What's the worst/most annoying thing a playoid has done at your table?Who was the worst person you ever played with? What's something that just plain bugged you during the last game you ran?In this thread, we take a righteous, mean, well-deserved stinking dump on the playoid menace that beguiles every honest GMs table, and discuss potential solutions for getting rid of them.
One guy who just couldnt get over the group playing the way they wanted to and he insisted on his stupid bullshit despite the fact everyone else wanted something different and they were kind of all in line with each other. I guess we called this guy DM or something like that
>>98319363>beguileslol
>>98319363>youare the worst player.
>>98319373Sounds utterly insufferable. Did you form a lynch mob and hang him from a nearby tree?
>>98319363>his hobby consists of entertaining and satisfying the desires of other men being gm is actually really gay if you think about it. why are you into that sort of thing op?
>>98320317>GM>Gay Master
>>98319363>What's the worst thing a playoid has done at your table?Anon: Yo, Rando! Just calling to remind you that the guys are gonna be here at 8PM and it's 7PM now, so I am gonna run to Subway and grab a bunch of subs for everyone. You cool with ham and cheese or you want something else?Rando: Ham and cheese is cool! See you at 8!Rando doesn't show up. So we try calling him. He doesn't answer. Doesn't respond to texts either. Group is worried so we take off to his place that is about 45 minutes away. We think he might have got in wreck or something. He was passed drunk off his ass. Good thing we got there because he was face down in his own vomit and a deep blue but we managed to bring him around. When he sobered up I asked him why he didn't just tell us he was going to stay home because he was sauced. His response? It's just a game. Who gives a shit? To be fair if he did tell us he was going to stay home, he would have drowned in his own vomit because we wouldn't have checked on him. Didn't matter much though because he died in car wreck a couple of weeks later. Not because he was drunk driving, but because his sober girlfriend was driving and tried to outrun the cops who clocked her speeding, lost control, and smashed into a tree. No drugs in their systems, no warrants, clean car, just didn't want a ticket, so he caught a tree limb through the skull and she is a basically a vegetable now.But yeah, just flaking after a confirmation and money spent on food is pretty shit tier behavior.
>>98319363players are niggersconstantly late, constantly breaking plans/surprised that we have a session. Doesn't bother bringing up the fact that plans changed even though they had days to do it.It's only every fucking week for the past 7 months. And then they have the gall to be upset that we play without them. The heal/buffbot GMPC I rolled up in 2min is more popular at the table than your faggot Gimli clone.
>>98320404>It's just a game. Who gives a shit?Honestly kinda sad. He probably didn't care much for anything else in his life. You guys were probably the realest friends he had and he was too deep in the hole to realize it.
Kill playoids, behead playoids, roundhouse kick a playoid into the concrete, slam dunk a playoid baby into the trash can, crucify filthy playoids, defecate into a playoids mouth, kick a pregnant playoid with steel toe boots, make playoids check my dubs, hang playoids like windchimes, launch playoids in a rocket into the sun, catapult playoids into an active volcano
>>98320493To be fair, we all thought he was an asshole of the highest caliber, but he was a good player. Shit at everything else. Really noticeable when me and just one other regular were the only people at his funeral besides his mother. The guy's father didn't even show up. According to his mom, the first thing his dad said upon learning he died was "Took 'im long enough". I don't think he ever worked any job longer than a month before getting into a fist fight with another employee or a customer because he would say or do something EXTREMELY rude (like tell a black family with misbehaving kids "This is why people hate niggers ") and when they were rightfully upset he say something along the lines of "Then do something about it, fag." causing a fight. He was that way with everyone and even got into fights with other players as soon as shit steered away from anything other than the game. If it was JUST game stuff? Calm and amiable. Anything else at all? Real asshole. Hell, his girlfriend that caused the wreck only became his girlfriend because he told her, "If you dropped about 150 pounds, I'd fuck you. Right now, you disgust me." when she asked him out. Girl lost the weight, so he said she was "alright now" so they started dating.
>>98319363Autism drama in my latest campaign>Player gets downed in encounter>Rolls a nat 1, 2 fails>Boss dies>expects ranger to cast Spare the Dying on him like he did during last session on everyone>Ranger RP's his character stomping out the boss' skull because it raised the corpse of their other dead player who they liked>Player wants to roll out the last save even though I said he doesn't have to>Player dies>Gets mad at Ranger, quits campaign, comes back>Ranger quits>mfw
>>98320404Good ending.
This whole genre of thread is just "bwaah waaah my players didn't follow my gay sex story nobody cares about" just more proof that the contemporary "epic adventure story" type of game does not work for tabletop. Go back to video games kiddos.
>>98319521T-that can't be true, right?
>ploid picks the character type with the complex subsystems that are a pain to handle>doesn't learn the rules for said subsystems
>>98322176uhoh, clean it up gmcuck
>>98321497There isn't a single post in this thread expressing that sentiment you fucking autist
>>98319363I have a trap in my game I call Walls Have Ears, it has a trigger based on specific words being uttered, but the twist is that it listens to the players rather than the characters. Put it in a dark room and have the trigger word be "darkvision" and hilarity ensues.
The only time I've really resented a player was a few months ago with finishing up a campaign. My team was infiltrating a heavily defended enemy stronghold and the power gamer died near the end of the map. He sent me like a 5 paragraph essay on why he shouldn't have been taken out and there were some modifiers he forgot to add and other stuff, basically begged me to undo the death. I said no and he was salty so I gave him an NPC to play with which he also tried to abuse. The game ended after that mission on a bit of a sour note, but that's pretty much the only time I've disliked a player's behavior enough to call it quits.
>>98319525Couldn't find one that could support the weight
>>98320685Sounds like an absolute legend
>>98319363Literally nothing as bad as using "[x]oid" unironically. And I had a lot of lolrandumb shit.
>>98319363A player was leading the group on a revenge quest, tracking down the villian that had murdered his family. They finally track the villian down to his home city. Player (who has just had a bunch of beers) burbles in an Elmer Fudd voice that he is now bored and wants to go hunt rabbits instead. Group are all "Ooookay?" and he says his character goes to the woods to find some, expecting the other players to follow. They don't, they instead carry on with tracking down the villain and I continue the game with just them, occasionally turning to the drunk to tell him "You catch another rabbit". He eventually gets bored and reluctantly rejoins the rest of the adventure, but his heart wasnt in it, He was always getting drunk and pulling random shit like this, so I stopped gaming with him soon after, the annoying cunt.
>>98320404Fucking hell, man! >didn't want to get a speeding ticket>got a branch to the brain instead
>>98323024that's stupid though
>>98323932endless such cases
>>98322202Playoids have to create lies like that to preemptively defend themselves from the realization that they are non-contributing parasites on the game.
