I'm about to start running Ashes Without Number as a "solo" (1 player 1 GM) game over PbP (because I think 1-on-1 games are the only way PbP really works, at least in my experience). Looking for advice on the system. Also I want to do "heroic" rules for the character, even though he'll have a couple NPC companions, and I figured maximum hit points at level 1 would be a good way of doing it? I didn't really like the other rules.

If you don't like Psychics, replace it with a class or adventurer combination from one of the other 3.

in fact, you could just run SWN but with CWN operators, just remember they either need lots of cyberware access or an extra edge at level 3 as per the AWN rules.

Will that be too much? The guns do a fair bit of damage but idk if I want PCs having 10 hp on average. just don't want them starting with 2.

Do you have sauce for the HP=CON variant? As in, which system / book it's in? So I can read more about it, and how they suggest you shift the game around it.
