It adds area's for more focused targeting as well so if you wanted to change very specific parts of a prompt like just how far from the screen the person is you can modify that in the finished meta prompt. Also, more vaguely worded base prompts get better benefits because the meta prompt shows you how it was going to interpret the prompt you put in for the image generation. So it's giving you the opportunity to fine tune that as a spell check so to speak.

Dall-E is finally dead, btw. Bing is using MAI for two of it's three engine slots: "Stylized Illustration", and "Vivid and Natural". Neither of which are accurate descriptions of the results.
