Could new age fantasy be a new genre?
>>98235700In the RPG milieu this shit goes mostly through horror
>>98235700That's just WoD Mage
>>98235700What are chud blueski's stats?
Why did you make the same thread on /v/?
>>98235736Sorry, I forgot how /tg/ is nowadays and that you can't have a fun discussion about anything with you miserable fucks anymore.God, who thought there'd be a day when I'd rather post on /v/ than /tg/? What happened to you guys?
>>98235700Man, the greys and the ancients were fucking sluts.
>>98236109If think that place is better, go there instead of shitting up the board with inane and meaningless questions.
>>98236405>If thinkhello saar
>>98235700Those races are boring.Give me some Medford Shmoos anyday
I think about it often and wonder why it hasn't been tried. Probably way too schizo and involves too many cults that probably rape and steal money. Stuff like reptilians don't count because they originate from pulp fantasy first. Telepathy, ESP, sixth senses, etc were all up for debate in the 20th century so they ended up in a lot of science fiction. Studies piled up and they were discredited and remained solely in the realm of the New Age, but they still continued on in sci-fi.
>>98236466Why not some nightcrawlers too?
>>98236473I personally prefere the more batshit insane obscure stories. The nightcrawler kinda is, but it's widely known. A victim of his own success, if you will. Pic related.
>>98236488Sorry I'm not enough of a hipster to hate popular things
>>98236518HE on the other hand is cool in my book. Pretty fucked up story, even I guess it was all a kid's prank on adults.
>>98236541Did you hear there was an update recently about all colors sam? They found fay after.
>>98236466Is this game still around? I remember some speculator/rug shit about it but IDK details.
>>98236572Do tell!
>>98235700How would that actually go on?Encounters of the third kind and up are all either space brothers teachings, your scary grey surgeon bullshit or perhaps fucking/hybridizing.Shit is REALLY limited in scope, and when there is some narrative it's abducted people coping with the supposed experience.
>>98236824Surprisingly cryptid wiki has a good breakdown of the new info.https://cryptidz.fandom.com/wiki/Sandown_ClownSadly it seems no ones taken the time to write it down besides these guys. The only other source is a podcast interview with the guy who found her if you prefer that. https://theapstrangeshow.transistor.fm/episodes/illuminating-the-sandown-clown-legend-with-paul-a-t-wilson
>>98236899I see. Interesting read.
>>98236869I think it'd be more fun and freeing to take some cues from theospohy and set it in earths distant past. Probably the goal would be to prevent some sort of global catastrophe or perhaps the indoctrination of the planet. Many more options once you no longer have to set it in earths modern day.
>>98236109Why don't you sound like that? Man up dude wtf
>>98236819I think it finally crashed and burned and the creators ran away with the moneyI still like the cryptids idea and some of the dumb art desu but the "this card does x if you're by a literal body of water irl" was stupid from the start and should've been a red flag
>>98236869My idea for a New Age adventure has always been some schizos or hippies or whatever having adventures on UFO's and going to enlightened alien utopias, fighting off soul sucking reptilians, doing ESP shit, discovering that earth has ancient super advanced civilizations that originate from space, all that crazy shit. New Age is a grab bag for all sorts of fringe stuff and thus see adventure everywhere. >>98236953Hell, Robert E Howard himself was inspired by Theosophy when he created the Hyborean Age. He didn't believe it but thought it was cool enough to use it as a skeleton for his settings.
>>98235700Traditional games?
>>98238339shut up nerdwe're talking about the antediluvian ageit's sad that earthdawn doesn't get talked about more often
>>98238643That's basically Conan tough. Well, REH and adjacent writers in the era in general
>>98238643How was your latest game session there? What system do you use for your campaign?>>98236109>hurrr why do people want to talk about games instead of my stupid reddit bullshit?
>>98235714>That's just WoD MageIsn't Wod Mage just "I can do anything unless the GM decides to erase my character for attempting it"?That sounds more like Capitalism than New Age magic.
>>98238225This, turn "So Beautiful and So Dangerous" into an rpg.
I don't know how closely related yakub is to New Age but I'd include Yakubians into my setting>"Aren't those just white people"Yeah but better-er
There has to be a handful of Delta Green shotgun games and Liminal Horror pamphlets about this. But they should be more popular.>>98235714I chuckled out loud>>98236371their class is basically a passport bro
>>98235700Yes. It’s called Lord of the Rings. Elves are Nordics/Pleiadians and are uncanny valley beautiful. The wizards (all of the Ainur really) are even higher class, what are essentially energy beings investing themselves into a given form or shape or goal. Magic in middle-earth is sufficiently advanced art/artifice.
>>98238225you might be into this when it comes out (it's in production, it's not shilling, the campaign is over)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pancoga/the-summer-of-lovecraft-ttrpgIt has hippie cults and footloose towns and aliens and outergods.
>>98238643Spirit science had something about the pyramids being huge space lasers that one lady in the 70's used to save us from an alien invasion.
>>98245817This one gets it
