this board used to be better before this emerged
>>98167073Stop complaining, liberal.
>>98167073It's no different now. The CYOA threads are quests in everything but name. The sporadic >be me threads are quests in everything but name. Puckee spam's the new "Excuse me Comissar" or "Elf slave, wat do."
>>98167128you get banned for the last two nowthey've got a pass back in the day
>>98167073Yes, but they're not correlated. 4chan was much better before 2016, but /qst/ wasn't the thing that made the site shit.We made enough of a splash with our shenanigans to garner the attention of certain vested interests, and they finally worked out how to destroy us when conventional weapons proved useless.
>>98167073If you love quests so much, why aren't you contributing on /qst/ instead of bitching at /tg/, which does not want quests?
>>98167073Like >>98167213 said, quests were shit and deserve their shithole. Reddit killing /r/thedonald was the event that enshittened all of 4chan. Though one also might posit that Anon becoming a personal army during Project Chanology and Gamergate was the beginning of the enshittening.
>>98167694>Anon becoming a personal army during Project Chanology and Gamergate was the beginning of the enshittening.Chanology was the first time Anon proved it was a force to be reckoned with. Gamergate showed that said force was politically relevant, much like Occupy.Occupy was deterred by conventional tactics (principally infiltration, policing and allegations of sexual misconduct, just like the hippies and many other movements). 4Chan was resistant to infiltration (culturally unfamiliar, activity was actually performed by small groups linked by various dispersed technological networks) and police were slow to find individuals to act against. Sexual misconduct allegations were at once fatuous (we were all clearly isolated virgins) and obvious (/d/).The project to destroy anonymous online groups like 4Chan started with long studies to understand board culture and create the environment to infiltrate. I have no doubt that people arrested for cybercrime and the like will have been quietly debriefed in return for leniency. Then they went to work on enlisting help from within, just like the CIA would do with foreign lands. They picked a familiar subgroup whose aims were not being served and who could be directed: /pol/. That group could then be fostered into a dominant role on the site and yet beholden to their sponsors. They already had a good understanding of right-wing groups and those methods proved effective. With the right mix of provocateurs, influence over leadership (moot and then hiroshimoot), and increasingly automated posting (the antispam measures don't apply to bots when the admin chooses to whitelist them). Now we have a site ruled by an emboldened class of dipshits who believe themselves persecuted, I suspect automated posting accounts for some half of the activity, and fully complicit leadership and moderation.
>>98167073Yes but we're not allowed to talk about it. I doubt even quarantining generals would save this board now.
>>98167979Good post.Moot was right about gamergate.
>>98167694>>98167213Chanology, MLP, The Fappening, Moot being a literal cuck, and then GamerGate emptying out much of the oldfag userbase, finally followed by the full auto clip emptying event that was the 2016 election, which truly killed this place. And right around that time, they introduced /qst/ after most people either ended or gave up their quests, and the new userbase of redditors and feds weren't interested in quests.
>>98167694Sound logic, but;>AI is shit and deserves its shithole.>Anime is shit and deserves its shithole.>Cartoons and comics are shit and deserve their shithole.>E-celebs are shit and deserve their shithole.>Films and television are shit and deserve their shithole.>History is shit and deserves its shithole.>Literature is shit and deserves its shithole.>Lore is shit and deserves its shithole.>Politics are shit and deserve their shithole.>Queers and minorities are shit and deserve their shithole.>Settings and worldbuilding are shit and deserve their shithole.>Theater is shit and deserves its shithole.>Video games are shit and deserve their shithole. But here we are, dealing with all of that anyway.
>>98168866You don't sound like a very happy individual.
>>98167128CYOA threads are significantly worse than quests.I like to imagine if quest culture survived on /tg/, they would hate anyone trying to use AI art for his quest to high heaven. It's draw or die.
>>98168908I just clicked on /qst/ and they're using AI right now.
>/qst/ in op>thread is full of subhuman larpers copingMaybe a faggot op is right and once a pride month.
>>98168866But none of that is true? You're just a jaded miserable loser.
>>98167128>>98168908Why are CYOAs still allowed anyway? Never understood that.
>>98168866Post models.
>>98167213>>98167694You don't sound like a very happy individual.
>>98167213The problem is simple, it was we got popular. Once everything else got woke and people couldn't talk they went here and the fags followed, and since we won't be hostile as we used to to chase them out. (As well as purge the woke fags that sneak into mods.) We have to deal with their shit more till we learn or this site shuts down.
/qst/ splitting off was the best thing to happen to questing and this board in general. You can still see the original spirit of /tg/ there, today some ten years after the split you go there and see dozens of high quality writefriends, skirmishbros, and drawGODS running quests in every genre. Go to this board ten years later? It's unusable trash. And no, we don't want you over here. Keep out, you were filtered for a reason.
>>98170207>everything else got woke and people couldn't talkI've been coming here for nearly twenty years and I can assure you that this place is a lot less woke than it ever used to be. Admittedly it used to be more acerbic and shock-humour oriented, but the stormfags have gone from strength to strength.
>>98167128>>98167213>>98167548>>98167694But none of that is true? You're just a jaded miserable loser.
>>98170885This isn't /lgbt/. We don't care about "your truth," you trooned out faglord.
>>98170885You are so alone in your obsession with quests that you would rather be here angrily lying at fa/tg/uys instead of supporting the dying quests board you are so angry at. Do you even actually like quests?
>>98169631The anti-quest janny that pushed for the creation of /qst/ likes them, that's literally it.Confirmed in the /j/ leaks.
>>98167073>Complaining about something over a decade oldActually kill yourself, unironically.
>>98170936>>98172843You don't sound like a very happy individual.
No horse in the /qst/ race, don't really care one way or the other. But it is weird that free form GMless pbp is okay on /tg/ but GM driven games are /qst/. I don't get that one.
