So I live in baguette land and I was surprised to see that my supermarket recently got a TCG vending machine (mainly pokémon and lorcana booster).I was wondering if this is common in other country because it's the first time I saw one.
There's vending machines for Pokemon cards around the US as well, mainly centered in grocery stores or department stores like Wal-Mart.Unfortunately, due to extensive invasion of scalpers, they have long periods of being out of stock, and even if they are stocked, are immediately rushed and bought out by sweaty 40+ year olds looking to flip rares and discard the bulk in the nearby trash bin.

>>98234078There used to be pokemon cards in vending machines in places like grocery stores, but most disappeared when the original pokemon card fad faded. Now, most grocery stores just sell scam packs- repackaged blister packs made up of worthless cards but with some extra commons thrown in to try and trick little kids and grandparents into thinking they're a better deal.
>>98234078Yeah there’s a Pokémon tcg vending machine in the mall near my apartment. I live in Poland. They have packs from different sets but also different countries/languages. English, Japanese and Korean.
>>98234115It's a digital vendor, all they had to do was limit purchases on that card to once a day. Sure, they could bring multiple forms of payment, but that's better than doing nothing.I know that the higher-ups don't care who buys as long as there's a sale, but public complaints of lack of product due to scalpers could be mitigated.
>>98234078US Military anon,They put in a couple at the PX a couple months ago. It seems to be in good condition.
>>98234115>>98236238Their solution in some areas has been to make the stock time limited. So there's a limit to how much you can buy in a specific time period, and then the machine will say it's out of stock for an hour or so, and then it'll say they've been restocked and let you buy again. And this would've been a pretty good idea except most of them figured it out pretty quickly, so now they all just crowd around the machine for hours out of the day waiting to buy a couple dozen packs of cards all at once so no one else can. It's led to those stores throwing people out for squatting the way they've been, but god is it not nearly enough to dissuade them.
