for eldar? wraith host spirit conclave. get some wraithblades with spiritseers and some wraithlords, throw in an avatar or a wraithknight (wraithknights more on theme but avatar is better and cheaper) then get some other stuff to fill in as needed for objectives or support like rangers, shroudrunners, warpspiders, whatever. just to give you some mobility and buffs. a transport or some gunships couldnt hurt if you can find the points for them (easier without the wraithknight)

it probably wont win you nationals but its very forgiving and durable which is in short supply in eldar, and the aspect warriors and other infantry have mostly been jacked up overcosted and overnerfed somewhat recently while wraiths all got cheaper and didnt lose any efficacy

windrider host is also looking pretty playable and not overly difficult to use. more of a glass cannon than a wraithhost but the mix of speed and ease of use makes it fairly simple to jump into

aspect host is also one people like but between the nerfs and the points increases to aspect warriors and the first strike changes i think its gotten much more difficult to play with fewer bodies to play with in an already thin on the ground army, so more of a learning curve there probably.

but regardless of the list, an avatar is very plug and play and really good right now, so feel free to lean on him as a sort of crutch while you figure things out. also you say you stopped in 7th, that means you'll probably want to check out the new avatar model, its sick.

if you try wraithblades, make sure they've got the axes and shields for the inv save, combined with the spirit seers regeneration it makes them fucking impossible to kill. also S7 weapons is a big deal into some targets, toughness has gone up across the board, a lot more T5 than there used to be so wraithblade twin swords S5 is fighting an uphill battle compared to a few editions ago. half the space marines chaos marines and xenos units are all t5 now. its not uncommon to run into entire marine armies using heavy intercessors instead of regular intercessors where they just dont have a single model below t5. so even though the axes have 2 fewer attacks, their overall offensive profile ends up being pretty similar to the swords due to the wound roll advantage of S7

Is the idea to eventually launch wholly separate daemon ranges for 40k, HH and the fantasy games? I mean several units only have rules in one system but not the others, which is completely arbitrary. They have a reputation for being a lazy man's paint because of the lazy people using them. Like ust slathering them over a spotty zenithal highlight or a sloppy chalky drybrush for slapchop, and calling it done. But there's nothing inherently wrong with them, they're just preformulated washes with a higher ratio of ink for really saturated tinting. But it's still tinting, and what's underneath it is important.
I'm hoping pro acryl's 1-step will push slapchoppers to move beyond just throwing contrast down, since it's easy to mix with their other paints to just instantly get pigment for a highlight.

Yeah Newsh, it's pretty good, I've only used it for like, putting dirt color into cracks of boots and treads that match the base I'm building on. But some people have done some crazy color shift and blending stuff with it.
But they got this new, not necessarily speed paint, but like they're take on speed paints/contrasts called 1 step, and it's big selling point is that you can combine it with any other of their paints to effectively restore it's opacity and turn the stuff you just contrasted with into a tinted opaque paint. So like, contrast paint something in red, then add a few drops of bright warm grey to it and now you have a valued up opaque version of the red to paint highlights on.
It's the best white I've used, but you really have to put it side by side with AK (second best imo,) to see the difference.

I primarily like pro acryl because their situation as an outlier outside the established paint makers like GW, Vallejo, armypainter and Ak means they have to put extra effort into innovation.
Everything they do screams trying hard to be different but not in a bad way.
Their colors don’t appear to follow any mimicking of gw or historical colors so if a pro acryl color is yours then pa basically has you. I think privateer press did this with their paints as some still swear by menoth white highlight I think.

I do not like the pro acryl’s default dropper caps though. I plan to get replacement flip top or the alternative dropper.

Why are eldar tanks impossible to find at LGS and GW stores? The only fire prism I've found (and still kicking myself for not getting) was the original 2nd edition version, and falcons/wave serpent infrequent finds at best. Speaking of which, could I get away with building both turrets for the wave serpent/falcon kit and switch them out as needed?

The redeploy ability does nothing if the opponent has a balanced list spread out over his entire deployment zone and arch sorcerer is negligible because channeling the warp is so strong
Infernal masters feel like better leaders for rubrics and sorcerers are fine for tzaangor fatebows (though you can probably spend 100 points better elsewhere in a list)
Transmog blast is pretty nice and his melee being able to smack a unit for 6 or 9 wounds is pretty funny though
