Are there any systems that ape Destiny to any degree of success? Systems with a focus on guns as their main weapons with weird fucked up magic as support? I remember years ago there was an attempt at a Destiny TTRPG but as far as I know it only ever remained in closed beta and the site doesn't exist anymore. Am I really going to play the 5e conversion to satisfy my craving for a weird space magic opera system?

>>98317011Sounds retarded as fuck. So D&D 5e is probably a good choice.
>>98317011Starfinder exists friendo.Various 40k, SW RPGsSWN and Altermity both have rules for "magic". In fact mashing up SWN and WWN is easier than Lego. You are literally spoiled for choice.
why the fuck would you want to recreate this generic forgettable trash
GENESYS would make for a good basis. It has rules for>Guns, weapon customization and crafting>Spaceships and vehicles>Magic systems>"X times per session" and "Once per session" super abilities just like the game
>>98317276destiny is actually a pretty cool setting on paper, it's just the execution that's badT. followed the game before it launched and bought it day 1
>>98317011100DOS/HaloMythic has a book for Destiny. Only has content as far as Taken King IIRC.
>>98317186Not to spit in your face after you offered some solutions but I stay way from d20 systems. I don't like the dice and don't really have good experiences with them so I think that's going to knock out Starfinder, SWN, and Alternity. I should take a look at 40k and SW games I guess. Are 40k games worth checking out if you don't want to run the game in the 40k universe?
>>98317011Video games are really good at being video games. tabletop games are terrible video games. Vidya brained retards think of tabletop games like video games and that's why tabletop sucks shit right now across the boars be it wargames or rpgs.
>>98320796The only game that features the d20 system in any way shape or form is Starfinder. Alternity uses an entirely unique system which is roll below tn +/- step dice and SWN is a hybrid system where you use a d20 for attacks and saving throws and 2d6 for skill rolls.
https://gilarpgs.itch.io/lightThis is what you want OP. Its a bit of a weird system, d6 with degrees of success but it's got a focus on guns and Guardian powers as class abilities. I've never played it myself so I can't tell you if it's good or not.
>>98317011Bunker&Badasses is really good as a d20 system with automatic guns and dealing with different type of guns : the higher you roll, the more damage you do.
