I have no idea about lancer mechanically, but going off intuition, a pirate's mech should be a frankensteined together bucket of bolts, with an overpowered engine straining to tear itself away from a chassis that was never designed for it, and equipped with some sort of grappling/capture weapon for taking prizes.

Love fantasy mecha. Been very, very, very slowly working on a fantasy mecha setting to run for my regular group someday. For now though Wares Blade seems like it should really hit the right feelings I'm looking for with fantasy mecha.

Well Kidd literally has one on the official artwork.

You might also want to look into Bligh Alt frame for Kid from Enhanced Combat book since it's basically a walking pirate ship with boarding crew drones.

Blackbeard build for grappling is an obvious if somewhat basic choice. You can mix it with Balor parts for some stacking.
Alternatively Störtebeker with Caliban, can turn into a crazy effective blunderbuss + cutlass combo
