I'd really like to play a character that's basically Conan the barbarian but also a drone pilot in what kind of setting do you find techno-barbarians? with what kind of system?where do they live? what do they do? what do they eat? what's their tax policy?

>>98216372>Conan the barbarian but also a drone pilot Piloting a drone is an inherently cowardly and umanly way to do combat. Conan would never do that. >in what kind of setting do you find techno-barbarians? The middle east.>where do they live? Mostly in isolated villages and caves.>what do they do? Wage war. Duh.>what do they eat? Mostly goat meat and milk.>what's their tax policy?primarily zakat.
>>98216372>in what kind of setting do you find techno-barbarians?Age of Strife Terra obviously but you can just shoehorn techno-barbarians anywhere if that's your thing.>with what kind of system?See above, but for the drone pilot part you can try these:-Traveller (specifically The Robot Handbook)-Lancer (specifically if you play the Hydra)-Eclipse Phase (you can upload your brain in a drone)The Sprawl (PbtA)ShadowrunSinless (Shadowrun lite)Fragged Empire>where do they live? The Wasteland™ in between various Arcologies, ruins and random settlements.>what do they do?Caravan expeditions, escort missions, treasure hunt and trade.>what do they eat?Pussy and Onions Green™>what's their tax policy? Not sure about that but in a post-apocalyptic scenario, the new currency would simply be whichever practical commodity is most scarce and universally valued like high-proof alcohol, preserved foods, antibiotics, and ammunition. And lost technology of course.

>>98216372We have entire galleries of great Blanche art and you slop it up instead. Fuck you and I hope you stub your toe and drop something fragile on the ground.
>>98216372This is actually something I've been thinking about a lot too.I've heard people recommend Barbarians of Lemuria but I've never read it, and I don't think there's any drones.Mutants and Masterminds (at least the original) can do high-power sword & sorcery, it even had a supplement dedicated entirely for that, which was basically a He-Man RPG.And of course there's GURPS, but that isn't very cinematic.
