>>98208306I've got some questions for our vampires.>RosaYou've been around the block a few times and you're clearly more adaptable than most elders. What do you make of the sudden influx of low generation vampires? Are you anticipating something big?>MontgomeryIn a world where computers are still incredibly niche, how do you feel about Rosa being one of the few to catch on to the latest trend? Do you consider cyberspace to be part of your domain?>SalvatoreAt some point you diablerized a methuselah, and in so doing you dropped below your sire's generation. Whatever modifications she made to you to make you resemble her lost husband can now be felt. You can heal from them if you so choose. What's it like perpetually feeling your twisted flesh and knowing the subtle changes she made to turn you into someone else?>ElizabethYou were a university graduate before your embrace. Critical thinking should have been chief among the traits Oxford instilled in you. These past 10 years have you ever once questioned the blood bond you're under? How do you rationalize the devotion you feel towards your sire? Is the bond a variable you account for? Or do you genuinely believe all of your desires happen to align with hers?>IvoryAre you already perfect, or is your form a work in progress? Do you only care about your own form, or do you seek to improve upon others as well? What do you feel when you see super models and Olympians that the rest of humanity considers the pinnacle of human form?

>>98208510>RosaMy biggest clients are never the thinblood childer, but they are some of the more interesting projects I've had over the years. The things the kine have invented are so very delicious, and if you give a ''chemist'' a hundred years to perfect his 'product' then it becomes that much more valuable to the right buyer. Procurement of talent used to be such a drag, but there are entire organizations of kine selling eachother unknowingly as cattle. It makes it so much easier to retrieve just the right snack for a picky client. The most distateful thing with the modern nights is the poor poor spirits of the Animals. Have you seen what the kine have done to their noble companions? Dogs who can barely breath. And they call us the monsters.

>>98208510>SalvatoreEven if undoing the changes were possible, what would be the point? He can't see his reflection well, and if he did, the face that'd stare at him would be a stranger. Artemisia kidnapped him when he was a toddler and moulded him as he was growing up. In a way, this form is the only one he knows. He could change himself into something else (and sometimes temporarily does, mostly when using the war form), but to turn himself into what he would look like if he hadn't met Artemisia would be extremely difficult. In the rare moments of lucidity when his willpower cuts through the blood bond, the resentment and jealousy over being a replacement grows, and the desire to sculpt his own visage rises, but those moments tend to be too short to realize that desire.>EveryoneAfter the rework, the "drug lord" description seems a bit much when his business now is mostly prescription drugs and PEDs rather than the typical street drugs, with a significant part of the income coming through legal channels (just fluffing the low overall Notoriety and zeroed Drug Lab Notoriety).
>>98208879Well it's not like he was always a vampire. He had to grow up before being embraced because otherwise he'd be permanently stuck as a child. So he definitely knows what he's supposed to look like, and with Vicissitude it's more than possible to put an eye on his hand and look at himself.
>>98208893Artemisia embraced him once he grew up, but she started fleshcrafting him to make him look like Salvatore before that. The second part is fair, though.
>>98208731Anyone writing for this?
>>98208934it's been dead for yearsit's posted by one anon who's mentally ill and can't let it go
>>98208935More than one.
>>98208012Without knowing who this is from, it's probably fine. Initially it's that he's supposed to be at least semi-hidden, semi-secret, with a lot of his activities having the plausible deniability of having been some other Nosferatu (after all, who keeps track of what those sewer rats are up to?). Having definite knowledge of his existence means getting through all his stealth disciplines, monitoring the Nosferatu activities closely, or knowing/having the respect of his Sire and/or the Prince, and maybe other Primogens who would be the few told he exists. But ultimately after some indeterminate time everyone will know everyone in the MP so this description is fine.
>>98208510>MontgomeryMontgomery is incredibly annoyed that Rosa is pushing up on his domain, and even more annoyed that the geriatric fuck is lower gen than his Sire AND runs two Elysiums, which means bullying her out the simple way is waaaay out of the question. The phones especially peeve him. SchreckNet is for Nossie use only, damn it-as much as he does enjoy getting unsuspecting licks shadowbanned and watching them wonder if no one is interacting because they arent Nosferatu (as if they could tell through the screen, hah). He considers cyberspace to be Nosferatu domain before his domain, though his Sire isn't tech-savvy and the local Nosferatu presence isn't actually very high. He represents them on the Net through burners and sockpuppets and he does the work of a handful of Nosferatus on his own for his Sire, just to keep the illusion of a decently high Nossie presence up. All the more reason for him to hate Rosa pushing on the turf; it makes way more work for him and his to try and keep a monopoly.
>>98208515What do you mean by are we satisfied with our descriptions?
>>98209357>>Build List>https://rentry.org/547i2532
>>98208515>>98208879I just noticed that Obfuscate is missing from Salvatore's list of powers.
>>98208306How does Humanity interact with the Detached curse? Because Humanity is supposed to make you more human right? That would include empathy.
>>98209518For PCs, some of the empathy effects seem to be rolled into Curses.
>>98209541I see the empaty curse but that doesn't seem about emotion, it's about pain sharing.
>>98208306Can we make custom chronicles?
>>98209578There is also stuff like cold and so on, which normally can be a sideffect of low humanity.
>>98209362Whose perspective are these meant to be written from? The characters themselves, the world's view of them, or vampire society's view of them? Or something else?
>>98208306I had an idea, but I don't know if it works. Can I have a mutated sire? I would need it for plot reasons, some things would make no sense otherwise. I think lore wise it makes sense, it's a very high gen and from what I gather mutations get more likely the higher gen you are.
>>98209652What exactly do you mean?
>>98208515>WarrenWell within every successful lie or story there exists a grain of truth. It's up to the person being fed these things to determine exactly how much of either there are. While it's obvious now that vampires exist amongst mortal men, he's not sure about the rest. At least, he hasn't been exposed to too much outside of the Cainites at the moment. Even "Cainite" is a term that's still strange to him, but he's more open to the idea of Cain existing, just not it being the 1:1 version of the biblical Cain. He believes that the stories of Cain being the progenitor of vampires are likely to be true, but it doesn't confirm much else from the Bible. Vampirism seems like a extreme bloodborne disease, and if the stories of the lower generations are to be believed, they run up far back to the past. possibly beyond recorded history. Much like how Jesus was likely a real person who had significant impact during his life, but details about his birth and the holy feats he displayed may be a result of exaggeration or an author's/witness interpretation of events. It's hard to say exactly what went down if you weren't there, and there's not many Kindred who were even around that time or are currently in a state to dispute it.Still, he hasn't made his living (more of a hobby really) off of being closed-minded. It'll take some time to really get to the bottom of things but there's real power to be found in looking through history for answers. Currently he thinks that most Vampire's are simply repeating a version of events that they wish to be true. Similar to the Setites who stand by Set as the true cursed one who passed it down to the rest. Despite all of this, Warren doesn't fully believe in true Gods or Deities. There are definite supernatural aspects, like moonlight not burning Kindred. He'll respect them in front of others, sure, but considering the lack of involvement nowdays it's hard to have faith. I mean, where's God been? Leaving us to clean up his mess?
>>98209670I essentially just need to swap out a curse because of plot reasons. It's the Detached curse, it makes you not care about anything, but that makes the plot I was thinking of impossible, because it requires caring about stuff.Alternatively I could try to make it so my character is the extremely mutated one, even more than it already is. But that one is mechanically a much bigger stretch, and it would probably cause more problems with the thread. Even if lore wise it would be a similar thing.
>>98209714True Brujah clan curse, I'm guessing? Personally, I'd say that if you take Unlikely Alterations as your Unnatural Embrace, you could say you're using it to swap a Curse of your Sire rather than your own. Not as intended, but fair enough imo.
>>98207400Hey, compilation anon, I was looking at this and noticed you missed something. Contact 35 also has Celerity and Quietus, I noticed beacuse the Quietus row shows only 17, while the Assamite Sorcery one has both 17 and 35, they are clan disciplines so it seemed strange they didn't have both.I don't know if you missed something else, but I can take a look at the rest in a bit if you want.
>>98209739>True Brujah clan curse, I'm guessing?Yes, but technically also Lasombra. I would have less trouble going Lasombra tho.Which blood pool would I use for it? It's technically an alteration on the sire and it's not like my character is the one directly altering them, but the alteration is mine. I was planning to take it anyway for my guy, since he also has to care, even if maybe it would be funnier if he didn't? so it doesn't change that much.
>>98209739>>98209908It ate the last part. What if I change both to the same thing? Can it count as hereditary then?
>>98209908>technically also LasombraWhat? That's the more confusing part for me. I know Baali have a special ritual to turn someone into their clans, but for other clans, you're only one, no?>>98209914I'd say pay -1 blood from Childe and -1 blood from Sire. It's going beyond the typical change so a bit of an extra cost makes sense to me, and it's not much either way.
>>98208510My current form is the most aesthetically pleasing of my great works. Some of the others are more practical and closer to perfection but hardly fit for polite kindred society.<Ah...The last time I got to stretch my wings...Good times.>One never truly can be satisfied however, there is always an improvement to be made. Improving others is a good way to expand ones knowledge, someday the village fool may stumble upon something so simple and obvious that the scholar overlooked it. The kine have such a narrow view of what they could be, they do not employ nearly half of what methods they should to improve their performance in their contests. Back in my day the pet projects of my kin would compete in truly breathtaking displays of function and form. If I were to pick an ideal of theirs I enjoy, it would never be the models. So superficial, so flimsy, truly they embody the narrow minded midiom 'Beauty is only skin deep' atleast the athletes have honed their bodies for their chosen pursuits.
>>98209932>What? That's the more confusing part for me.I meant that Detached can also be the Lasombra clan Bane, but it would be easier for me if I was going for that because I could just switch it to the other clan bane. Most of the 13 clans have 2 banes to choose from, the dead lines only have 1 bane. I didn't mean my guy is somehow 2 clans. I was planning to give him Obtenebration but I don't think that's enough to be mistaken for one.>I'd say pay -1 blood from Childe and -1 blood from Sire.I guess I will write it down like that, as you said it's not much and I think I do have some blood spare.
Rolled 1 (1d2)>>98208306I should roll for this before I forget.
>>98209992Ah okay. I just remembered someone wanted to make a True Brujah so that's why that was my guess. Godspeed.
>>98208306Vampires, whats your builds favorite Discipline, and whats their favorite technique within it? How many dots do they have?
>>98208935We could start anew. Wipe the slate clean with a new run.
surprised no one made a little girl who's actually a 1000 year old vampire
>>98210660Thats only been suggested about a thousand times already
>>98210732That was going to be my sire, but I changed it. I think it will still end up that way but the age will be less extreme.
>>98210827We could have been on MHA 1000 by now...
>>98210732It’d have to be a weird vamp disguising themselves with vicissitude because most of vamp society does not approve of embracing children, since it’s pretty fucked to trap someone in an underdeveloped body for eternity. Also a pretty big masquerade risk since you’re expecting someone who’s so young to truly understand what is at stake. Even then going to get side eyed for choosing to look so young.
>>98210957So your saying Tzicisme
>>98210957One would have to assume it was some kind of "oh shit I am basically out of vitae" into "there is literally one bloodbag near me and its that girl" i guess. Like an embrace of desperation maybe and damn the consequences
>>98210993Pretty much, since being extremely weird is their forte.>>98211004Embracing someone vs just drinking them dry is much different, because you have to feed them your blood after drinking all the blood out of their body to turn them into a Kindred. There's not really any justifiable reason to do so, as it's extremely unlikely you'd ever be given the greenlight by someone high up in the first place, and it'd more of being something like the individual is dying and the only solution your mind goes to is letting them live on as a being cursed to never grow older or seeing the sunlight again while forced to drink the blood of others unless they want to go insane and berserk on the next living thing they see. It's really not something that happens a lot or should happen in the first place because its not a matter of survival to bring someone else into the mix, and instead you'd have to be a really fucked up vampire or just a really crazy one, as at the end of the day you are killing a child and resurrecting them to be your childe forever.
>>98211004Nta but the embrace is the opposite, they drink your blood, so you would never do that when you are running out of juice.
>>98211029>"local vampire turned into giblets by lower gen vampire, child nearly drowned in bloodsplosion, gets it in their mouth and now is acting really weird, news at 11"
>>98211022Nta, there is an option for an illegal embrace so...
>>98211085Yeah I'm just saying there can't be much room to play it as anything but a huge taboo. It's going to be hard to become the 1000 year old vampire when at every step of the way you're going to be considered a mistake, and forget trying to gain respect or getting a position of power for similar reasons. It's much harder for a minor to maneuver around mortal society as people will be much quicker to ask why it seems like you're never aging. Imagine having to create a new identity every 2 years or even less. In this situation you'd pretty much have to have a Sire to help you, but since they're the person who fucked up in the first place bringing you into this mess, they might have already been killed off or taken a massive hit to their reputation as well.
>>98211121Imagine the sheer unbridled levels of short man syndrome overload. Itd be hilarious.
>>98210957It's not common, but it's not like embracing children doesn't happen:https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Vasilisa
>>98211219Theres a flaw for it I think but its basically a instant red flag that any player that takes it needs to be taken out back and shot
>>98211262If you're not inserting your fetishes into the game, are you even playing WoD?
>>98210957>It would have to be a weird vamp disguising themselves with vicissitude because otherwise you'd have (challenges that would make the character more interesting)why are so many of you like this
>>98211298its because we want to fuck eachothers builds and we feel weird doing it if they are too young.
>>98211298I don't get what you really mean by this. I'm not saying those challenges are impossible, I'm saying those challenges are the least you can expect if you go down that route, because it's not the norm. At no point was it said you can't do any of those things, but this is how it's pretty much going to play out.I can't really tell if you actually want people playing as children vampires or not though.
>>98211314You said those challenges are the reason why you'd have to make it a vicissitude disguise. Have to. You used the words you did for a reason.
>>98210068Didn't realize there was another prompt. Warren's bread and butter is Chimerstry, but it's underappreciated by him as he doesn't realize the full extent of which he and his sire wields it, as Alonso's usage of the discipline naturally seeps into the world around him without effort and Warren himself needs very little to conjure and sustain his own illusions. The casual usage of it in his day to day experiences has really desensitized him to it all. Vampires can do illusions and glamours, it's just their thing. He's of course confusing it with the more common Obfuscate, but there's not a whole lot of people who knows the depths of his affinity and would be in the position to correct him on the matter. His real favored skills are in Blood Sorceries, namely Necromancy's Corpse in the Monster Gift of Life. He's pretty much addicted to it. It might cost a truly unholy amount of vitae but for someone like him it's much more manageable. Being able to eat, do as much drugs as he wants, having sex, it's the full package of the human experience and worth any cost. Even the after effects, though he does take some semblance of precautions. That's why he makes sure to keep his cards close to his chest and his heart far from his sleeve as possible, as ruining his chances at stepping away from it all and enjoying himself is something he does not want to risk messing up like so many other things in life. When he's not abusing it on himself, it's also handy to blindside other vamps with its other store of tricks. An Elder might think themselves invincible with high Fortitude, but they're in for a shock when for the first time in forever they feel the sting of pain. Or the need to blink, breathe, a hunger unlike their eternal thirst, or just the urge to take a piss. When you've gone without them for so long it can be overwhelming, like the deaf regaining their ability to hear. Gives just enough time to slip away, maybe they'll even feel guilty enough not to follow/
>>98208515>NemoSuch is the greater of the dilemmas the newly embraced officer faces. While he considers the danger low per his status among kindred society, he is not ignorant of the threat to his loved ones. Thusly, Nemo is committed to remaining under the radar and far from the anger of any influential creatures of the night. Despite this he is not upset by this arrangement and is greatly thankful by some measures. Were his people not already under threat? Was he himself not a victim of the night's uncontainable chaos? Ignorance and incapability had been the downfall of the man, but now he is no longer ignorant and no longer incapable. It is a blessing that, cursed as he is, he now has the tools to fight the dark.Yet even though he can carry no hatred to any one person for that which has transpired, Nemo does have an enemy. Still looking for a way to regain humanity the officer seeks not to use it for himself, but for the world. Too rid the night of the night creatures and mankind from maneaters. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. >>98211577The rest of the post and the following posts were explaining why you'd have to go the boring route. I am not sure why you are pretending otherwise, since anything else would make them nonsensical. Your posts were quite clear.
>>98211602I guess it doesn't matter that much, but it could be useful. Are you just rolling for fun at this point? Also both Depraved and Humanity Intact, how would that even work?

>>98211658Why’s it have to be pretending. It’s a lot of assumptions on your part of what I meant and my thought proccesses and instincts when I literally explained my reasonings. I’ve used the word unlikely, hard, and little room to work with, but nothing to say its absolutely impossible. Even saying no justifiable reason doesn’t mean you can’t do it, just that that there’s no reason that’s going to be fully accepted by other Kindred purely due to the stigma. Feels like I shouldn’t even need to say these things because after the first time I said what was meant, there isn’t much to say after.
>>98211758Because the only assumption that needs to be made is that you meant what you originally said. Again, your posts were very clear, and the reasoning you are giving now is obviously not your original intent. You're backtracking because I criticized you lol. >>98208510>ElizabethMore than questioned, she's hoped and prayed (for all the good it does a vampire) for a way out of Leto's control. However, she is young, and her sire is ancient, and horrifyingly powerful even among those children of antediluvians. Importantly, she's not under a blood bond, as her sire was not interested in creating a thrall. Instead, she used Dominate to methodically control Elizabeth, to shape her personality into what she desired, including a familial devotion to her "mother".She understands on an intellectual level that the devotion she feels is a combination of the vampiric curse and ancient power, but that makes it feel no less real. She hopes to find a way out of her grasp, but in addition to the aforementioned, she is also aware that Leto is keeping her 'alive'. She knows that being a new 5th gen is like ringing a dinner bell, but that most of those bloodthirsty enough to want to diablerize her will be put off by having one of the strongest 4th gen descending on them. Until she can gain enough power to stand on her own, she seems rather stuck. to say the least.>>98210068Elizabeth's absolute favorite is Fortitude, for the simple fact that it allows her to function without feeling that, at any second, a vicious pair of fangs are going to tear out her throat. Or at least, that any fangs that try to do so will either break or bounce off her skin. Not to mention how it makes her all but immune to mind altering effects (that aren't from Leto). That's a rather touchy area these days.Beyond the indispensable survival of Fortitude, her other favorite is Temporis. Being able to stop time, even if only for a moment, is an immense thrill. Shame about how much vitae it consumes.>>98211471Question for Nemo: is his police district corrupt? There's a lot of us with the Police Department dark gift, is his one of them? Overall though, Uvario's gift in the form of the program has the department's favor only so small questions don't get asked. Questions like "Why does X worker look so drained?" or "Isn't it strange how many convicts get routed to this specific program?" Stuff like that. In sum, his district is relatively on the gainly side. Anything that Uvario gets the department to ignore wasn't illegal to begin with and he uses his own seniority/status to sway the whole of things rather than the greed of the district officers.Writing a little bit for the character(s) right now to add some needed context though I'll probably miss various details. >>98212545NTA but I genuinely feel you can't really play OR without canonfagging. It's an inherent part of the CYOA and the story it tells is integral to the entire world. The whole point of the Outsider is to shake things up in the world, shaking things up preemptively throws everything out of whack. I already discussed it previously on why it's important to have certain events and individuals be the way they are but I'm too lazy to type it all up again.
>>98212500>>98212512>>98212519Not canon
>>98212575>It's an inherent part of the CYOA and the story it tells is integral to the entire world.Nta, but that's exactly what I hate about OR.
>>98212574Golconda isn't really just an end goal. It's a state you achieve. It's the same as having High Humanity though, if you slip up you lose it, and you might lose it forever. If you decide to engage with the scumbag society that all the Cainites live in, you're probably going to lose it because it's the nature of the world you live in. Also forget trying to help others, there's genuinely people who are so disgusted by the idea of Golconda that they'll jump you on the streets. It's like achieving Enlightenment by moving on. Otherwise you'll be hated by a lot of vamps who think that you're too good to be one of them, or that being a vampire is the real blessing and you are committing heresy. It's also so rare that people think it's just a myth in the first place, so you won't find many people who have a "reasonable" reaction to it.
>>98212581NTA, that's what I love about OR. It's a lot of fun to dig through everything the cyoa has to offer to better understand the world and your character's place in it. But that's also why I agree that a successful new run seems unlikely. It has been explored about as thoroughly as possible.
>>98212599I think we are talking about 2 different things. What I hate is the metanarrative bullshit. A world with a lot of lore is cool but a cyoa that is more of a puzzle to solve than an adventure you have for fun is just boring.
>>98208515>Adalwolf When you see a thousand battlefields, a thousand soldiers brandishing a thousand arms, they cease to mean much. And yet, every strike and every death is unique unto itself. The weapons are mere steel, it is the wills that wield them which make legends. I have trained with them all. Wouldn't you, had you as much time as I in which to do it? There is but one weapon which might be different though. If it be true that we descend from Caine himself, then it may be equally true that the king of the jews was who he claimed to be. And as such, *that* legendary spear would be a sight to behold. I knew many who sought it.
>>98212606I found that aspect fun as well. Different strokes I guess.
>>98212428>the optimal buildPray tell, what IS the optimal build? My biggest gripe with the cyoa is that builds tend to look the same when people take the same overpowered crap.
>>98212581That's fair enough. OR's the one MP I'd say that has to be played completely faithful. You can meta analyze everything it has to offer, but completely overwriting it detaches from the experience unless you just want a really weird fantasy powerpicker. If the world wasn't literally tied to the Meaning of actions and experiences, it wouldn't be that way, but it's the lifeblood of the entire thing and you'll lose out on a ton that gives it its appeal.>>98212606I will say however, I think that's not the right interpretation to have. The CYOA is a puzzle to be solved, but it can have a hundred different solutions. It's all about interpretation. There might only be one way to directly solve a certain issue, like Empyreans, or there could actually be a dozen methods to bypass it. Or, why even bother with that at all and go down a different route. Fuck around with Uruk's strange psuedo biology. Find a method to channel a greater amount of the existing original god's power. Restore JNPL. Trick the System like how Charlotte did. Create a requiem to the one thing that truly harmed Charlotte, or reverse engineer the bomb she used to wipe out a continent.Or, like you said, just have fun. You are the Outsider. You don't have to be shackled to cleaning up the last Outsider's mess. Or technically I guess the last last Outsider's mess. SRTR says fuck what others want, do what you want. Charlotte's rule is a sword hanging over your head only if you want to think about it in terms of lifespans. JNPL says you can live your life and do nothing but stay at home because that too has meaning. YMRD will tell you to kill yourself for not being inquisitive though, and 0^0 will tell you to kill yourself no matter what. 2/4 isn't too bad though... or I guess 1/3 since one kicked the bucket...

>>98216120>If Caine himself were to appear to fight a random mage, that mage could turn Caine into confetti. And that's it. No more Caine.Someone doesnt seem to know the lore very well. >>98216120Actually. That’s wrong. Caine was cursed to suffer by the biggest mage of all - God - and it’s called the ‘sevenfold curse’ - that is to say, whatever you do to Caine, will be rebounded back sevenfold. Caine’s punishment is to never die and walk the earth for all time. God doesn’t want him dying. Casting [Instant Diarrhea] at Caine will just cause the mage to crap seven times as hard. Or the spontaneous stake spell. A tree branch erupting from the vampire’s chest or heart. Their veins becoming roots. There’s also a spell to step into alternate realities where different paradigms took precedence. Like a world dominated by horrific pagan principles where predation is gone and everything knots in on itself.
>>98216311A mage who doesn’t prep isn’t worthy of being called a mage lol. >>98216340The lore is pointing to existence in WoD being a pocket universe made by some larger than life mage, AKA God. Mage assumes that God is a giant mage.Keep coping. This is all published. You got shown citations. Mages > vampires and a mage is why Caine got cursed at all. Mage magic is explicitly reality warping and at its highest it’s indistinguishable from omnipotence, aka Godhood. God. It’s also canon that a mage’s avatar are individual fragments of a much larger divinity. More proof that mages are divine.
>>98216354ok but what do you even do with that. just tell the table youre a very special boy, the most special boy in fact and go play something else?
>>98216256>>98216340You’re why it’s so fun to dunk on Vampfags. You can’t handle reality warpers being above street level blood suckers.
>>98216377It’s called playing Mage you big dummy. Archmages engineer their own planets out in deep space, where they can live in their own paradigms happily. Most mages of cosmic power leave earth entirely.
There are spirits in deep space that take the shape of planet ending meteors btwWerewolves in space are cool too. Mages equip them with ray guns and send them to fight giant space insects that feed on positive thoughts.
>>98216367>This is all published.Proofs? Oh? You dont have it? Damn. What you might have though, are in-universe characters speculating and theorizing, which is literally not proving anything at all LMAO you should cope harder.>>98216378I am not arguing anything even remotely related to vampires. I'm just saying, there is no definitive "proof" to the schizo theory that God is a mage in the WoD setting. Why do you think White Wolf has never commented on this? Mage fags just cant handle that their little pocket dimension spell doesnt prove jack shit.
>>98216390All those images are from published books. End Times brings up Prime 9 which is from a completely different book entirely. Keep coping. :^)
>>98216396And they proved nothing? So what are you saying?
>>98216390White Wolf more or less confirmed it with the Arch-Spheres faggot. Existence as we know it is classified as a Prime 9 or Forces 9 effect. Keep coping.
I'm going to be honest, all the things I'm hearing about mages sounds gay. You've convinced me we're better off removing mages from the setting entirely.
>>98216367>It’s also canon that a mage’s avatar are individual fragments of a much larger divinity. More proof that mages are divine.Does this not literally disprove yourself? lol
>>98216400>more or lessHow very convincing. Since you've resorted hearsay, i'll just assume I won, which I literally have, as you have no further proof.lmaolol
>>98216384i guess thats ok for a single player game yeah
>>98216378NTA but honestly vamps being so low on the food chain compared to the monumental bullshit that exists in the setting is probably what I like most about them. The fact that other factions can't really move in on them and extinguish their entire race due to how intertwined they've made themselves with human society is really fun. The constant back and forth of what they are and what they pretend to be is also a really interesting dynamic as they can consider themselves apex predators, but really they are forced to hide in the dark or face Final Death. It's a lot of this juxtaposition of the way Cainites naturally function with their hunger and how they try to shape themselves to fix in a certain box with making these rules and hierarchies which makes the whole tragedy of the curse so intriguing.
>>98216390Creating a big bang in the palms of your hands is nothing? If you mix Forces 9 with Prime 9 you can probably recreate existence into some sort of schizophrenic multiverse where every atom is its own separate universe. Or just change existence into whatever the hell you wish, period.

>>98216430Forces 9 targets existence as a whole. Prime 9 creates an existence as a whole. Yeah that’s some serious God level conjunction right there.
>>98216430>you can probablyAgain, pure speculation. I dont give a fuck about what "a" mage can do. It does not prove that God is a mage. It only proves that mages can wield God-like power. That might create precedence for speculation, but it literally proves nothing in a vacuum.
>>98216406For me it just isn't what I want from WoD
Back on the wodg general I remember there being a meme where a mage deletes literally anything they run intoStub your toe on the sidewalk? The mage deletes the sidewalk Order the wrong sandwich? The mage deletes the deliThere’s a spider in your house? The mage deletes the house“Roll for wisdom loss”“Wtf fuck u”“U r not very wise or responsible”“Using magic to lift my couch is practical not unwise”“You will roll for that too”Granted it was nuMage but I thought it was funny
>>98216432Yeah that sounds about right. You just can't respect a game like that.
>>98216457>Again, pure speculationNot really. It’s what the ST allows. Spheres are meant to be combined. One effect creates a new existence the other affects our existence. Now combine the two. That’s pretty scary.
>>98216476>It’s what the ST allows.I'm the ST now and I've decided that God is not a mage. Wtf you gonna do now timmy?
>>98216439Nta but every time a sci fi cyoa gets suggested people shout it down
>vampire insults mage>mage swaps his hunger for blood to hunger for cumNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>98216487Seems like the only reasonable action is to delete the ST and become a free agent...
>>98216406The issue with Mage isn't what it brings to the setting, it's WHO it brings to the setting. Because mages are categorically wrong about a lot of things, otherwise they wouldn't be getting slammed with consensus and then only one tradition would be able to cast spells. And one thing people forget reading those books is that they are written from the perspective of the splat within the knowledge of the splat knows or what WW wanted players and STs to know. But because Mage attracts, well, Mage players they will take their favorite splat as gospel and think their farts don't smell.
I am a Mage. He is a Vampire.I AM the superior lifeform.I blink he dies.
Consider for a moment, that there yet remains any definite proof to be posted of God being an actual mage. Pure speculation, still.
>>98216498>Because mages are categorically wrong about a lot of thingsThey’re actually the most categorically correct about most things. In both old and new WoD. The mage setting and werewolf setting overlap strongly. Even the faerie realms tie into the mage cosmology, which upset some fans of changeling.
>>98216509You’re still coping? Anon literally posted the citations up thread. Books say mages are more powerful than vampires and the creation of our existence was likely a sphere effect.
>>98216524>Books say mages are more powerful than vampiresnot what were discussing, so dont care>the creation of our existence was likely a sphere effect.so... only "likely", thanks anon, you finally decided to prove me right. Its rare to see anons admit they were wrong.
Damn. Anon really upset the fangers.Speaking of the term “fangers” has anyone watched True Blood where people are racist to vampires and treat them like black people? Or gays? There was a redneck holding a sign that said “God Hates Fangs”.Obviously the setting is dumb since everyone would want to become a vampire to live forever. Everyone would be a vampire eventually. Leading to that one movie Daybreak.
>>98216542Lol keep coping leech. Your existence is one of servitude and torment. You were born to be our slaves. Chairs to sit on.
>>98216515That's because Mages cast their net wide and interact with other splats. Meaning the other splats are also right. Better yet here is nobody actually ever says "Okay, but what if they are all right from where they are standing, they just don't have all the answers. Or everyone is wrong. Or everyone is wrong and right. The world's big, and the only being that has all the answers left because some dumbfuck caveman picked up a rock and brianed his brother because God prefered protein over carbs.
>>98216498>because Mage attracts, well, Mage playersYeah mage players are a very specific type of socially maladjusted autists
The only reason why Magefags are annoying is because the people who hate on Mage are really fun to annoy. It’s like making fun of that one kid in school because he always overreacts like a total sperg. “Oh, if he’s going to act like that, then, maybe he deserves to be picked on?”. Stop acting like whiny bitches and mages will stop raping your ego. Otherwise they (mages) won’t have anything.

I refuse to believe so many people here care about any of this. The only reason why I care even a bit about VtM is because there is a cyoa about it. There is no cyoa about being a mage from WoD, so I don0t give a shit about mages from WoD. Same with werewolves.
Overly hubristic mages are the funniest part of WoD. Which is why they make the best bad guys. “Hoooow could I have been beaten by a ragtag group of pesky vampires and dogs reeeee- ACK”
>>98216800Evil wizards and mad scientists always make the best villains since they’re always bringing unforeseen and even insurmountable threats to the table that you have to work creatively around.
A mage can snap their fingers and make a vampire immune to sunlight. But without the mind sphere the vampire will still curl up into a terrified little ball since they’re wired to be terrified of sunlight. Poor little guys…
>>98216819why are vampires so cute bros

Some people aren't going to click with vamps, which is completely fine, and it's no reason to just go "well let them sit in the corner while we play". Unless we are completely washed we're perfectly capable of handling multiple at once.>>98217135I will say though, definitely will never feel Facility. >>98217218>especially since I saw that one of the anons was holding back their SC talk due to the focus on vampire in the thread.I think that's kinda dumb. A new run wouldn't be nearly as successful as the original, but it'd likely do better than most mps we run now.
>>98217447Cool sci fi with spaceships and mecha but you can also relate to the characters.
>>98217347>Are they an assassin for humans, or for other vampires?Whatever needs to be ended at the moment. His Rare Taste doesn't allow him to enjoy the hunt in that way, since his favored snack is made of people he would rather not kill, but blood is blood even when it doesn't taste good and has quite the number of uses, especially for a Thinblood.Likes fighting more than killing, but isn't obsessed. It's a slippery slope and he's already started liking the ob a bit too much.> Does their sire keep them on a tight leash due to their unexpected strength? It was a Loving Embrace, so not really. It's complicated but the sire is both really happy and really scared. On one hand she doesn't want to keep him chained, on the other hand she doesn't even know if she would be able to do it. She was sure she took a doomed bet and now she suddenly has a chance, so her prayers were answered, but in exchange she created a monster.>I usually have too many ideas I want to go with that I usually need something help focus my build towardsI tend to focus on one idea at a time, so it's easier for me. >>98217605Because that's just another excuse to force the player characters to be weaker, aka you're a mudfag in disguise
>>98217620FUAAAARK... beasts...
>>98217605>Villains should get the underdog advantageI mean, I liked most of the villain groups more anyway so I'm fine with them winning in the end
>>98217605because anons make builds in this order, morally gray > heroic > > fixable villains >>> truly evil niggas
>>98217568Yeah I can see it having the slight makings of a system setting, as much as I understand the term, since the whole realm is a playground made by the gods, but I do want it to play like an actual fantasy setting that just so happens to be similar to video game systems. There's still bounties and quotas that are similar to quest, but no explicit stats and menus popping up.Do you already have a build in mind for it?
>>98217635Truly evibros when are we gonna get an MP where our self-inserts can mass genocide together...?
>>98217672i mean vampires are literally right here alreadythey be doing evil shit on the reg
>>98217688So the Canadian Annihilation story event is available?
>>98217547Remind me of the scenario, I'm too lazy to look it up. The only idea that really seems any fun to me is the clocktower run that people memed about, since the ip itself has overdone everything involving servants, and the most interesting part of the cyoa to me is coming up with unique magic for my build since it impacts everything from their fighting style to their background and personality. Basically a way more interesting version of Harry Potter is what I imagine a clocktower run to be.That or another arena, but those are cursed to be unfinished for some reason. I wouldn't even care if my build jobbed, I just want an arena that doesn't die and isn't a borefest set in real life 1943. I'm so fucking salty I missed the elder scrolls one after stumbling upon it in the archive.
>>98217697>and the most interesting part of the cyoa to me is coming up with unique magic for my build I don't find that fun at all because it's literally makestuffupslop
>>98217695i mean if you wanna crack a couple dozen canucks open to see if the blood is as maple as they say im not going to stop you
>>98217701It works for me in that particular cyoa, but I'll admit it's also not my favorite cyoa in the world. I might like it the most because the the more concrete options in other sections are lacking to me kek.
Why didn't we ever do Entropist here?
>>98217697>Remind me of the scenario, I'm too lazy to look it up.It's the vaguely gamelike battle royale. Death isn't permament, participants aren't limited to 7, it has quests and rewards and stuff. The goal is to collect 7 minor grails I guess. I like it just because it's one of the few scenarios that aren't arenas, and it's a way to do PvP that I don't hate. There are servants.
>>98217740Because it's a giant pile of garbage?
>>98217740The most fun part was the unique powers the author gave people, and he wasn't in this general.
>>98217740Because it sucked and we only like Shonenkino
>>98217697A clocktower run would be fun, but I don't see a pure servant-free run ever happening. The last attempt we did at that was the vampire vs priest run and that stillbirthed instantly.
>>98217744>Death isn't permament, participants aren't limited to 7, it has quests and rewards and stuffIsekaibros are you thinking what I'm thinking?
>>98217745NTA, but let's not pretend we are above playing giant piles of garbage. We have played waaaaaaay worse cyoas.
>>98217752>The last attempt we did at that was the vampire vs priest run and that stillbirthed instantlyI would clock that up to the vampire and priests being the focus and not the lack of servants.
>>98217761>clock instead of chalkI didn't do that on purpose
>>98217752>vampireswell theres your fucking problem right there no wonder it didnt take off
>>98217639>but no explicit stats and menus popping up.I don't think people wanted a full on system, they just wanted randomized dungeons. Like portal appears, new dungeon is made, you clear it, it's gone. Personally I'm fine with both.>Do you already have a build in mind for it?Yes, fully finished, just missing the fluff that may need to be adapted depending on the scenario. I even have a fitting faceclaim for it that isn't just a random singular image for once.
It's not like Cocktower would be fun either thoughWhat do people even see in it?
>>98217752>the vampire vs priest runI kind of remember that one, wasn't like the third build a Servant despite the premise being Master-only run?
>>98217778The first build was a Servant.
>>98217744>>98217752I don't hate it. It even seems like it has some room for cooperation, without being too friendly like that completely pve thing we did once. I have tried and failed to get into the vtm cyoa, so I'd be down to try this.>>98217771I gave my reasoning. Basically I like wizards and I can't deny my enjoyment of schoolslop. Also, my interest is relative to the other scenarios in the cyoa.
>>98217756As one of the isekai participants, I would play it. I would need to make a new build because the one I have wouldn't fit but it sounds fun. I never posted the other one anyway.
>>98217752Wasn't that run immediately made into a servant run too? I clearly remember servants being there.
Last time I tried joining a fate run I remember all the autists (the majority of fate anons) being super judgy and critical of builds, especially servantsAre anons still like that? I haven't paid attention to a fate run since
>>98217756>>98217796I don't get it
>>98217807Probably. But I'll be cool if you're cool. Cool?
>>98217807>Are anons still like that?Yes. It's part of why I don't want to participate either.
>>98217808It's about the isekai arena mess that just happened. It only had like 5 people. It was a clusterfuck with all kinds of powers and settings.
>>98217823>all kinds of powers and settingsThat sounds ass just conceptually.
>>98217807>are the autists still autistsI think you already know the answer to that one.
why are you people throwing a giant shit fit?I'm not reading all that bickering
>>98217794That cyoa is massive so it would take ages for me to make a build.
>>98217807Why don't we rebel against the negative nancies with unending positivity?
Rolled 1 (1d2)>>98217621How did this happen?
>>98217832huh?
>>98217842I think that's a delayed reaction to the mage thing that ended ages ago by now.
>>98217838I'll just make a counter guardian. Nta.
>>98217832This is just what we do now to compensate for nothing happening in the adventures. In this case vampires.
>>98217833Fate? You really only need 12 pages since half the cyoa is picking a servant/master (which doesn't apply in an MP). Of those, 4 pages have choices that affect the entire mp and aren't individually chosen, 4 pages are locked to only Masters, and 4 pages are locked to only Servants.
Update the fangerfiles
>>98217879>4 pages are locked to only Masters, and 4 pages are locked to only Servants. There is an option that allows you to use both.
>>98217882With what? There are no new builds yet.
>>98217885but it is gay and cringe so who cares?
>>98217893It's not. It's an option in the cyoa.
>>98217885I forget Pseudoservant exists because the main appeal of Fate runs for me is pairing up, but true. Still leaves only 8 pages of actual choices to make though.
>>98217882They haven't even done anything with their actual characters yet, what's to update?
>>98217885That's purposely taking on more work for yourself though, so it doesn't really matter to the problem of the cyoa being too long
>>98217882Agreed.Montgomery needs to write about the new builds. We all voted on it and now he has to do it.

>>98218474Hey! Make your builds good!
>>98218479No!>I said make them good!NO!
>>98218481Ah, let him go. We'll never catch him. Not with builds as good as these...
>Salvatore>>98210068>Vampires, whats your builds favorite Discipline, and whats their favorite technique within it? How many dots do they have? It's tough to select one favourite, but I'd say Obfuscate, especially that Elder power that allows you to become undetectable while still interacting physically. I suspect it uses up a lot of blood and might also interfere with using other disciplines and sorceries, but it still sounds like a great skill. You can use it to get into places you shouldn't, stalk people, do recon, set up ambushes, use it in combat or to run away. Other Disciplines tend to be more versatile in how the powers work, but this one is versatile in what this one power allows you to do.As for the dots, Elder seems to be 5-6 and Ancient 6+, so as a young (I'd say he was embraced about three decades ago when he was 25) 6th gen, I'm guessing he'd have around 7 in his ancient stuff, maybe 8 at most? 10 seems to be Antediluvian plot device stuff, I'm guessing 9-8 would be Methuselah or like old elders? It's tough to judge since the cyoa changes stuff up. That peak Obfuscate power of hiding yourself from existence seems to be 10 dots.>>98212047>how those two would interactI'm not sure how well known what happened to Elizabeth is, but the true nature of Salvatore's relationship with his Sire is secret. If he learned of Elizabeth's situation, he'd be interested, but also suspicious. Vampire society is full of plots, so taking that at face value would be foolish. If somehow a trust would form, like if they formed a Coterie, or if Elizabeth learned the truth about Salvatore first and didn't use it against him, he'd be greatly interested in exchanging the notes with her, comparing what changes they both underwent and maybe even broach the subject of how they feel about their sires. He could certainly use a confidant to give him advice about his confusing feelings for Artemisia when the Blood Bond feels weak. Maybe plan a small coup.
>>98217744That and the Grand Order options are my favorite for MP.Grail Wars don't seem too viable after all.
>>98218124>new hotnessIts dead Jim
>>98219328True, were all waiting for Monty to update his relationship chart clearly.
>>98219328>Its dead Jim>looks 2 posts up>vampire discussionwhy do you lie when it's so easy to see you're wrong?
>>98219348it needs 1 writefag every thread or its dead, I don't make the rules
>>98219356>I don't make the rulesNo, but you clearly make up some bullshit.
>>98219340>werewritefag general
>>98219348Answering generic "what you char do" posts for the 200th time is not real activity, its filler.
The 'oh you didn't get a writefag this thread so your mp is dead' shit is retarded. Does anyone with a build unironically believe it?
>>98220208MHA hasnt had a writefag in literally an entire year and we havent dropped it, so nobody believes that.
>>98220208I don't have a build but I don't believe that. I'm also not seeing much motion from the vampire thing.
>>98220208I believe this and personally blame myself for not being able to put out a writefag per thread...
>>98220237That's just mental illness and spite at this point though, not really comparable to other cyoas.
>>98220249Corpses rarely move much>ba dum tsshhh
So who's actually interested in the proposed fate scenario?
>>98220428Fate really isnt my thing.
>>98220428Which was the pitched scenario? I saw discussion for Clockwork, the multiple lives one, and a lot of other minor stuff, but not sure which is the one you are referring to. Unless you mean just playing Fate in general.
>>98220428I LOVE FATE!!!!!
>>98220428i'd just dip out for a month and wait for it to die
>>98220535The multiple lives one
>>98220428I prefer it over the other recent suggestions.
>>98220428I like it less than the other proposals for a new MP.
>>98220773I don't believe you when crapper was one of them
Why is the Mage setting so much cooler than Vampire? Werewolf is like in between the two.
>>98220610It seems like a good way to actually get conflicts into the mix since I know people are squeamish about killing off characters, but I'm not really familiar with the Fate series all that much so I don't actually know what it really entails for this alternate mode. Feels kinda of like an arena mode with the whole random quests and such on a monthly basis.
>>98220778I do like scrapper more than fate. I just don't like fate very much.
>>98220805Not buying it.
>>98220842You can believe what you want, but the fact that I don't like fate remains. I didn't post a build in any of the fate runs, but I did post for scrapper. The scenario suggested this time makes it barely decent enough for me to try.
>>98220428I’m obligated to write for every Fate run, but I might be a bit delayed if we start one soon since I want to finish the SC writefag I’m working on first.
