If we're doing a "historical documents of /tg/ value" thread, I really want to mention Ogier Ghiselin de Busbecq's Turkish Letters. Absolute worldbuilding gold mine, Busbecq describes so many weird traditions and practices from the Balkans and Asia Minor that you can just lift wholesale for any fantasy setting and it'll be ten times more interesting than whatever generic fantasy soup you can cook up on your own.
For example, these pages where he talks about what he has heard of the Georgians could make an excellent basis for a halfling culture, since they're all lazy, promiscuous and bon vivant thieves.

>>98199714That's as much as we get on the Georgians.
>>98199717Of huge stature for a halfling mind you (1m66). Besides if you want more barbarian-coded stuff, there are endless anecdotes on the Turks and Hungarians that fit better.
There's also this very horny live action version from 1972.https://ok.ru/video/9252991273609
>>98199197Sad that they never seem to give credit for the soundtrack, it sounds a lot like Pyewackett to me.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6AOuBWt3AM

>>98219370>surprisingly hornyIn general, or even for the Decameron?
