>the player is a red dragon is the groupsoo how do we play now? also can we ride the dragon player too?
Just use dragonborn rules but replace working hands with wings and better breath weapon. EZ
>>98317898What game?
>>98317965What system best lets us all play as DRAGONS? Like, fire-breathing, far-flying, village-destroying, hoard-gathering, city-sacking dragons? Bonus points for political intrigue and domain play.Maybe you can help?Pic related, the book series that gave me this desire.>council of wyrmsI don't like 2e
>>98317985I see, are all the players dragons? Or is just one player a dragon? Are the rest of the players just as powerful?Do you like more narrative or simulationist games? Is the goal a game of adventure (go do X quest) or a game where you are one of the powers that be.
>>98318172Not OP, just >>98317985, but I want to have all players be dragons. I think that'd be really fun.I like more game-y and crunch-y, personally. Not really into narrative games.>adventure vs sandboxEither is fine, but I lean sandbox a bit.
>>98317985GURPS, it's perfectly doable and there's even a dragon template pre-built in the Basic Set.
>>98317898What is the rest of the group like and what level are you starting? I feel rather then trying to nerf a godamn dragon to fit with your typical adventuring party, it's better go elevate everyone else so they have something to contribute to the dragon.
>>98318246Crunchy, gamey, all dragons, sandboxy, and no dnd 2e...Have you tried RIFTS before? It allows you to create Dragon PCs (and pretty much anything). You might wanna slim down the rules and toss away half the book (it has a lot of scifi stuff). If you dont like arcane old books try the microlite platinum fanmade rules rework, it optimises the rules into like 4 pages. Boxing skill is critical (gives more attacks), ban it or tell everyone to take it.I heard Scion and Exalted can do dragons too, but i didnt play those games.Hero system and Gurps can do anything of course, but i dont like them. There is a bunch of more narrative dragon games (hoard is good)
>>98318884>Exalted can do dragons tooIt can't. Exalted can do Dragonblooded, which are elemental themed superhumans, and Dragon Kings, which are D&D Dragonborn. No actual rules support for playing an elephant+ sized flying reptile, unless you count shape-shifting maybe, but you can also do that in D&D.
>>98318643That or make the Dragon situational or have to accomplish tasks scaled to its level. Maybe the dragon has to distract some equally dangerous beast until the other players can use some macguffin to take the thing out?
>>98318884I'v enever used RIFTS but I've heard of it. Will check it out, thank you!
>>983179853.5e
>>983186433.x had guidelines for how many levels to deduct from a PC due to being an OP race. But real men just adopt the dragon as their holy mount.
>>98317985>What system best lets us all play as DRAGONS?Maid RPG, duh.
>>98317985Fireborn. Literally everyone plays a dragon.
>>98317898Is the dragon player's character also a dragon?
>>98317898what's the problem? The dragon is the hammer, while the rest of the party is the anvil. The strategy is now how to best maneuver everyone into the most advantageous positions. It's only slightly more different than regular party play. Maybe something more modern, like infantry supporting a tank.
>>98317898>>the player is a red dragon is the groupso the players are controlling individual elements of the dragon? like one player is the head, another the wings and another the limbs?
>>98321354go go Power Rangers!
