Honestly I used to really hate chaos, 40k's chaos is just about retarded manchildren with daddy issues and modern fantasy's chaos is just wanking off an obnoxious writer's pet character. And then I read the actual realm of chaos books and realized just how much depth and endless creativity you can have with it. Really criminal how categorized and formulaic it is now.

Models cost about as much as their 40k equivalent but units and armies were much larger. Many people without existing collections became priced out of starting, existing players starting new projects slowed down.
