2 weeks ago I was 1070 eli and spent most of the last year comfortably jumping from the mid 900's to low 1000's.
In the last 4 days I've dropped to 815 and just keep losing and making dumbass mistakes and getting my ass kicked over and over again.
I might be done with this game.

I thing I dont like about online tournaments is that you can't snatch your opponents king and shove it up your ass in frustration.

This shit keeps happening to me as well. I hate chess, I only play it because of addiction.

Is this a lot? Average? I have no idea. I play blitz the most, but sometimes bullet and rapid. I play every pause from work.

My elo is around 1100
Anyone with a lower elo is stupid and should stop playing
Anyone with a higher elo is a lifeless nerd and should stop playing

There is no God, and no luck in chess. Either you play better than your opponent and win. or you play worse and lose.

All people dropped recently. Happened to lots of youtubers as well. Elo deflation just took another step. I was 1200 rapid and now I'm 1100, (even dropped below it for one game).

But why?
Did jeets find a new way to cheat?
While I havnt necessarily been playing optimally it feels strange that I've experienced such a dramatic drop and lines I've played successfully for a while now are getting easily countered.

Cheating is always advancing. I'm sure a lot of people are toggling cheating or using the assist to make less perfect, but still solid play. It's impossible to vet intelligent cheaters.

My tinfoil says the icon who had a mental breakdown did so because he had at times used assistance, not because Kramnik is such a big bad evil guy. One must be impossibly OCD or have a computational memory to achieve that level, only to lose all of one's reputation over some online play. This is not to discredit any characters or mental health, only my most logical speculation.

Jews and jeets cheat. It's part of izzat. Izzat is life.

No, I got crushed as black. White doesn't even defend the rook, instead taking the bishop to stationing the knight on g6. Then they apply pressure to the E file with queen and possible back rank rook, while setting up diagonals holding bishop on h and Qe5.
