What do you do Anons in Dune Imperium: Uprising to avoid these niggers?
The Meta now feels like it's worm niggers or nothing, should I just wait until Bloodlines?
>>

Racism isn't cool.
>>
>>98189279
Bloodlines gives you some other options both for winning fights and just scoring but I mean yeah, anon, worms doubling combat rewards is so strong you should expect the game to end once multiple VP combats start coming out. If you don't like worms play Dune Imperium 1e.

I don't think it's "ruining the game" it's just a different pace of game. I still overall prefer Uprising for the better cards, spies and action spaces. Heighliner giving you water back in the first game is so fucking stupid.

Wrong.
Racism is the foundation of all good storylines.
That or slavery.
Or rape.
Ideally you balance all three like the humours in a body, if you succeed, a classic comes out, if you fail, you get an edgy mess.
>>
>>98191430
Yeah sure but that doesnt make spamming nigger cool.
>>
>>98191465
He wasn't spamming it. He literally typed it out once.
>>
>>98189279
You should get a cheap copy of non-Uprising Dune Imperium, the superior game in every way

Play more reps, you'll learn that worms are A strategy not THE strategy.

I find it's often more effective to rush Gather Supplies(especially when multiple people are going Fremen for Worms) to get to 3 water for the first Deep Desert to get 6/7 spice if you're playing in 3/4th position. If you can pickup a Harvest +3 contract along the way you'll be well on your way having the Solari for High Council to ensure you can afford expensive cards like Overthrow, and you'll be flush with spice to go Highliner on a critical battle or go to Shipping if you need more cash for High Council/Sword Master.

Uprising is better on every front, quit being a dumb nostalgia nigger
>>

The worms make the combats too swingy and valuable, it's not an improvement. The new overpowered cards solve the non-existent problem of not being able to pull off MTG tier combos every turn and the spies solve the non existent problem of hurt feefees when someone takes your spot you really wanted. They slopified D.I. for people who were excited about the movies but don't actually want to play difficult games. Aside from all that it's a horseshit cash grab to put out a new version of a game instead of a patch for the old one just to tie into a movie release.

If you walk without rhythm you won't attract the worm.

I've played both and massively disagree. You can check worms in combat pretty easily, massive deployment of troops is still how a dominating advantage accrues. The cards in Uprising are 1000000% less powerful than the cards in the base game. There is no Kwisatz Haderach here. The cheaper cards are much more usable so you don't get deckbuilding locked. Spies put a loss/gain on using them for access or draw and allow the base deck to have much less space access, which again makes acquiring cards and fighting for positions much more interesting. The spaces are also just better designed in Uprising.

I won almost all Imperium games I played in my friend group. I have a much more even win split in Uprising. I think it is a harder not an easier game with Uprising. There is more decision space and less just taking the best action available to you on your turn. And Swordmaster is weaker, too. So many base D:I games were just about the best early sequence to T2 Swordmaster.

In D.I. I could decide to let a combat or 2 slide and not give the game away, but in D.I.U I feel like I have to get into all of them at 4p just to block somebody from walking away with 5 points. Sure, Kwisatch Haderach is better than any new card, but it's 1 card that nobody can afford anyway. I don't like the better cheap cards because I liked having to agonize over what would actually help my deck instead of just spending all my dough on whatever like in every other deckbuilding game. I'm not surprised we have different opinions, though, I won a handful of times over 50ish plays of D.I. and 5/6 times playing D.I.U. Why is Swordmaster weaker?

>Yellow Bile
This is probably racism.
>Black Bile
Can be slavery, duh.
>Blood
Rape? This one seems sort of close.
>Phlegm
A catchall for other bad choices or being a shitter?
This feels like a 90s White Wolf heart breaker already.

Fewer fast plays to it and a discount for 2nd and onwards players who buy it. That's interesting about the win rates though. I still feel I'm pretty selective about card buys in DIU, maybe I shouldn't be.

I guess, there's less on-board sources of Solari but it seems like there's so much floating around elsewhere that I get the Swordmaster by round 4 anyway. I do like what they did with Mentat, though. It was cool to have the tempo change but too much it ended up 1 guy going there every turn like slot machine.
>>
>>98193080
Mentat was also just absurdly good for Leto and Ilban. I hesitate to say the leaders are overall improved though because there are still some really strong ones and some who just seem dead in the water. Chani is really bad, Gurney is both very good and braindead which is a bad combo.

RE: Swordmaster there are a pretty wide variety of leaders in D:I that can get it round 2. Depends whether you are playing with Ix/Immo or not but I think Beast, Leto and Memnon all can even base game.

It's Incest.
Can't have a classic without incest.
