowly rebuilding their hive fleet from nothing
>orks are fine, thanks for asking
>the Chaos Gods are oddly absent at first, or are they? The answer lies within the Terra infection (basically the Four Gods are trapped inside the Emperor's shattered memories and have to fight their way out)
After that, slow return to status quo.

Write the true name of the GW employee who authorised this retarded move, causing him to disappear back into Hell
>>
>>98154438
That would be the best good ending.
>>
>>98154438
I actually like this ending.
This better not be AI generated or I’m gonna feel the pain those anons did when they thought a sonic doodle was soulful and it was actually AI.
>>
>>98154156
Post your models an I'll tell you.

Kill off the Imperium and fragment it into a million petty kingdoms and star systems. Have abbadon succeed in a run on Terra, but the instant they take the planet his forces disintegrate as everyone fights over the scraps while the Horrors kept under the palace get out and terrorise the galaxy. Terra is lost, and Mars is damaged, but not destroyed. The institutions like the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy still exist, but in a fractured state of civil war. The Guard turns into little more than mercenary companies for hire. The Space Marine chapters no longer fight for the Imperium, they fight for themselves, and you have Ultramar and some other big areas of space running independently while other Chapters are left to fend for themselves. Some turn into renegades little better than pirates, other desperately cling to their mission to safeguard humanity despite their dwindling resources, and others fall to chaos or keep their allegiance silent. You can have big narrative campaigns about the orks taking armaggedon and forming an empire, factions banding together to stop the tyranids or necrons, etc. etc. Narrative progress while keeping the reason to have all the models still around.

Cool stories, Anons

Orks and Nids consume everything in a never-ending war of Octarius 2.0

10K years later a small holdout of humans, tau, and eldar that managed to dodge the carnage reemerge, ushering in the Age of Squigmar
>>
>>98154156
honestly a series of branching scenario books and novels for each faction with different endings depending on who wins would be fine and you could reset the canon to before all that happened for the next edition.
>>
>>98154156
Big fucking clusterfuck final war. Make everyone use their superweapons and be cool as shit. The dust settles on a galaxy mostly wiped clean and covered in ruins, with minor successor, vestige and upstart powers left sitting in the rubble, slowly starting to rebuild, ultimately towards more war.
>>
>>98154156
40k is the endtimes retard. It's already endless war all the time. If literally anything happens there would be LESS war.
