Here's the thing about relationships that people seem to have forgotten: it's not a leisure activity. It's a job. Being a boyfriend or husband is a job. When you're in a long term relationship with a woman, she's just another kind of boss. Not necessarily in the sense of being a genuine authority figure, most women hate submissive men, but in the sense that you have responsibilities you have to fulfill to her if you want to keep getting anything out of the arrangement. You have to groom yourself a certain way, not burden her with too much negativity, listen and remember things she talks about that don't naturally interest you. Nobody is going to love you for "who you are". You have to put in work. If you want sex on a regular basis, if you want to start a family, you have to do things you won't always feel like doing, just the same as earning a paycheck. If this sounds like too much work, or if you're too autistic or otherwise disabled to do it at all, then it simply isn't worth thinking about. Not everybody is physically able to play certain sports, even fewer to get any enjoyment out of it. Not everyone has the mental capacity to understand science and philosophy. Most people are perfectly fine with this. Why should relationships be any different?
