I was playing a Human Fighter/Cleric of the world's most Lawful Neutral deity. This was DnD 3.0, long-term campaign, so we were like lvl 16 or so. That willowy fucknut was no match for a 6'8" slab of boosted Str 23 and ended up in a pile of splinters on the floor and my boot on his chest. My battle buddy the party Fighter/Wizard just kept on drinking and said the Elf had it coming for wasting good ale.

GM didn't see that should affect his alignment.We also later discovered he purposely did a movement that put the elf in danger that ultimately killed him for the sole purpose of making those items.

>>98316528This kind of story is a good illustration of the kind of cognitive dissonance you have when players aren't willing to PvP. Yeah we've gone on 10 session long quests to kill people for less but we'll forgive it because the murderer it's one of the player characters and we wouldn't want to upset James. People should start PvP more often, and then the losing side can make characters that actually fit with the winners.Unless the rest of the party was totally on board with it, I suppose.
