>I tell ya I get no respect, no respect>I walked into the inn and the barkeep said "Why the long ears?"
>>98187193Kek. Rodney Dangerfield is one of the only comedians of that era that still holds up. Anyone have any recommendations of other comedians from that era they think still hold up?
>I was an ugly kid I tell ya. I was so ugly, when I looked at a gorgon, SHE turned to stone
>>98187237Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Norm Macdonald, Katt Williams, Dave Chappelle
>>98190825Dennis Leary may have ripped off Bill HIck's, but he also polished it up and somehow succeeded in avoiding whatever made Hick's so deeply unlikable. It's weird how they can both go on stage and have a persona that's just "be an asshole", and somehow the guy who stole the other guy's material is the one who seems like less of an insufferable ass.
>>98190866I think Hicks is less of an ass but that might be because my first exposure to him was the "Just a ride." bit, in the Illegal Batman comic.
Even back in my wizard days, I got no respect. I've told my familiar to go scout, he went scouting for a better job!
>>98190866This guy works in marketing.
>>98190825It’s like that tragedy, the istvan drop site massacre!
>>98190866Bill was kind of that ass but you still hang with him cause you used to him and he was a friend. Dennis is the classic used car salesman. What he said didn't feel like something he came up with but practice in the mirror and all. That classic you know they would sell you a lemon without a second thought, compared to mocking your new used car but more in good fun just doesn't hold back.
