Was the second Lemurian Chronicles book Ludospherik did worth the dosh, or even the time spent reading it?
>>98204955>Veiled GodMan, I'm still mad this comic series never finished
>>98204955First one was ok.
>>98204955>random african and asian in the middlenope
>>98213109Lemuria was literally supposed to have been a land bridge between Africa and Asia, anon.
>>98213384The first Lemurian Chronicles also details not-China/Mongolia specifically, lol.
>>98207523Author got scared of how hard he was peaking, I bet.
>>98204955No new lands in that one, I know. I think I read it mostly fleshes out Satarla.
>>98213384>>98213476Nta, I'm interested and would like to know more but the other anon is right in that it's a pretty heuristic for dodging crap usually.
>>98213693The dirka is on the cover of the core book. BoL is a general pastiche of s&s fiction and includes not-Africans and Asians I the typical pulp orientalist fashion.Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
>>98213777Cool, it sounds neat. Any good places to read more? Any and everything revolving around pre flood continents is of immediate interest to me. For the record, I meant to say I was interested in the contents of the book itself because I never heard about it, while also defending the other anons basic point.
>>98214147Oh, Barbarians of Lemuria should be available in the share thread, but there's lots of reviews and let's-plays if you google it. Some free adventures, too, at places like the Strange Stones blog. It's a 2d6 v 9 system by default aimed at one shot or short pulp adventures, and I recommend going up to 2d10 v 12 or 13 if you want a longer game. It's fairly rules-light, with spinoffs like Everywhen or Honor+Intrigue adding more depth to combat. The latest edition is Mythic, specifically the Ludospherik version (they bought the rights to the system from its creator, and are responsible for making 3 splats, 2 of which are in English and one still only in French). The actual setting depicted in the core rulebook is pretty bare bones and boilerplate, but leaves you room to fill in the blanks in an unobtrusive way. You have you basic variety of city-states full of murder and Intrigue thriving in a post-apocalypse of a post-apocalypse caused by, who else, evil sorcerers. Races include humans, winged men, blue giants, ape-men called grooth, and the artificially grown one-eyed kalukhan (who got a specific adventure for them in Lemurian Chronicles 1).
>>98214187Seems cool, I'm gonna go find it in the share threads and give it a read. Been in the mood for something light. Thanks anon.
>>98216702Have fun.Cover from the Ludospherik core book related. Emmanuel Roudier is great.
I don't have an answer for OP, but since this is a perfectly serviceable thread, any fellow GMs got tips for keeping Mythic's combat interesting? I don't want to rely on players mother-may-Iing it to make it more varied and want to introduce some stuff in encounters myself without layering too much on them.
