My basecoat is in Sunbloom Gray, and for the highlights I'm using Trannypus green. I use glazes of Freako, and a mix of Neutronium and Seabottom Black. For the glow on the weapon I'm using Prussian Ass and Titanium White. And I'll drybrush with Flibdobbitydoo. For the base I'll use Niacin Organello, and some PVS glue to hold it all together. Oil wash in black.

Why are they like this?

Post models.

>he doesn't understand that different brands have different mixes of pigment and medium so they act differently on the brush and have different results on the model

PVA glue, its polyvinyl acetate

Why is this board obsessed with this image and phrase and acts like minor annoyances are deeply enfeebling affairs?

>man who has never painted in his life discovers that store-bought paints have elaborate naming schemes to differentiate between hues of the same color
>>
>>98218339
They say what brands and colors they're using so if you repeat what they're doing you can get the same exact look. That's kind of the entire point of a painting tutorial. Do you get mad at cooking videos when they tell you to use finely minced shallot, button mushrooms, unsalted butter and low sodium chicken stock too?

To be more fair than the OP deserves, it'd be a bit more like saying "Now use a quarter teaspoon of Morton's salt, and then get yourself a 14 oz can of Cento diced tomatoes and a pound of Barilla spaghetti."

Though in either case, I would presume that if specifics are being mentioned, it's because the specificity is important.

even then, in this case, different products produce entirely different flavors, so if you want to cook EXACTLY what the dude in the chef hat is cooking, buy those specific ingredients from those specific brands
they also get paid to use name brands but the point still stands
>>
>>98222061
Part of the point here is often times these names are meaningless gibberish that don't actually indicate what fucking color they are.

Just look at the pot bro

So they can copyright them and also reinforce with the more stupid of their customers that ONLY GW PRODUCTS (paint included) IS ALLOWED FOR USE IN GW GAMES.

Use your Eyes.

coddled manchildren can't figure anything out for themselves
