Enough with all this posting about the "local lord", let's hear more from the town guards who keep us safe from the REAL threats.
>>98202374Town Guard; 8HP, Morale 7; Medium Armor (d4); Halberd (d8).Also, In b4 the discord trannies who bitch about the guy who commissions these pieces
>>98202389Everything is pucklefuck art at this point. Half the time I'm not sure these faggots even bother to check. Even then, the art itself isn't a big deal so much as the constant posting of the same threads over and over again with it.
>>98202389>defending a redditor spamming the boardKys
>>98202505>Thinking it's actually him posting these janny protected threads.
>>98202406They have some sort of weird autistic obsession with checking to see if anything has been posted by puckee before.
>>98202374>Full Harness>LongswordThat is NOT a town guard. That's a woman larping as her knight husband.
>>98202374>tfw a thief steals my coin purse and the guard ignores him while he runs past>I demand they do something and they backhand me with their gauntlet>the same guard later is harassing a couple of halfling farmers selling produce from their wagon >He keeps insisting the produce must be stolen "because everyone knows halflings are too lazy for real work and only good at thieving".Yeah, sure, the real threats.
>>98202389This isn't puckslop. Thread's still shit and you're still a nonce, though.
>>98202571Keeping out the freaks and bottom-feeding scum just like the Lord would demand. I see nothing wrong here.
>>98202637Looks like one of the discord trannies found the thread.
>>98202374This looks like shit.
>>98202389>standing up for the redditGOD who keeps this board aliveLive happily>>98202505Say, "Thank you Puckee, we havent been turned into /vtt/" right this instant
>>98202637By their logic because it was posted by puckee it is puckslophttps://www.reddit.com/r/armoredwomen/comments/uinpyu/knight_by_yoo_g_im/
Fuck off.

>>98202374town guards are something of a ahistorical oddity"town" guards would be more like regular soldiers on garrison dutyobviously since your setting is not real life, you can have dedicated soldiers whose only job is to clank around town in full maille, kite shield, and spearbut it would be fun to come up with a reason for why a random town needs to have the equivalent of the army rangers chasing down hoodlums
>>98202961On the point of not a real world, we need to reinforce that thought. Fantasy Adventure Games never try to emulate the real world, even those that claim they do. They're emulating the aesthetics of the real world at best but are more actually Spaghetti Westerns, Samurai flicks, and World War movies with a Conan or Tolkien-inspired coat of paint. But it also depends on your definition of town. Towns don't always refer to unwalled thorps and hamlets. That's what those words are for. Even a Village, which would have a proper (if only wood) wall at most is too small to have a guard. But anything with a military defensible wall would have a subset of the militia on patrol duty. They wouldn't be fantasy beat cops the way we think of them, but they'd be there on patrol.
In the words of MGMT: "Policemen swear to God, love seeping from their gunsI know my friends and I would probably turn and run"
>>98202988Fuck you for this
>>98202374Town watch gotta be mean bastards, they have to be as they gotta curb stomp the adventure party when they try to do something stupid
>>98203039To be fair to the wailing bint, an appeal to legality in a civilized country that you gain any degree of benefit from isn't a logical fallacy. Also consider necromancy breaks the NAP if the dead person (last known owner of the corpse) or family (current owner) doesn't grant permission.
>>98202520>autistic obsession with checkingIt's not obsession to be able to recognize the same two dozen(if that) images spammed again and again on this board.
>Be Town Guard operating in the Ruinkeep>A town made in the ruins of the old evil lord's fortress from centuries ago>Job is a mix of patrolling the walls and town >Armour is reinforced leather, we only pull the plate out in dire situations>Other half is operating as detectives to solve murder cases>Just last week a body was found carved with strange symbols in the flesh >We sent out Ravens to local scholars to see if they know anything Thats how Guards work in a town in my DMs setting, they do also tend to look the other way mostly when the money of the noble houses are involved seeing as local gangs tend to be in cahoots.
Blow it out your ass, Zak Gilmore.
>>98202374that's a royal knight not a town guard. With a jousting helmet with no breath holes. Gonna exhaust himself in 10 seconds top. This is a city guard. A town guard will have even less armor.>>98203122damn, you posted them already.
>>98202520>t. sub 70 IQ cretin discovering other people have basic pattern recognition skills
>>98204338It was the first thing that came to mind on what to post, and I love the books
>>98202961They existed, they just weren't nearly as ubiquitous as fantasy implies, and particularly wouldn't be seen faffing around in a hamlet unless something happens to draw them there.
>>98202389It's not puckee, but it's still a Redditfag.Eat shit.
>>98204275But getting your discord group to ritual post the same five or six responses kinda is, and coding a bot that scans the archive for all the times its been used before definitely is.
>>98204924Oh, is the poor little discord tranny pissed? Why don't you go and whine to the mods about it, faggot.kys
>>98203163>necromancy breaks the NAP if the dead person (last known owner of the corpse) or family (current owner) doesn't grant permissionHoly FUCK i am using this from now on
